The final straw

It’s now official: Trump really IS a moron. Either that, or he’s a damned liar, a useful idiot playing right into the hands of the Evil Left, willingly acting as their cat’s paw in his completely futile, vainglorious quest for the US Presidency. Either way, another thing is now official: I’m all done with him, and will neither endorse nor support him in said fore-doomed quest.

For God’s sake, Soros did not “endorse” Ron DeSantis
George Soros wants to destroy the Republican Party. He’s made that very clear many times. So when Trump loyalists started spreading a video of remarks he made recently purporting to show Soros endorsing Ron DeSantis over Trump for the Republican nomination I knew there was something very fishy going on.

Soros did express hope that DeSantis is the Republican nominee, but not because he thought the governor would make a good president.

He hates DeSantis just as he hates Trump. What he wants is a 3-way race for president, which would guarantee a Democrat victory.

He is convinced that if DeSantis wins the Republican nomination that Donald Trump will jump into the race as a third-party candidate and lead to a Democrat landslide in the 2024 election.

Seems obvious enough, doesn’t it? Ace spells it out even more directly:

I really do not like this level of low dishonesty. Superficially the lie works — you watch the video, you see Soros say the words.

But then two days later you see the full clip and you see you’ve been duped. Now you know the guy who put the video together is a liar, and you have a bad taste in your mouth about the candidate he’s supporting.

It’s just so stupid and it winds up boomeranging back against the candidate it’s supposed to be helping. People remember when other people try to trick them, and when other people act as if they’re fools.

Treating people as if they’re fools to be duped is treating them with disrespect.

And no, that doesn’t mean Trump is treating people with disrespect. He didn’t create this meme. (I assume.) He has nothing to do with it…unless he retweets it.

I hope he doesn’t retweet it.

Sadly, that hope turned out to be every bit as vain as Trump’s “Presidential” ones, because the idiot Trump did precisely that:

Actually, it ought to have told you something, genius. As Rand Paul once famously put it: “THEY endorsed ME, but I didn’t endorse THEM.”

But who even knows anymore, maybe the fucking stupe is just hoping we’re all too blind and/or stupid to catch onto the grift, as his newest bestest buddy Soros does. Umpty-bazillion-dimensional chess, anyone? Meh. Whatevs.

Back to Ace.

Well, I was hoping that Donald Trump wouldn’t retweet the stupid lie that George Soros had endorsed Ron DeSantis, because that would just force his supporters to defend this lie, but of course he did just that today. Of course. How could he not?

Ah, I’m sure he’ll do the right and honorable thing and retract when he finds out it’s bogus.

T’ain’t funny, McGee. I’m with BCE, fully and firmly.

Art makes a good point that they’re setting (“Nikki” Haley) up for the 2028 run, as it’s looking like (for now) Orangemanbad vs Floridaman. Personally, I just want Orangemanbad to go the fuck away. He makes me tired… weary…his ‘flash in the pan’ moment is OVER and he dropped the fucking ball on ‘cleaning up the town’ like a motherfucker. He’s also too fucking old and a member of the Geriatric Brigade that seems incapable of stepping aside and enjoying all that “me!me!me” money that they sucked out of the system. If there ever was anyone who symbolizes the Degenerate Yuppie/Boomer Scum, it’s “The Donald”.

DeSantis, man I pray that he’s not running.

He needs to stay in situ, and become Dictator of GeorgiFloriBama when the wheels come fully off.

Yes indeedy, right down the line.

As I’ve said here before, when I was living in NYC I considered Trump to be little more than a tiresome annoyance, what with his constant appearances on the TeeWee, promoting himself and his various endeavors, pimping for the Clintons ceaselessly as he did back then. I changed my mind about the guy when he started saying all the right things in 2015 as a long-odds-against candidate for Prexy, and was behind him all the way even when, as President, he reneged on his oft-repeated campaign vows to “drain the Swamp” by “hiring only the best people” (*coughcough ComeyPenceSessionsBarrMattisGarlandetcetc ad infinitum ad nauseam coughcough*).

“So much winning you’ll get tired of all the winning”? Yeah, about all that…

No longer. Enough, at long last, is enough. At least, for me it is. YMMV, of course and as always.

In sum, then, to hell with Trump. And, even though he’s accomplished more of real, lasting import in his tenure as Governor than Trump managed in his one and only term as PoTUS, should DeSantis go back on his previous declaration that he wouldn’t be running, to hell with him too. NeverTrump, OnlyTrump, whatthefuckever—a pox on ALL their houses, I say.

