That would, of course, be Elon Musk.

A SpaceX intern once described eating lunch next to Elon Musk in the company cafeteria.

The intern said Elon sat down at a regular table with a regular tray of food. No entourage. No reserved section. He sat next to two junior engineers who were clearly terrified. One of them was explaining a problem with a valve component to the other.

Elon listened without introducing himself or interrupting. After about three minutes he turned to the engineer and said “have you tried running it at a lower pressure gradient first.” The engineer stared at him. Then realized the CEO of the company had just casually solved a problem his team had been stuck on for a week.

The intern said what happened next was the part that surprised him. Elon didn’t leave. Didn’t check his phone. He spent the next twenty minutes asking the engineers questions about their work. Not CEO questions about timelines and budgets. Engineering questions about fluid dynamics and material stress tolerances. He was genuinely curious. The cafeteria conversation was indistinguishable from a technical review.

The intern said he understood in that moment why people work 80-hour weeks for this man. Not because he’s inspiring. Not because he pays well. Because he’s the only CEO in the world who sits in the cafeteria and solves your engineering problem between bites of a burrito.

People follow leaders who are above them. People worship leaders who sit next to them and prove they understand the work better than the people doing it.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: muchos kudos to the esteemed Mr Musk, for all he is and all he does. We’re fortunate indeed to have him.

Search for “traitor” on X this week, and one man will flood your timeline: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

The reason? Shocking images of thousands of migrants from Morocco crossing the border and flooding into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. The head of the association that represents Spain’s Civil Guard officers in Ceuta told the Associated Press that the border had “totally collapsed.” After watching video footage of migrants breaking through fences to get into the city, one would be justified in using the word “invasion” to describe what’s happening. Indeed, Santiago Abascal, the leader of the rising populist/conservative Vox party, called it just that and wrote that “Pedro Sánchez is its main promoter and guilty of all its consequences.”

Their gratitude to the Socialist prime minister is due to his mass amnesty plan, which received 1.2 million applications by its June 30, 2026, deadline. As I wrote in So, How’s Spain’s Mass Amnesty Working Out?, “Sánchez, of course, looks at every new immigrant as a potential future voter who won’t care about the mind-boggling corruption within his Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE). As increasing numbers of Spaniards take to the streets to demand the prime minister’s resignation, Muslim migrants are among his most loyal supporters.”

Elon Musk dubbed Sánchez something else: a traitor. After the prime minister defended his amnesty plan in April, Musk wrote on X, “Dirty Sánchez is guilty of high treason.” Sánchez responded cheekily at the time, “Mars can wait. Humanity can’t.”

For certain subspecies of mouth breathing Left-wing fucktards, yeah, that’s clever enough, I suppose.
