Harvard scientist faked honesty studies
Harvard University business administration professor Francesca Gino has been placed on leave after a science blog accused her of faking study results, the New York Times reported on Saturday.
Faked results are so commonplace that they’re not even worth mentioning anymore. So why did I mention it?
The author of several best-selling books on topics including dishonesty and unethical behavior, Gino’s most recent work is ironically titled ‘Rebel Talent: Why It Pays to Break the Rules in Work and Life’.
They don’t seem to be too concerned about even hiding it any more.
She’ll probably land a nice paying job somewhere else.
I’d hazard a guess that greater than 50% of any “study” conducted by a Harvard “professor” (or any other Ivy) is based on fake data.
Harvard hired them. Harvard approves*, just doesn’t like being caught. Harvard has not been a Harvard since starting in the the 60’s.
Among many other things, Harvard hired an undistinguished “professor” because she claimed to be a “native” American, an easy to disprove (Thanks Trump) claim.
“Sincerity is the ultimate asset. Once you can fake that, you’ve got it made!” — seen on a lapel pin.
It was on a family friends BBQ restaurant sign 50 years ago.
It’s been attributed to a number of wits going back at least to Groucho Marx and to any number of famous politicians (most of whom are half-wits).
