Mike, I’m wondering why you haven’t posted anything on the Trump admin going after illegal commercial truck drivers and the driving schools that enable them.

Strangely enough, Henry, I find I just don’t have a whole lot to say about it. Like all too much else these days, the phenomenon isn’t something that just happened; quite the contrary, it has been done to us, intentionally, by people who have names, addresses, and personal directory listings all over the place which make them very easy indeed to find. The fact that we continue to lie back and do nothing about it like pathetic sheep is damning indeed, and bodes ill for ever seeing an end to this stupid, suicidal shit.
Understood. But the Trump admin (Ron DeSantis too) starting to address the problem has to bring some satisfaction.
I watch markets tangentially each day. Always was intense when I worked in them. Now it’s still habit and keeping an eye out on my and my family’s modest investments.
I have been perplexed by the recent spikes in interest rates and oil prices. Sure, the economy seems to be humming along, but despite the protestations of the lamenting women of the Business “News”, that’s been something that has continued for some months now. Nothing has changed to suggest the economy suddenly roared higher in the past 2 weeks.
Likewise, the whole Tempest in a Teacup over the Straits of Hormuz being “closed” seems to have settled down. The Iranians obviously have no consistent and effective means to stop the passage of ships. Early on they may have damaged some ships, but they’ve never sunk one and even their half hearted farts in that general direction fall flat now.
So I’ve been thinking. The ChiComs are certainly hurting from all this blockading and sturm und drang.
What if the ChiComs were selling their Treasuries and Buying Oil, both in reasonably large quantities.
I have to explore further.
Not a bad supposition. We can be certain the chinese are doing everything they can to STOP TRUMP.
If so, then they are probably working with the other group(s) trying to stop Trump, like the London finance and insurance industry…
