Hoodwinked, bamboozled

I’m just about ready to call it a Deep State victory and wash my hands of the whole thing at this point.

The Trump administration has no plans to charge former IRS official Lois Lerner over her role in the Tea Party targeting scandal, the Justice Department said Friday in response to calls by Republican lawmakers to revisit the case.

In a letter to the lawmakers, the Justice Department said that “reopening the criminal investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence.”

No harm, no foul, no action from the guy we sent there to fix this. It’s time to start thinking about what we’re gonna do next…if anything. Personally, I doubt there’ll be any response other than further online grumbling. There ain’t gonna be any revolution, there ain’t gonna be any meaningful reform, and there ain’t gonna be any civil war, either. Hillary isn’t going to prison; how can anyone still think Trump was serious about that, if the woman who weaponized the IRS as a means to steal an election is to face no repercussions more serious than early retirement with a full pension?

Americans are pussies, all hat and no cattle; the idea of them rising up to put a stop to their own oppression when it might interfere with Monday Night Football at the local microbrewery is ludicrous. As Ace says:

It’s almost as if we changed presidents but the actual government remained completely intact.

I don’t know if this is Trump’s call or Sessions’ call or if it was made by subordinates and there’s some doctrine of non-interference from political appointees that prevents them from doing anything about it — but I’m getting very tired of the One Party Government.

Not even a special counsel to look into this independently? Nothing?

Was it all a lie? And if it was all a lie — then what else can I trust?

Well, you can sure trust this: your vote means nothing. Your freedoms are nonexistent, and your Constitution is a joke. You will do as your government tells you; you will take what it gives you and like it, and bleat for more when told it’s appropriate and allowed. And that is absolutely ALL you will do.

In sum, you are now—officially, irrevocably, and in every way that counts—EUropeans. You may complain about the taste, but you will assuredly eat the shit sandwich, to the very last bite.

Back in the late 60’s, my family MD wrote and self-published a book. Its title: Farewell, America. The man was prescient. In fact, I think I still have a signed copy of it someplace, the one he gave my father. But in any event, the writing was on the wall even then, for those with eyes to see and the heart to face up to it.

  1. Hillary isn’t going to prison; how can anyone still think Trump was serious about that, if the woman who weaponized the IRS as a means to steal an election is to face no repercussions more serious than early retirement with a full pension?

I’m baffled how anyone ever thought he was serious about that.

“Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman. I am biased because I have known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard. And I think, again, she’s given an agenda, it is not all of her, but I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her.

Although to be fair, that assessment was made ages and ages ago back in the mists of antiquity; it’s so unreasonable hold him accountable to anything he might have said all the way back in 2012. When he was a naive, doe-eyed boy of 66 with no real understanding of how the world really works. The dude has been on all sides of every issue, and we knew it going in. Character and principles matter, and he has little of either.

I’m happy to give him credit where it’s due. But I’ll be damned before I look the other way when serves up a shit sandwich & tells me it’s peanut butter.

  2. As it is turning out, even the “outsider” is just a part of the established order. The difference between theft by fraud and theft by extortion is minimal when politicians are involved.

For “the forgotten man?” It’s becoming more obvious every day that the “forgotten man” will never be remembered. No uprising, no revolution, only a game of three-card monte to see which one of the privileged rules.

I cry for the country I once knew and believed in, and for the lives of oppression my children and grandchildren will have to endure.

  3. Unfortunately, there are still foolish Muricans that believe in the electoral process. They will continue to squawk that “It could be worse. It could be Hillary. We have to vote for Trump in 2020 to keep the Democrats out of the White House!” There will also continue to be the Trump groupies that will tell us that he is playing 4D chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Gee, I guess that’s why he continues to lose. When your opponent is playing football and you are playing baseball, you’re going to get run over. “Trust Trump! He has a plan!’ So did Hitler. How did that work out for Germany? I was willing to give Trump a chance at first, but I think he’s already selling out his base. No Wall. No ability to stop immigration. DACA will continue since Muricans hate to be “cruel”, except, of course, to productive Muricans. No indictments against anyone that has wiped their ass with the Constitution and the law. No control over his own fiefdom, the White House. Sandbagged by the party he is supposedly the head of. Positioning for a war, somewhere, anywhere. What victories has he had? Gorsuch? What till he shows us why you never trust a judge or a lawyer. No, Trump has Executive power but won’t use it. He shows us the only way for us to redeem this country is something Muricans don’t have the balls to do. I guess our only option now is to go lone wolf or retreat to some isolated area and hope we survive the apocalypse. Bah!

  4. Thanks to the Koch-sucking Rove Republican swill in the Senate, President Trump is STILL stuck with a shitload of chimp maggots from the previous Faggot in Chief. And good ol’ Post Turtle made damn sure he couldn’t do any recess appointments during Congress’ summer break by scheduling nine “pro-forma” sessions:

    http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/345261-senate-blocks-trump-from-making-recess-appointments-over-break

God damn them to hell. God damn every filthy bastard pig who enables them. And God damn their pig whores.

  5. And the previous comments prove the
    incontestable correctness of this post.
The disconnected idiocy and tears of the
    pussy whipped are overwhelming.

  6. Now you see why I wanted the shit-show Trump to be elected. The curtain is clearly withdrawn, if you can’t see how things are really run you ain’t looking.

