Some Dissident Rightists loudly denounce Tucker Carlson as a fake phony fraud, as an inexcusably mild-mannered weak-sister, as insufficiently radical, as whatever the hell else. Myself, I love the guy.
Tucker Carlson Says People Who Wear Masks Outside Should be Mocked
Leftists reacted with fury after Fox News host Tucker Carlson said people who wear masks outside should be mocked and that parents who made their kids wear them were engaging in “child abuse.”Carlson noted that masks were “purely a sign of political obedience like Kim Il-Sung pins in Pyongyang” and that the only people who voluntarily wear masks outside are “zealots and neurotics.”
He then asserted that the tables should be turned on Biden voters who have been harassing conservatives for almost a year for not wearing a mask in public.
“The rest of us should be snorting at them first, they’re the aggressors – it’s our job to brush them back and restore the society we were born in,” said Carlson.
“So the next time you see someone in a mask on the sidewalk or on the bike path, do not hesitate. Ask politely but firmly, ‘Would you please take off your mask? Science shows there is no reason for you to be wearing it. Your mask is making me uncomfortable,” he added.
“We should do that and we should keep doing it until wearing a mask outside is roughly as socially accepted as lighting a Marlboro on an elevator.”
Actually, I’m good with lighting up on elevators too. But then, I grew up back in the Olden Thymes, that halcyon era before the Überstate’s Behavior-Modification Mommy Squad sprang into action to prevent We The Sheeple from making any personal choices the government deemed unwise. Y’know, exactly as specified in the Constitution.
Most people smoked back in those golden days of yore, and they did so in one heck of a lot more places than just elevators. Those who preferred not to be around tobacco smoke had segregated areas all their own to hang around in. Nobody presumed they had any right to get all up in somebody else’s grill; everybody minded their own business, content to live and let live, and somehow it all seemed to work just dandy for everybody.
Come to think of it, people were allowed to do all kinds of things in those days, at their own discretion and according to personal taste. Hard to even imagine such an outlandish thing now, I know. But it’s true—I was there, I saw it. I miss those days a lot. Probably just me, or so it’s beginning to seem.
The Fox News host went on to call mask wearing “repulsive” while asserting that forcing children to wear masks outside should be illegal.
“Your response when you see children wearing masks as they play should be no different from your response to seeing someone beat a kid in Walmart. Call the police immediately. Contact Child Protective Services. Keep calling until someone arrives,” Carlson said.
“What you’re looking at is abuse, it’s child abuse, and you are morally obligated to attempt to prevent it,” he added.
As expected, Carlson immediately began trending on Twitter, with hysterical leftists hyperventilating over Tucker once again challenging their cult. Many called for the Fox News host to be fired while others ludicrously described him as a “national security threat.”
Thereby proving that his point is valid, his cause is just, and that his idea should be implemented by saner sorts right away. It brings to mind one of the most important of Mike’s Iron Laws: Anything that rankles the Left can only be good for America.
Via Renegade Wes, who adds:
Nothing makes me sadder than seeing kids playing sports with a mask on. Where are the parents? Stand up! Fight this, or take your kids out of the sport. The school can’t have sports without the kids to play.
When the pandemic hit, I coached tee-ball during the height of the hysteria. No mask, no social distancing, kid’s high fiving and shaking hands. Kids were kids. Now I am coaching coach-pitch baseball and the same, no mask, no social distancing, high fiving and shaking hands. It’s how it should be.
People quit living in fear and fight for your children! Stand up and say enough!
Amen to that, with big ol’ bells on. The real shudder-inducer comes when you think of an entire generation of kids being brought up cowering under the Mask of Submission, and what their overall attitude towards liberty and their Constitutional heritage is likely to be when they come of age.
Elsewhere, GFZ makes another salient point.
A meta-analysis of the data is crystal clear. There is a strong correlation between mental illness and fervent mask-wearing.
White liberals, especially white liberal women have the highest rates of mental illness, they wallow in panic porn and misery, engage in guilt-driven activism, and are strict adherents to mask mandates.
Rather than the rest of us dismissing these histrionic, neurotic people with emotional problems as nutjobs and not listen to them, they have been elevated to the paragons of behavior to emulate, i.e., wearing a piece of bedsheet over our faces in the fresh air and sunshine to ward off a virus with a 99.97% survivability rate for most people, even after vaccination, like it’s a magical talisman.
Quite literally, the insane are the ones who are setting the norms for society.
The inmates are running the asylum.
If everyday feels like your are living in an episode of the Twilight Zone, this is why.
Yup. You don’t wanna be a lunatic, do ya? Take off the Mask of Submission, reclaim your freedom, and preserve your sanity.
I’ve not watched fox or Carlson since Tucker caved on the stolen election news.
So Carlson’s viewpoint is mask wearing is bad, but stealing an election so you can force us to wear masks is OK.
And don’t forget, Leftist rioting is bad, but patriots protesting the stolen election in DC is just as bad or worse.
Yeah, I’m a little bitter. I lost what little remaining respect I had for a LOT of pundits “on our side” immediately after January 6, 2021, Carlson included.
Anyone close to the fever swamp of DC is going to have issues, with very few exceptions. It’s interesting to see how much Carlson has changed, though, compared to the old version. Still, taking leadership from DC types is a mistake, these days you pretty much have to have your own moral principles and stick by them, and not depend on leaders. That makes decisions and judgments a lot easier, you can make them on your own and not depend on someone else to do your thinking for you – or wait for them to do so.
