Let’s be clear, it damn well does. In NC we now have a veto proof conservative majority. We have a supreme court that is now a conservative overwhelming majority, and they just overturned their own previous ruling by a democrat/marxist meddling court that only existed to protect the marxists.
The state will now be reapportioned, and it will be the conservatives that do it. This might result in four more conservative congress-critters in DC from the state of NC.
Not only that but they overruled the previous ruling blocking the 2018 Voter ID Law.

The transgender movement claims that its members identify in some intangible way as being members of a different sex and that ‘feeling’ should override mere biology and science.
But as is usually the case with the Left, the goalposts don’t stay there, they move dramatically.
Attempts by Republicans and liberals to restrict the use of destructive forms of “gender-affirming care” from puberty blockers to radical surgery on minors have been met with hysteria and threats by everyone from Biden on down. 16-year-olds and then 12-year-olds, and then 8-year-olds, we are told, can meaningfully change gender and consent to drastic surgical procedures. But the goalposts keep moving down from there.
How far down?
Sloan Rachmuth at Education First NC profiles major “clinics” attached to medical facilities at universities that are dealing with 2 and 3-year-olds.
There’s plenty more at EdFirstNC’s site, but the upshot is that the transgender mutilation movement is well past the notion of any kind of meaningful choice, it’s just a supposed observed innate reality.
The transgender movement began by claiming that the ‘feelings’ of its members trumped biology and then went on to describe this sense as ‘gender identity’ and as being so innate that it can be detected in 2-year-olds.
There’s no actual science in this mix. It’s a grotesque set of abuses that in predictable fashion began with affirming choices to imposing them on the most vulnerable population…toddlers.
On the one hand, the transgender movement claims to be driven by the need to validate choices, and on the other, in a familiar narrative within the LGBTQ movement, claims that there are no actual choices, but that its form of identity is innate and all that’s left is to accept it or to discriminate against it, choice does not enter into it.
Who then determines that a 2-year-old is transgender? Transgender activists like Adkins, Muchaunsen-by-Proxy mothers who thrive on the attention (and I suppose grotesquely mutilating your children beats chopping them up into pieces and burying them Lori Vallow Daybell style, but not by that much) who track that unfortunate child into a life of dangerous drugs and unnecessary surgeries that will doom his chance of living any kind of normal life and vastly increase his chances of dying in his twenties or thirties of suicide or medical problems.
That an entire cultural and political movement and party have gone all in on this may be one of the most frightening things in American history.

Shocking findings by one journalist, Sloan Rachmuth, show just how much we’ve fallen as a society. Several hospitals in North Carolina are now allegedly transitioning toddlers and are training future primary care doctors on how to proceed with these treatments.
In 2015, Duke Medicine created a brand new Gender Clinic offering a variety of services to kids and teens with gender dysphoria. In 2017, Dr. Deanna Adkins, director of the Duke Center for Child and Adolescent Gender Care, revealed that she had transgender patients as young as 2 years old. “They are not old enough to consciously just choose to do that [to be trans],” Dr. Adkins said about her patients. “It is not a choice in any of my patients. It’s really an unpleasant thing to have going on in your body to feel that distress about yourself. I can’t imagine anyone who would choose to do that.”
UNC Health is reportedly evaluating children as young as 3 years old for gender dysphoria. On their official website, they say they accept self-referrals from individuals as young as 4 who are interested in transitioning. “We accept referrals from other mental health providers and medical providers seeking consultation on their transgender or gender non-binary patients (ages 4-30 years) undergoing or exploring all forms of gender-affirming care,” the description under the “Referrals” section reads.

