Distinction without a difference

April 16th, 2008

I’ll say it again: Black Racist Jesus IS the mainstream. The Right Execrable Reverend Wright IS the mainstream. The Kossacs ARE the mainstream. Code Pinko IS the mainstream. Further evidence, for those who can’t or won’t believe it:

Superdelegates from states voting next in the Democratic primary say that Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) controversial comments on guns and religion will not cause much damage to his political standing despite an intensifying assault from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Republicans.

“I don’t sense a lot of frustration,” said Rep. Baron Hill, an uncommitted Democrat who represents a rural district in Indiana, which will hold its primary on May 6.

“People say, ‘What’s the big deal? Where’s the beef?’ ” said Hill, who added that the strongest reaction has come from members of the press. “Rank-and-file people aren’t that hyped up about it.”

No, liberals aren’t “hyped up about it” — because by and large, they agree with it. They’ll deny that, when it’s politically necessary for them to do so, but it’s the plain and simple truth. And anybody who’s been paying attention for the past three and a half decades knows it.

(Rep Tim Holden – D, naturally) said he disagreed with Obama’s assertion that people living in rural areas turn to guns and religion because of bitterness. At the same time, however, he said that there has been little reaction in his district.

He said he checked with his district offices and heard about no complaints from constituents.

“I could be dead wrong, but I’m not hearing very much about it,” he said.

No, and you won’t — because liberals agree with it, and conservatives have pretty much given up on trying to reason with people who don’t share their reverence for this country, and never will. They know the Democrat Party, fully committed as it is to transmogrifying the US into an aconstitutional socialist mess along EU lines, is a lost cause. There’s no hope whatsoever of retrieving them from the leftist cesspool they’re happily breaststroking in, and there’s no real point in talking to them anymore, when they’ve fully internalized every last dishonest meme the DNC’s LLMSM attack-poodles have thrown out there, from “sixteen words” to the “illegal Iraq war” to “Bush was AWOL” to “Saddam never attacked us” to…you name it.

John Hawkins has chapter and verse on Obama, Wright, and others, but it’s not as if we haven’t heard all this stuff before, from a whole lot of places. No, strike that, from one place and one place only: the Left. We’re all dining out on the Blue State Special here, and the Dems themselves are just the supposedly-more-palatable sauce dressing up a very unappetizing dish. Obama could come right out and say, “fuck this fucked-up country, and every unsophisticated knuckledragging gunhappy racist xenophobic sexist fascist undereducated cousin-humping backwoods moron in it,” and none of the people who were planning to vote for him anyway would be bothered in the least by it. Because they agree with it.

I’ll go ahead and admit it up front: bad as the Repubs most certainly are, the Dims still manage to find ways to be worse.

Actually, Mike, I would say that the Republicans are as bad as they are because the Democrats can always find a way to be worse. The main cause of Republican corruption is the Democrat's navel-gazing obtuseness. If we had a sane opposition party in this country the Republicans couldn't get away with half of the crap they pull now.
