Didn’t forget about it this time, folks, honestly I didn’t. It was just that, what with fooling with plugins, investigating slow load times, and struggling to fulfill my core blog-writing duties around this h’yar hogwallow, there really wasn’t time for it. So in the midst of all that angst, I thought holding off on the meme post for this week until tonight might just be the thing to do. So with that said, awaaaay we go!

NOTICE from the CF Caveat/Explainer/WTF/Mea Maxima Culpa Desk.
RE the “not in the shit business” meme: Yes, I DID create that one myself, a thing I hardly ever do
RE the “can o’ bacon grease” meme directly following it: the other thing I was raised to use that grease for is to fry chicken; if you’ve never done that, then you’ve never truly lived
RE the “bra size” meme: I never really cared all that much for DD+ titties until my late wife Christiana; up ’til then, I’d always been a diehard Champagne Glass kind of a guy. Now, though? In the words (?) of the great Jimmy Durante: hot-chachachacha!!

RE the “can o’ bacon grease” meme
Having grown up with chicken schmaltz, I think it’s quite reasonable for me to start drooling every time I smell bacon on the griddle – -from fifteen miles away.
I’m battling yuge slowdown issues as well, and I’m not getting much help from the gang at Hosting Matters. I’m thinking it might be an affliction for all of us OG bloggers, with our clunky WP sites trying to cope with tens, or hundreds of thousands of posts and comments piled up over plus two decades.
The only two more useful items in our modern world than bacon grease are duct tape and coffee. I’ve used bacon grease in just about every conceivable recipe, including cheesecakes and ice cream. It’s also useful in some car repairs, fixes, if somewhat fragrantly, sliding doors that stick. and the combination of bacon grease and coffee is supposed to be some sort of miracle elixir.
You left out lead 🙂
And WD-40.
Miss the can of bacon grease. I don’t cook enough bacon to support it, so that can has other crud in it. That said, when I cook bacon, I do it in the oven on a sheet. The bacon gets crispy evenly, and the oil doesn’t burn. So that gets saved in a glass jar.
I have a daughter that is uber health conscious. She insisted I make turkey burgers along with the burgers and dogs for a cookout one weekend. So, I ground up bacon, and added a tablespoon of bacon grease to the ground turkey.
My daughter said they were awesome. And they were. Heh heh…she’d have been better off with the beef, TBH. But they were tasty. Bacon, grease, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Good stuff.