  7. to old and crippled to care any more. let it burn and I will play the proverbial fiddle.

  8. Given the way Obama broke the rule of law, why are you surprised?

One of the problems from the Obama years is that so much had to be done through civil lawsuit discovery (because criminal charges wouldn’t be brought). In fact, many of the actions were deliberately classed as not criminal by Holder and Lynch.

What this means is that bringing criminal charges will require rebutting the claim by defendants that “the only reason I answered questions in the civil actions was because the government said it wasn’t criminal; if they hadn’t approved [action] I would have taken the Fifth. That means that my testimony and any evidence found because of it must be excluded.” And all of that takes more time. It also means that there may not be enough “unimmunized” evidence left. If there’s anything Democrats are competent at, perjury, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering are at the top of the list.

Meanwhile, the DOJ can’t officially comment, and certainly no leakers are leaking anything that makes Sessions and Trump look any better; if they did, the MSM (including Fox, now) wouldn’t publish it.

What we have is the classic Batman scenario: the criminal justice system is hopelessly compromised, so if you want justice, you have to supply your own.

  9. I supported Donald Trump. I volunteered for him. I opened my home for a house tour so that the tickets sold would go toward supporting our GOP nominee, etc. I’ve made comment after comment [@ GWP, and at a few other sites], from the day of President Trump’s inauguration saying “Be patient.” “The man just took over, and hasn’t even gotten his appointments confirmed.” “President Trump has got this, he’s just got to make sure the ‘i’s’ are dotted and the ‘t’s’ are crossed.” “Remember, he was quite clear, while campaigning, that we – as a Nation – would no longer be giving advance notice or warning of what was going to take place…” And, blah blah blah. Yet, every single f’ng day, there is something that happens that goes completely against the promises he made to us! Every single day!! I don’t know. I really, really want to believe that we will see some justice – so many crimes have been committed by handfuls of our “oh so esteemed elected officials” and so many others in our government offices – all of it right smack dab in front of us – and what?!? NOTHING!! Not a single person has yet to actually be held accountable for a single act!!

So what now? I’m a 57-year-old woman [if anyone asks, though, I say I’m 29!], who had surgery to correct a problem with my left hand almost two years ago, which was completely, totally botched [yes, working on a lawsuit, but REAL med-mal suits are not something that get resolved overnight] – thus, am now basically one-handed. Thank you, God, for making it be my non-dominant hand that is useless! [I mean that, very seriously. At least I am still able to use my right hand – and if I do say so, myself, I’m pretty dayum good at hitting the targets where I want the hole to be at the range!] If there isn’t going to be any civil war, and if we are just going to continue eating that sh!t sandwich – licking our lips afterwards and saying “thank you may I have another” – what do we do?!? I cry for our Nation and what will be left for my two little grandsons. They’ve got two strikes against them – having been born! Nope, three. White. Male. Christian.

I’m exasperated. I don’t have the answers. But I am so sick and f’ng tired of paying YUGE amounts of money – taxes [we are either lucky enough, or unlucky enough, depending on how you look at it, that we’re in the very top tax bracket!! Oh, yay, us!!] – and getting NOTHING in return! I know I won’t be the one to start it, but “if” something happens and “it” gets started, I will be right there with support in more ways than one… I promise not to whine or complain about my hand, too much… Look up “RSD.” [Again – oh so lucky. Not!] And, I promise to do what I can and do my best. All I know is that WE have to do something. Like I said, I don’t have the answers, but I am very open to any suggestions! Oh well… Sigh… Heavy sigh…

  10. The simple fact is that just about everyone has, since 1865, lived lives of unquestioning servitude to the State. Sure, there have been the odd outlaws here and there, but they are so much the exception to the rule that they don’t even amount to a rounding error. Cowardice has been made a virtue: but we have jobs and families and responsibilities! Yeah, so did the Founding Fathers; guess they were just lousy parents and employees, irresponsibly fucking off to fight a revolution like that.

At the end of the day, servitude with consumer goods is pretty darned acceptable to just about everyone. It’s easy, it’s uncomplicated, and it works as a system. Call it the Huxley phase of tyranny. As more and more people become excess labor, we’re going to switch to the Orwell phase, and folks won’t like that one near as much. Nearly all will still line up for the cattle cars, though.

  11. @Anonymous White Male

“Trust Trump! He has a plan!’ So did Hitler. How did that work out for Germany?

Hitler was in power for 12 years. For 10 of those 12, it worked out very well for Germany. It was only the last two that went pear-shaped, but then again, it was only the final three hours of the Titanic’s voyage that were at all problematic – the vast majority of it went quite smoothly.

  12. BOMBSHELL: They’re slipping Mickeys into the president’s Diet Cokes and iced teas! Alex Jones is risking his life by unveiling this dastardly attempt to turn our beloved POTUS into a junkie.

Aren’t you glad the Trump White House issued press credentials to Infowars? I know I am. Free at last from fake news! Thanks Alex!

  13. “There ain’t gonna be any revolution, there ain’t gonna be any meaningful reform, and there ain’t gonna be any civil war, either.”

If it’s true that the Deep State has won and that our votes are meaningless, then there will be civil war. It’s simply a question of when, not if.
