It turns out that quercetin – found in citrus peels and apple and grape skins, is a good zinc ionophore, so if you want to guard against a whole host of viruses, including the common cold virus, 500mg of quercetin per day and 30 mg of Zinc – as zinc acetate – per day, should be good protection. In addition, you won’t be getting any allergies either – quercetin is a good anti-allergy compound. And the best thing is that both zinc acetate and quercetin are cheap – a 90 day supply might set you back by about $25…
