Welcome to this week’s installment of our Wednesday meme feature, folks. Links to the “found via” sources will be attached to the specific MiQ’s (Memes in Question) whenever I can remember them, which likely won’t be very often. Only the first two memes will appear above the fold to save on bandwidth usage, since I assume not everybody who shows up at this here websty will want to see all of them. This intro will appear at the top of each week’s Memezapoppin’! post. Enjoy, funny-pitcher lovers.

Update 4 teh Crackpot Right! In that last meme above, Sowell was talking about Left/liberals, NOT (((***DemJooJooJooJOOOOOZ!!***)))

re (((***DemJooJooJooJOOOOOZ!!***))), Simon Webb, a British historian and writer, did an analysis of penetration of social institutions by … Quakers. He used the same talking points and selected numbers as are usually used against (((***DemJooJooJooJOOOOOZ!!***))) and showed that Quakers have outsized impact.
I haven’t looked into it myself but I wonder if the same trend could be shown with almost any selected group. And I further wonder if this is somehow related to Simpson’s Paradox, an issue in statistics in which every subgroup can show a trend which is the opposite of the overall trend.
Heh. Simpson’s Paradox, love that one. You’re referring, I trust, to the classic “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” line, right? 😀
Er, I’ve never heard it put that way.

I will admit that I have never watched a single minute of Homer Simpson.
