All Black, All the Time

In honor of We Wuz Kangs n Sheeit Month in the US and the obligatory full-time applause, here’s a Black, Blacker, Blackest news roundup.

Women of color most affected if abortion is banned

I’m pretty sure it’s the babies of color who will be most affected.

But setting that aside, this sounds a lot like “Rising seas will destroy all cities; people of color most affected” or “World ends; women and children most affected”. Take responsibility for your life and be prepared for setbacks and downturns.

Judith Browne Dianis, a racial justice expert, says it is important to have a someone who has the lived experience of being a Black woman make decisions on the nation’s highest court.

What’s a “racial justice expert” other than someone with a big mouth demanding “gib me muh gibs”?

And what’s this “lived experience” thing, a way to sidestep the modern nonsense of “you are whatever you claim to be”?

But there’s bad news for the campaign to put a black woman on the Supreme Court: 76% of Americans are racist haters and probably in the KKK or something.

So, about that “lived experience of being a black woman” thing, what part of that gets distilled down into the wisdom of a young black woman, successful and a former MissUSA, committing suicide? She’d complained about having to trade her time and work for money. She’d complained about the nature of the legal profession. She’d complained about people calling her too old for the beauty contest which she won. And then she killed herself. This had the benefit of putting a stop to her complaints but does not give a clear path to “we need a black woman on the Supreme Court”. (Sorry, no link for an article listing her complaints. I saw a video of someone reading and mocking the litany but couldn’t find it myself.)

That’ll do for now. I need to get back to work. I have people to support.

  1. ” I have people to support.

I once told a black neighborhood friend that if we put the current crop of black politicians in charge, we would all starve, but blacks would starve first. He (a very wealthy businessman) laughed and said he told his black friends that the welfare club had better hope white people never stopped paying taxes.

I have also told some black friends they better give thanks to their forebears and the slave traders that brought them here. Getting eaten by a lion is never much fun. Their ancestors were mistreated, but they were the beneficiaries. Proof? No one ever goes back.

    1. That downvote came from a hurty words person, I’ll betcha. A you-can’t-say-that person.

      1. I’m really hurt. Those downvotes are so painful.

I think we can safely say, at this point in time, there are 2 people that don’t like the truth.

Most people have never been to a place where non-white people live outside of the western world. 99.999999999999% of those non-white people wish their ancestors had been enslaved and shipped off to America.

How do I know that? Because they have told me so.

Who can blame them? Most places in the world are miserable compared to the richness of the west.

However, in spite of the poverty, where there is a modicum of freedom, the people are friendly and genuinely happy. Bangladesh for example. Muslim majority but a government that has resisted the call to to be a muslim government. Not much in the way of wealth for all but a tiny minority, but they are really nice and happy people.

        1. The Chinese people in Hong Kong were happier under the British and didn’t know it.

Now they know it. For the most part. Some assholes welcome the ChiCom Rule because they benefit from being turncoats. Like the current Beijing Puppet CEO of Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, good people are looking for ways out. I personally know of one young person who just took for England this winter. Went with a friend. There are plenty more stories like that.

Their easiest way out is to go to former Brit Colonies of the Commonwealth or, if they have British Overseas Passports, they can go to the UK itself. Others will head to Korea.

    1. Kenny, I approved that comment, but was it truly necessary to have different links on seven of the lines? Maybe you could have found a less sucktastic source of the lyrics than the catastrophically-misnamed genius-dot-com?

      1. You know I have special powers. That comment was visible, stating it was awaiting moderation (or something to that effect).

        Thought it rather odd…

      2. I simply copied and pasted lyrics from another site. I had no idea there were any links.

Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.
