Treatment for an epidemic of evil

Kunstler offers a prescription.

Call the Exorcist
You might be among those who have noticed that the people in authority in our country appear increasingly insane. It ought to be self-evident that this is deeply disturbing, but I will explain anyway to allay any residual mystification. In a sane human society, authority is granted to those who are trustworthy. People earn trust by demonstrating their allegiance to reality. Things generally work better when the people running them maintain cordial relations with reality. Now, you understand why so many things don’t work in the USA.

What more subtle minds are asking these days is this: when does this insanity tip over into evil? Especially the insanity evinced in our authority figures. How about when someone positively denies reality in the act of doing harm. How about Rochelle Walensky, Director of the CDC. Ms. Walensky is, to this moment, still proffering mRNA Covid-19 “vaccines” for children despite the reality that reams of evidence exist showing these products to be harmful, even deadly — and, in particular, by the previously exacting standards of the CDC’s sister agency, the FDA, which hold that just a few demonstrated injuries will lead to a drug being withdrawn from medical practice. (Ms. Walensky is a medical doctor, by the way.)

The political Left these days is determined to promote sexual confusion as a crucial component of the common good. Politicians, agency officials, corporate executives, the chiefs of NGOs and public interest organizations all support public demonstrations of ignoble and sinister sexual acts, often involving the inversion of sexual roles between male and female.

If you object to this behavior, you may be subject to extreme punishment (loss of career) for “transphobia.” The Left is taunting America with exhibitions like this (notice the child in the background at center). Is it not clear that this is some sort of insult to decency? The Left wants the non-Left to respond with acts of violence so that the Left can proceed to disarm the non-Left and prevent any opposition to the Left’s more serious plans to abolish personal liberty, such as a Central Bank Digital Currency that can monitor all your spending, punish you for your economic choices, and confiscate your earnings. The Left does these things in the name, they say, of “our democracy.” It’s a lie, of course. Democracy is the last thing they really care about. They do it in the name of pushing everybody around because all they really care about is coercion and punishment (applied with maximum sadism).

Human religious lore has it that the figure of Satan is the Father of Lies. Satan is the personification of evil. The political Left and the vehicle it rides on, the Democratic Party, with phantom president “Joe Biden” in the driver’s seat, has become the Party of Satan. We are in the presence of evil. (Call them psychopaths, if you’re more comfortable with that.) Whether you are religious or not, the Left represents a force at war with reality, and it happens to be at war against the rest of us. You can’t negotiate with it. It lies always and everywhere about everything. It must be vanquished.

Annnnd bingo. By “vanquished,” we should mean precisely that: no quarter, no mercy asked or offered—and most emphatically, no flinching from use of any means required of us to put the Great Enemy down. No, it doesn’t mean he won’t sooner or later arise again to resume his war on all that’s good and decent; almost certainly, he will. But neither does that unpleasant reality in any way absolve us from doing our duty, from living up to our solemn obligation to act in our own defense.

In such an epochal struggle as this, lethargy, complacency, and denial are just as potentially lethal an enemy as the Satanic Left itself is. No, we don’t have to like it. But neither do we have to just blandly accept living with it; in fact, if we are to survive, we mustn’t. In The Fellowship Of The Ring, Tolkien said it best:

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.

“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

And there you have it, ‘nuff said.

  1. One of the best books on this that i’ve ever read was “People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Evil.” by M Scott Peck. Peck was a psychiatrist who advocated making “evil” a psychiatric diagnosis. He was in the Army, he headed the psychiatric investigation into the My Lai massacre in the Vietnam war. By the time he retired, he was a firm believer in possession. The year he died, in 2005, he wrote his last book “Glimpses of the Devil: A Psychiatrist’s Personal Accounts of Possession, Exorcism, and Redemption ” For reasons not important here, I’ve known a number of truly evil people. Peck hits the nail on the head.

  2. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

    True in everything one does.

The democrat party tipped over into evil many years ago. I tend to think it was during the Reagan years when they fell to “the devil” completely.

However, this thinking ignores their partners in crime, the republicans. Those that aid the murders are just as guilty, just as corrupt, and just as evil. The only difference between the two is that in the elite core of the democrat party they are 100% evil and the republicans have a few that are not.

    1. If was the 60s when the Commies got into our education systems and taught that their evil (Communism and The USSR) was good and that Our good (Individualist Freedom and America).

They had the kids on drugs and thinking that America fighting the Commies trying to take over South Asia in particular and The World in general was an Unjust Evil War.

      1. Yea, I think you’re right, the 60’s was the start of the worst of it. I’m not so sure how prevalent drug use was though (not counting alcohol). Some parts of the country were consumed, while others barely knew it existed (I graduated HS in 1971, South Carolina) and never even saw a bag of pot until my senior year*). The Vietnam war coupled with the draft led to the beginning of the end IMO. Had we simply won the war over a few weeks, which we were entirely capable of doing, then none of that acrimony would have plagued the country. But as Eisenhower warned, the military industrial complex wanted a forever war, and were willing to see us die in it. 50K of us did, for no damn good reason. We could have ended that war the same way Nixon did it, bomb, bomb, bomb Hanoi. War over, 50K lives saved.

*And my friends and I were not religious or any other persuasion that would indicate we purposely stayed away, it just wasn’t around in a big enough way. Contrast with just a few years later when it was everywhere. I’ve often credited that timing with saving me, as we were risk takers.

        1. Just 10 years later in my HS about half the class had taken drugs.
          But that’s a NYC suburb so…

In the 60s the drug push by the Commies were focused in College Liberal Arts schools and in the inner cities. Really what it did was set the stage for the widespread use of drugs in the 70s. In 1967 the limited drug use they had gotten going was pushed by the “counterculture” (our Cultural Revolution) as a romanticized version of “Freedom!” and “Sticking it to the Man!”. Monterey, the Summer of Love, Woodstock, and all the Rock Stars and Movie Stars and other Beautiful People were glorifying it.

Of course, those same things could be channeled into the Anti-War Movement and the basic Anti-American Agenda that was pushed simultaneously.

Recall that many people while on drugs are susceptible to “suggestion” and not always thinking straight.

When John Lennon got off the merry-go-round, sobered up and started “watching the wheels go round” he started to confess that maybe even Ronald Reagan was not the evil basterd he had been led to believe!!

          1. That’s as good an explanation as any and seems accurate. We know the commies were, and still are, pushing drugs as fast as they can.

For that alone I’d nuke ’em, every damn one.

The world would be a far better place after a sizable portion of it was obliterated. I’m accepting write in votes to be the owner of the nuclear football.

  3. “The Left wants the non-Left to respond with acts of violence so that the Left can proceed to disarm the non-Left …” On this day in 1775, April 19, the British King tried to do that to a number of my ancestors in Massachusetts – and they not only refused to be disarmed, but actively shot back at, and killed and wounded the King’s men, the Regulars. Those guns which we have may indeed have to be used. Anyone who tries to disarm you intends to make you his slave, never forget that.
