Looks like Mr Trump has resumed “limited air strikes” against the Mullahs, which I’m okay with, really. Although I still believe that what with the cringeworthy pleading for “negotiations,” “cease-fires,” and “peace deals” from the Trump admin, the Mullahs have likely concluded that
- The US remains a paper tiger, a mere hollowed-out shell of its former WW2-era self
- At bottom, the fact is that neither this nation’s government nor its people have the stomach, the will, or the pugnacity required to wage war and win against a determined enemy
- Despite our military capabilities, they therefore have little to fear from the US—irrespective of which side of the uniParty coin happens to be in charge at any given time
Ultimately, it all boils down to this:
Trump has been trying to induce the murderous mullahs in Iran to make the reasonable choice and surrender, but in half a century of perpetual terrorism, the Iranian regime has yet to show any sign that they value reason over religious fanaticism. If you believe Allah has given you a mission to destroy the “great Satan” America and will reward you through eternity for fighting to do so, you’re not likely to make well-reasoned choices.
The Iranian regime has repeatedly violated ceasefires, rejected every peace offer from Trump, and most recently put out a €50 million, or approximately $58 million, price on Trump’s head, just after an Iran-tied assassin made an attempt on Ivanka Trump.
It remains to be seen how many more strikes it will take to bring the terrorist regime in Tehran completely to its knees. Hopefully every last genocidal jihadi leader will have gone to meet his master below before we’re through.
Hopefully, yeah. Because until Trump’s stated goal (initially, at least) of removing/replacing the Mad Mullah regime is achieved, then we won’t actually BE through, nor will we have won a damned thing. It’s a lead-pipe cinch that, should this latest round in the Fifty Years’ War© peter out with a pallid, half-assed “victory,” we’ll be right back over there in ten-20 years to do it all over again.
BOTTOM LINE: Before the Mad Mullah regime can be removed/replaced, the Mullahs will have to be dead, dead, DEAD…ALL the Mad Mullahs. All else aside, THAT is the real job here, THAT is the only real solution to the half-century-old Iran Problem. Since our Iranian enemies are implacable, resolute, single-minded extremists, they will never back down, never yield, never abandon the dream of world domination. This is a foe who cannot be reasoned with, bargained with, or talked down off the apocalyptic ledge his primitve ideology has forced him out onto.
Assuming, of course, that there’s ever a non-D卐M☭CRAT PoTUS again, that is. Grim as it all looks from here, we must all hope.
All of which leaves us with two stark, unpleasant scenarios: 1) we put ’em down like rabid dogs, ruthlessly, in great enough numbers that the ragged few survivors are left in such terror of the American infidel that the very idea of ever lifting a finger against us again reduces them to stammering, pants-pissing quasi-catatonia; 2) we stack arms, beg for mercy, and swear total fealty to Allah the All Powerful, All Merciful, and All Benevolent.
In the first, the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who execute it will be haunted by sweaty, vivid nightmares and dreadful flashbacks rerunning slaughter, carnage, and dead comrades for the rest of their days. In the second, we will be slaves, all pride, dignity, and individual determination stripped from each and every one of us by our triumphanr enemy.
Bad as both options are, I can’t see any difficulty about deciding which scenario I prefer. Nor do I feel the least guilt over it. Because the US government supported the Shah for decades—a real piece of work himself, who treated his populace cruelly and harshly—the Revolutionary Pisslamic government, once it had deposed him,, embarked on a long-term campaign of terrorism, guerilla warfare, and despicable murder in search of revenge. The attacks, the recriminations, the insults and denunciations have neitther stopped nor slowed since the Mullahs seized power in 1979, effectively assuming the mantle of proto-feudal Warlords Of Persia.
SO, then: either we hike up our Big Boy Britches, gird our loins, and put an end to this vicious, Neantherdal nut-jobbery once and for all; OR: we resign ourselves to the national shame and disgrace of being the whipping boy for the Mullahs; accept a certain amount of annual civilian casualties from Moslem terrorist violence and the lowered standard of living which comes along with abject cowardice and defeat; and wash our hands of the whole sordid mishegoss. Then, we hold a press conference to declare “victory,” cross our fingers, and pray for a happy ending.
We’ll know soon enough whether or not Amerika v2.0 is up to the task before it.

Rump needs to shit or get off the pot, my gut sez he’s beyond any point where he could save face.
Scenario #3 – we fart around until the economy blows up, and everyone goes after everyone elses throat. That one’s the most likely. We’ll piddle around all summer as supply chains start shutting down, and the republicans get clobbered in the mid terms. You know they’ll start squealing to settle this before September.
So we’ll screw around, declare victory, and move on empty handed. The Iranians know this. Watch what happens next – they are opening up the innerwebs there now. They’ll be all sorts of horrible video coming out.
I’m wondering if Xi didn’t have a Sinai moment with Trump. This mess over there is bad for business – there’s and Europes.
I saw this over at TabletMag: Trump’s JCPOA. I gotta admit, it doesn’t feel like it’s going well, any more.
Tactical nukes?
Why do you believe anything in that article?
I wouldn’t say I believe it. I could equally believe that Trump is playing eleven-dimensional chess and everything’s going to be awesome.
