Remember “never to forget, never to forgive”? Nah, me neither.

The jumpers started at 8:46.

Networks had the tape. They hid Americans choosing the air over the fire.

Then they spent 25 years treating the word Islam like a crime. The footage was “too graphic.” The truth was forbidden.

I have several friends who were close by the WTC that black morning, and they said the sickening “thump” the bodies of the jumpers made when they hit the pavement, over and over and over again, like some kind of hellish rain, was something they will never really get over. I do not doubt them, nor should you.

One of the people that was killed that day was a broker I knew and his family lived in the same town. His parents were very well known. I looked them up. Mom turned 100 recently and his Dad passed away not too long ago. His 3 kids would all be adults now.

The block where my family lives has a Memorial to a fireman who lived there.
The block where I grew up on also has a Memorial for a fireman who lived there.

I am saddened each year. This year with that smarmy Mamdani at the scene is going to be wretch worthy.