  1. Soros is a Jew, and yearns for the “good old days” of his Messiahs – Lenin and Stalin. And the filthy Koch-sucking Rove Republican swill are fine with that.
And never forget that Trump’s nominees had to be approved by Congress! Do you rally think he could have gotten anyone better through?

    1. Not all of them, actually, and it certainly shouldn’t have stopped him from firing all the Obama stay-behinds he opted to leave in place for whatever incomprehensible reason and just leaving the positions vacant, thereby draining the Swamp by starving the beast lurking within it. I’m tired of making excuses for him, particularly when firing everybody and hiring in their own choices had been the road taken by most if not all of his predecessors, going all the way back to Clinton at least.

No more excuses. The bottom line remains that Trump had his chance already, and he failed. Time to let somebody who isn’t an octogenarian have a go at it. They’re going to fail too, of course, right up til the day the whole rotten, morbidly-obese edifice collapses of its own gross weight.

      1. And what a colossal failure it was, Mike. Just as a reminder of the colossal failure, the list:

        1) stopped ISIS cold
        2) EO stopping the drug companies from charging medicare more than what they charged foreign countries
        3) EO forcing hospitals to disclose their prices
        4) Move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem
        5) ENERGY INDEPENDENCE for the first time in my lifetime of 70 years, and record low energy prices
        6) Started no new wars
        7) Elimination of regulations, required to eliminate 8 to add a new one
        8) Cut Taxes across the board
        9) Increased the individual tax credit eliminating the need to file more complicated returns
        10) Started the space force, sorely needed today
        11) Replaced NAFTA with an agreement better for American workers
        12) Put tariffs on china, starting the process of moving American production out of the enemy’s land
        13) Brought back massive amounts of money saved in foreign countries
        14) Withdrew from the farce know as the Paris Climate Accords
        15) Withdrew from the Iran deal
        16) Increased the $$$ of the average family by over 5K IIRC
        17) Started the process of fixing the VA
        18) Increased the spending by other NATO countries
        19) Killed the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)
        20) Created several million jobs, actual creation not bafflegab bullshit
        21) Economic growth rates were going up, somewhere around 4% before the marxist killed the economy with the scam chinaVirus
        22) Lowest rate of unemployment ever, across the board for blacks, hispanics, asians, veterans, etc.
        23) Opened ANWAR and had the Keystone pipeline being constructed

There is much more of course.

That’s just a short list. Trump did this by himself, with little to no help from the republican party opposition from the republican party and the democrats. He did this while the deep state through the FBI, intelligence agencies, congress, and the DOJ were conducting illegal surveillance and investigations. But Trump didn’t falter, didn’t stop. He just kept on working.

No one else was capable of doing this, no one else has ever done this, no one else will.

  2. So now we have “Jeb!”, RINO Paul Ryan, and Marxist George Soros wanting Ron DeSanctis—Does that tell you anything? Remember, Ron fought hard to very unfairly cut Social Security and Medicare. Also, wanted to raise the age limit for Social Security to at least 70-years-old.

There is not one thing untrue or moronic about that statement. Nothing needs to be “defended” because it is 100% accurate. The statement defends itself with honesty.

And the elephant in the room remains
DeSantis is supported by the GOPe, the Bush family (frat brothers), Karl Rove, Paul Ryan, Rupert Murdoch (and his “book” payoff), and the Wall St moneymen, not to mention Dominion voting systems.

If you want more china, “be done” with Trump and go for the globalist, DeSantis. Clear as a bell.

    Where was “Ace” in 2015/16?
Ever notice that certain people are always getting “done” with Trump, but are not bothered by the globalists that have carefully scripted speech?
Maybe Ace is just a fat dumbass with a microphone.

    1. My mistake thinking “Ace” said something he didn’t say. I no longer read there, haven’t for quite a long time because it’s just a clickbait website IMO.
The original article is from hotgas, not exactly known to be in the “Put America First” category.

Now, the meat – hotgas claims that Trumps supporters are pushing the “Soros endorsed DeSantis” story/video. I’m a Trump supporter and I never posted the video here for good reason, I knew Soros didn’t “endorse” DeSantis but instead will do anything to see Trump defeated.

Let’s repeat that, Soros will do anything to see Trump defeated.

That might be a clue to something.

