A trifle too Satanic?

I’d say so, yeah.

Target needs to experience a Bud Light movement
It seems to me that Target, the well-known department store chain, is actively working against normal people and seeking to impose an anti-Christian, “woke”, sometimes blatantly pro-perversion ethos on its customers and our nation. Not content with “selling ‘tuck-friendly’ bathing suits, LGBTQ onesies for babies, ‘trans power’ T-shirts [and] drag queen books for young children”, the chain has now hired an openly Satanist designer to offer LGBTQ gear in its aisles.

The garments are from a company called AbPrallen, run by someone who gives his name only as “Erik”. I’ll let him describe his beliefs in this description of one of his T-shirts.

Satan Respects Pronouns Tee

Satan loves you and respects who you are. You’re important and valuable in this world and you deserve to treat yourself with love and respect.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about The Satanic Temple, and to a lesser extent, The Church of Satan, how they’re so frequently misunderstood and demonised (pun not intended) and how LGBT+ people are so often referred to as being a product of Satan or going against God’s will.

Satanists don’t actually believe in Satan, he is merely used as a symbol of passion, pride, and liberty. He means to you what you need him to mean. So for me, Satan is hope, compassion, equality, and love.

So, naturally, Satan respects pronouns. He loves all LGBT+ people. The Church of Satan openly accepts LGBT+ people, it has done since it was created in the 60s and the more recent Satanic Temple accepts them too, with open arms.

I’ve always loved the juxtaposition of “creepy” or “weird” things being presented as soft or cute and personally I think Baphomet, a mystical deity, looks very charming in their pastel colours; Baphomet themself is a mixture of genders, beings, ideas, and existences. They hardly fit into binary stereotypes.

So, Target regards a person with those views as someone who’s ideally positioned to sell products to their customers; and those who buy those products are, with their consumer dollars, supporting those views and enabling “Erik” to go on propagandizing them.

Okay then, how Satanic does Target need to be in order to be considered TOO Satanic? I mean, this definitely crosses my own personal threshold, but YMMV.

  1. I’d boycott the bastards but I’m already doing that from a few years back.

  2. Two months ago I made a Target run. I also hit the grocery section to clear my grocery list. I had about 25 items in the cart. There were no cashiers and it was self check out only. There were 3 employees managing the self checkout of 4 stations and receipt verification at the door. My time was more important to me. I am a Project Manager not a cashier. I left the cart an isle away from the registers. It had refrigerable items.

    FJB and Target

    1. I’m a faster cashier than many of them these days. I go to the self checkout to save time…

  3. They lost a few billion in market cap this week. Damn shame, right

  4. There’s a Catch-22 here and once again the Left has devised a good heads I win, tails you lose plan.

Disney in my youth was wholesome family entertainment. Every kid I knew watched The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings, usually with their parents. Also, Bud was the most popular beer for both white and blue collar alike. Chances are your Dad was drinking it and most of your friend’s Dads. From company picnics to backyard BBQ you were likely to find a Bud.
Similarly, Target seems to be akin to Sears or Woolworths back in my youth.

These Leftists are taking over the corporate boardrooms, paying themselves 7-8 figure paychecks, killing off these iconic brands and when they walk away they take 100s of millions of dollars with them.

I liken it to demon possession. The Leftists are possessing these companies and destroying them and getting rich in the process.

We need to find a way to exorcise these Demons without also killing the hosts.

Other things destroyed by Leftists? Professional Sports, one by one. Now they’re targeting College Sports.

This is The Commie playbook. Right out of Gramsci (March through the Institutions) and Cloward-Piven (overwhelm the systems).

    1. These Leftists are taking over the corporate boardrooms…

I would like to understand how they are doing this. It’s being payed for by somebody.

      1. Two ways.

ESG scores get government “investigating” you or regulators chomping down on you.

The largest Fund Management Companies are run by Leftists and the shares they control in their Funds, even though they don’t own them, are used to vote these people in.

Fink at Blackrock is the most notorious.

Oh and then there are the Dynamic Woke Duo of Buffett and Gates pressuring CEOs.

        1. All these companies have stock holders. You would think they would be unhappy losing money.

I realize the leftists have taken over, I just don’t understand people losing $$$ and not putting an end to it.

          Government is always the problem.

          1. Look at who are the largest shareholders in almost every single S&P 500 company in America.

They are Funds managed by 6-10 fund companies. Like Blackrock and Vanguard. The fund managers vote the shares, not the actual fund holders.

So the shareholders largely no longer have a say in the running of their own holdings. Fund Managers like Fink call up the CEO and tell them that they better get their ESG scores up or he will have to look at voting for an alternative slate of directors that may find a different CEO.

Likewise, Gates Foundation holds shares in many large companies and give them the same message.

Finally regulators can pressure banks who do business with them to pressure them on ESG. Or the regulators pressure them directly if they’re a regulated company.

            1. The fund managers vote the shares, not the actual fund holders.

This is something I know but hadn’t considered as the root cause of the problem. The funds ARE the majority holders, and so the funds are all you need to have control of.

IOW’s the 401K legislation was designed for this outcome…