It continues, “We also accept self-referrals from individuals or family members of individuals (ages 4-30 years) who are interested in exploring a gender-affirming evaluation, and also those in need of support or consultation during any phase of transition.”
The madness doesn’t stop there. Every third Wednesday of every month, the Gender Affirming Care Clinic offers free gender-affirming care to those looking to transition. Their services include “prescriptions for hormone therapy, general primary care, letters of support for surgery, and referrals to other resources and providers.” Luckily, this only applies to those who are adults, but who knows what will happen in the future.
ECU Health also opened its LGBTQ+ Clinic one year ago. Dr. Colby Dendy, East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine clinical assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics, said she believes gender-affirmation care should be for “people of all ages,” as reported by The East Carolinian. “The literature tells us that kids can start around age four having their gender identity, so we do not want to exclude anybody within the pediatrics realm,” Dr. Dendy claimed. “A big part of our goal is to provide affirming primary care to everybody in LGBTQ+ spectrum.”
In recent years, there has been a growing concern over the rise in transition regret among individuals who underwent hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery. This regret has been linked to various factors, including the impact of media on children and teenagers. Platforms like TikTok and Twitter have played a significant role in shaping the perception of gender among young people. In this case, though, it’s worse – the parents, who are tasked with protecting their kids, are making the decision to “affirm” their children, a process that is irreversible and harmful in the long run.

Our culture keeps trying to convince us that it’s perfectly normal for minors to receive puberty blockers at a young age if they know deep down that they’re transgender and don’t identify with the gender they were “assigned at birth.” Anyone who dares to speak out against the idea that minors should be given hormone therapy or even surgery to affirm they gender identity is called a bigot, transphobe, or worse. Author J.K. Rowling has been on the receiving end of threats and attacks after she declared that children’s transgender procedures are “one of the worst medical scandals” in the last century. But a story that emerged from the UK only proves how right Rowling was.
18-Year-Old Boy Died after Doctors Tried To Create a Vagina from Part of His ColonA 2016 medical article reveals details about an 18-year-old boy’s death due to complications that arose from a gender-affirming surgery, as reported by The Post Millennial. This paper was part of a linchpin Dutch study that laid the groundwork for child sex change operations. The boy was given puberty blockers at a young age because he claimed that he was truly a girl. These medications resulted in a lack of penile tissue developing in his body, which was the reason that surgeons removed part of his colon in order to perform a vaginoplasty, a surgery that essentially attempts to create a “neo-vagina” in male patients.
The patient was described as a “healthy” teenager, but within 24 hours of the surgery, he experienced necrotising fascitis, a rare bacterial infection that can spread quickly in the body and result in death. Doctors attempted to save him by administering intravenous antibiotics and “repeated surgical debridement” (which removes dead or infected tissue), but multiple of his organs went into failure and he died. Further investigation showed that the patient suffered a deadly strain of E-Coli that likely originated from his own intestines.
And yet many medical experts and hospitals claim that these surgeries are not only safe but are also necessary for people who suffer from gender dysphoria and seek to have their true gender affirmed. The researchers of this Dutch study still declare that vaginoplasty has a “positive influence” on transgender people’s lives. @BillboardChris, an activist who exposes the dangers of the trans agenda, shared graphic photos on Twitter of what the boy looked like in the last few days of his life. He also reminded his followers that “this surgery is being done in children’s hospitals across the US,” sharing a video of Boston Children’s Hospital in which a doctor claims they “reconstruct things the way they were supposed to be for that patient.”
Many people in the comment section express disgust and heartbreak over the fact that so many young people are being subjected to this Frankenstein-like surgery. “How this is not considered a violation of Hippocratic Oath and against all logic will forever confuse me,” one person replied. Perhaps the most disheartening part of this story is that there is an increasing number of people in our society who support this kind of medical butchery in the name of progressive gender theory. If you dare to speak out against this kind of mutilation online, you are shadow banned, censored, or worse, deplatformed.
Conservative commentator Matt Walsh recently had his content censored on YouTube because he used a trans person’s biological pronouns and heavily criticizes gender ideology. He has since been posting his full episodes to Twitter, which is being hailed as one of the only free-speech platforms left online.

So, first, the author is full of shit, has no business writing on a subject she knows nothing about. 2nd, there is nothing in this article about UNC medical performing any gender surgery on children.
We are left with the basic fact that East Carolina University is the school confirmed to be performing gender altering surgery on children. But rather than complaining to the school there, you are intent upon trying to prove something else, to smear the reporter of the facts by smearing UNC.
I’m for putting a halt to all of this shit at every damn school and medical facility in the state. That should be done through the legislature.
