Mike @Substack

New Eyrie posts go up every Monday and Friday, although the time of day may (and most likely will) vary. Mike’s latest Eyrie offering is available for perusal here: “Booty bumping.” Links to archived Golden Oldies are findable down at the bottom of each post.
Please do consider subscribing to The Eyrie, gang; it’s free, unless you’re feeling big-hearted enough to pony up for a paid sub. Either way, paying customer or freeloading looky-loo, an Eyrie subscription is a bargain at any price, a move you won’t ever regret making.
All subscribers receive email notification whenever each new post goes live, although CF management promises not to blow up your inbox with a bunch of junk mail. Latest Eyrie offering is getatable (yes, that’s really a word—trust me!) for one and all to read and enjoy totally free of charge, regardless of subscriber status. However, a paid sub is required to unlock commenting privileges—an almighty incentive to kick loose and chip in if ever there was one. Thanks, everybody!

So as far as I can fathom, the rise in regular gas at the pump was somehow related to diesel shortages and not oil supply from The Straits of Hormuz.
Oil per barrel WTI has been down for 2-3 weeks and bouncing around 89-92 per barrel. So that didn’t explain why pump prices suddenly shot up. But then Trump does his diesel deal and now pump prices are down from 4.09-4.19 to 3.65/gallon. Plunged overnight.
I’m not a commodities market expert but my guess would be that the diesel shortages from Ukraine bombing Russian production was causing people to crack oil into diesel instead of regular. This couldn’t help enough to get diesel down but it did result in a shortage of regular.
I have not been checking the diesel to regular gas spread but I know it soared a month ago. So, does anyone have pump prices vs diesel prices spreads for the past month to today/yesterday in NC?
Diesel prices have increased 35.5% Vs 12.8% for gasoline over the last 3 months (nationally). IMO, it is all artificial, engineered to try and STOP Trump.

Thus, as I have stated repeatedly, by the end of the year or 1st quarter of next, we will see the lowest prices in history for fuel. Why? Because Trump is engineering a complete reset in the world energy market in favor of America. Combine that with the artificial inflation we have now and when the dam breaks we will see a historic drop in prices.
The Iran conflict (it is hardly a “war”) is just the convenient way the left blames Trump. If there were no conflict in Iran they would blame him for not stopping Iran…
