Over the past week or two, I’ve been collecting memes, downloading like a fiend every time I see a good ‘un and adding them to the hoard against some far-off future day when they might come in useful around here. Thus, the following meme-dump. No links back to where I originally found them, because pain in the fecking ass, that’s why. Also, I don’t recall where most of ‘em came from anyway. Enjoy.
Man, if I keep this up I’m gonna need to buy an external hard drive just to store these things.

By the way, that first one, cat and dog, remind me of the experimental dog, Goldie. Long ago, had been married just a few years, when Goldie showed up. She was injured as a result of a pack of dogs attacking her. Big girl but young, she was almost great Dane size and would seem to be a mixed breed*. She was explosively fast and a real sweetheart. She would often sleep on the back porch with the cat curled up on top of her snoozing right along. I think there’s pictures but it’s been almost 40 years. I had never seen a dog and cat so close.
The cat’s another story, a squirrel killer extreme.
*as it turns out there was a doctor down in Georgia trying to create a new dog breed with Great Dane, Greyhound, and German Shepard as the prime ingredients. Goldie was one of those we found out later.
This thread needs more dog stuff.

Lizards are on my mind today – My wife noticed a rather large rat poop in the sunroom. Clearly bigger than a mouse so I went to the store to get one of the larger traps, which they didn’t have. What they had were these glue traps, big ones, so I thought I’d give that a try. Three days go by with no action and my wife informs me this morning that we have a lizard, a blue tailed skink. Poor thing was stuck. I tried my best to remove the little beast without damage but I’m pretty sure it didn’t survive. It did drag itself under a bush so maybe…
Picked up the glue traps and threw them out.