      1. “No one else was capable of doing this, no one else has ever done this, no one else will.”

We’d all better hope that last part isn’t so; Trump isn’t immortal, so if it is, we’re all doomed. Not that he stands any chance whatsoever of being President again anyway.

“Let’s repeat that, Soros will do anything to see Trump defeated.”

What Soros wants, I think, is to have a big say in who becomes President. To that end, Soros is playing Trump and DeSantis against each other, and Trump is cooperating fully with him in that effort. That alone tells me plenty, all I really need to know. Nobody ever defeated Evil by playing along with it, not that I know of at least.

Of those Trump accomplishments you listed above—which I applauded him for at the time myself, loud and long—nearly all were undone by lunchtime on Biden’s first day. It’s of no interest to me who roosts behind the Resolute Desk now, other than as the dumbshow it is, pure entertainment.

Trump was the best President in my entire lifetime, for sure and certain, and he can still make a meaningful contribution, something else I’ve said before. But his ego won’t allow it, and that’s a damned shame. Whatever else he may be, he is neither a saint nor a savior.

        1. Those accomplishments were undone because the republican party would not help when they had control of both houses.

And no one else has ever done anything like it. No one. No one else ever will since Musk is ineligible. You can hope all you want, but it doesn’t change the simple fact that everyone else running will be 100% beholden to someone owned by china. I there some slim possibility that another man like Trump will come along? Sure, but not in our lifetime. There have only been two, Trump and Ike. And they were 64 years apart.

I agree with what Soros wants. It’s to destroy the USA. And first order of business for him is to stop Trump. Whatever that takes.

          1. And no one else has ever done anything like it. No one. No one else ever will since Musk is ineligible.”

Couldn’t agree more with ya there, Barr.

  3. I’m hoping Ron adds North Kakalacky to his GeorgiFloriBama domains. Ave Desantis Imperatrix.

  4. A good reason to support Trump: His election would cause many ProgLibTurds to scream themselves into a fatal aneurysm.

  5. And, even though he’s accomplished more of real, lasting import in his tenure as Governor than Trump managed in his one and only term as PoTUS…

Is that a joke, Mike? Nothing, not one thing that DeSantis has done is of real import to the average American. It’s been said and it’s true, that Jeb Bush was a good governor of Florida.

Real, lasting import? DeSantis is in the fortunate position of having a overwhelming republican legislature that works with the governor. It’s mostly feel good/look good stuff though. The really hard stuff has been in place since long before DeSantis.

That’s not a knock on DeSantis. He has been a good Gov. But that is a fairly easy job when you are surrounded by a republican legislature instead of a party apparatus bent upon destroying America while lining their pockets.

Put a dem governor and legislature in Florida and every bit of that can and will be undone in the first term. Probably in the first month.

The position of governor and the position of president are not even remotely the same. And there are more snakes in the DC Swamp than the entire Everglades. No comparison is remotely possible.

We’ll never fucking win, because we can’t even accept a winner when they come along.

  6. Daddy Bush said Reaan’s fiscal plans amounted to “voodoo economics”, yet somehow found himself selected, twice, as the great man’s vice-president, and helped him win two national elections, including the biggest electoral landslide in U.S. history.

This is just politics, and worse, it’s not the semi-finals, or even the regular season, it’s just exhibition games. Save “last straws” for when it matters, and please, I pray, stop doing the MSM’s work for them.

DeSantis would have trouble filling a Denny’s outside FL, and Trump regularly sells out stadiums, and would even do so in North Dakota or Wyoming. And there ain’t gonna be two candidates on the ticket from the same state. When that happens, it’s called a senatorial election, not a presidential one.

And rest assured, the minute he ever were to become the front-runner, in this or any future year, DeSantis – or anyone else – will suddenly stop getting a tongue bath and softball media coverage, and instead find a media blowtorch turned at his face, a gauntlet at which Trump is a Jedi master, while DeSantis is yet a green padawan.

Note the hook in that worm, and stop taking the bait.

And then ponder the question of whether any actual conservative (or even merely “non-captured” Republican) candidate in any election will ever get a fair shake at the polls again in your lifetime.

The suggestion itself is nearly risible, at this point.

    1. “…while DeSantis is yet a green padawan

Of note, DeSantis was never a fighter in the nature of Trump, always keeping his head down. Once the GOP handlers came in they are trying to copy the Trump style thinking that will sell the Government Man.
