Welcome to this week’s installment of our Wednesday meme feature, folks. Links to the “found via” sources will be attached to the specific MiQ’s (Memes in Question) whenever I can remember them, which likely won’t be very often. Only the first two memes will appear above the fold to save on bandwidth usage, since I assume not everybody who shows up at this here websty will want to see all of them. This intro will appear at the top of each week’s Memezapoppin’! post. Enjoy, funny-pitcher lovers.

True, but the stripes may keep city folk from shooting your cow at the start of hunting season.
The farmer (rancher, but he called himself a farmer) next to the rancher I worked for as teen painted COW and HORSE on his livestock in blaze orange before the start of hunting season. It cut down his losses enough to be worth it.
I recall, years ago (like 50), some farmer that butted up to a hunting area painting his cows with orange paint during deer season.
Edit 🙂 removed an errant ,
My mom was working the radio at the sheriff’s department some years ago when a park ranger came in with a tale. He’d been just driving or walking around in the woods when a hunter waved for attention. The hunter said he’d shot a deer and now needed help getting it to his car. “Huh? Just gut it and carry it on your shoulder. Drag it if you have to.” “No way, it’s too heavy. Gotta weigh a thousand pounds.” The ranger figured uh-oh, this guy must have shot a moose. He’s in big trouble. They walked to the hunter’s deer or moose or whatever and the ranger saw that it was indeed too big to carry. It was one of those big black-and-white deer, with short horns and an ear tag.
EDIT: Forgot to mention: The hunter was from downstate. Of course.
LOL, I believe it.