But there are smart people who believe Trump is stuck with no good options, and I don’t have an argument to gainsay that. I get a sinking feeling when the talking points keep getting recycled. When the strikes initially started, I felt like I understood the plan. I don’t feel that way any more.
It’s just a feeling. I don’t know what to believe.
Fair enough.
Here is what I can tell you and be absolute certian of –
Iran was a threat to Israel, to the region, to Europe, and especially to the “Great Satan”. They were actively attempting to manufacture multiple nuclear weapons and once they possesed them they would blackmail the rest of the world if not just use them. Why else do they want them?
No president to date has had the guts to take them on, not bush, nor bush 2, nor reagan. And of course the democrats are in league with any enemy of America, they were helping them, enough said.
The recent historical record is quite clear – Trump does not do things half assed. Trump does not shy away from the hard things, Trump does not “give up”, he just keeps working at it. Trump is not a conventional POS politician, so his methods look different. His methods work. Look around. See any illegals crossing the border? The entire deep state ia arrayed against Donald Trump and he has defied them, and risks his own life to do it.
The cost of doing nothing far exceeds the cost of dealing with them now.
If not now, when? If not Trump, who?
The west is full of pussies. Trump is not one of them.
Iran is just one domino in the big game:
Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Canaduh, europe, South America large,
and China. The big prize is being taken apart right before your eyes.
Most are blind.
Don’t be blind.
Of course you’re right about all that. That’s why I can believe this is an eleven-dimensional chess game.
I see some ardent Trump-naysayers among the America-aligned, and for them I have the same question as you. Too soon? Really? If not now, when?
It’s gratifying to see our military so lethal, coordinated and competent, to kidnap Maduro without killing him and rescue the downed F-15 airman.
If Trump can straighten out this Hormuz thing, then our maritime empire will reign supreme with control over Panama, Suez and Malacca. Kicking all the commies out of our hemisphere is also a step in the right direction.
But Trump can’t straighten out this Hormuz thing, not soon and not for sure. It turns out the Gulf States still fear Iran and they don’t want to contribute to security guarantees that would put them in charge of Iran’s bugfuck crazy Shi’a majority. It turns out IRGC is braced for a long season of asymmetric warfare in the hills overlooking the Strait, with any number of little fortified bolt-holes from where they can harass shipping with drones. The Mullah survived and I bet he thinks he’s The Chosen One. To put him out of his misery, someone’s probably going to have to walk up and shoot him. Well, our military policy right now is we don’t walk in Iran.
You and I don’t know how long the Iranian regime can take the bleeding. There are rumors of weapons deliveries to Iranian insurgents, Israeli intelligence running things on the ground. The whole situation could just suddenly crack. We could get regime change. But even then the Shiites are there. Victory isn’t when the Shiites stop fighting – they won’t. Victory is when the Shiites fight the Taliban instead of us.
Donald Trump has a way of doing things by surprise, and some tactical nukes against Iran’s Hormuz infrastructure would sure be a surprise.
You can rule out the use of nukes, never happen.
The IRGC is toothless. The problem in the straight is the insurance coming out of London. Basically, no ships other than the Iranian navy have been sunk. We can quite easily destroy every small boat the iranians send out. That may be why your not seeing very many. Those manning them know it is a one way death ticket as soon as the Great Satan decides to do it.
Soon enough, the world will be awash in oil and the price will be the lowest in my life, and I was around for the 17cent / gallon gas wars.
“If Trump can straighten out this Hormuz thing, then our maritime empire will reign supreme with control over Panama, Suez and Malacca. Kicking all the commies out of our hemisphere is also a step in the right direction.”
Absolutely, and the Trump administration understands that only one country has the ability to do precisely that.
Dead on, Barry. My great concern is the way Trump has shifted to trying to reach some kind of deal with the Mullahs, instead of just killing the rotten bastards outright. Eliminating the Mullahs is the only thing that will do the trick here, and Trump seems to have lost sight of that simple fact in favor of deal-chasing.
That’s a HUGE mistake, IMO–a cringeworthy notion that is sure to come back and bite us all on the ass if Trump stick to fantasies instead of his/our guns. Thanks to him, our military has done an excellent job so far, but it remains incomplete. Trump needs to relocate his balls and finish it, and stop the fiddle-farting around trying to bring proven-untrustworthy Pisslamic insaniacs to the bargaining table.
Who is he making the deal with?
It is my opinion that very few people see the big picture, they are focused only on Iran.
There is more, much more, at stake than Iran. It is an opening to change the entire middle eastern order, to eliminate the terror production, in short, to make the Middle East a productive zone that is good for the west rather than a drag.
Then there is the less obvious international ramifications that occur when you stop Iranian terror and military production and create the opportunity to revise the middle east – China sinks into 2nd tier status where it belongs.
Trump understands, Rubio understands, Bessent understands, Hegseth understands, the administration is focused on the international situation in a large and fundamental changing way.
Winning on this stage is good for America, and what is good for America is good for freedom and liberty here and abroad. Freedom and liberty abroad will bring prosperity to people that have never had it, and that is the fundamental shift in the world order that Trump seeks.
Start looking through those goggles and everything makes sense.
