This means war

Well, everybody in the know said it was horrifying, and it is.

You’re about to listen to one of the most bone-chilling pieces of audio you will ever hear. At least, it was to me when I first heard it.

It’s a phone call that could have gotten me killed.

In this post you will hear that audio clip. You will also read about a months-long campaign of harassment carried out by at least three individuals: Ron Brynaert, Neal Rauhauser, and Brett Kimberlin — much of it directed at critics of Brett Kimberlin. This harassment includes repeated references to critics’ family members, workplace complaints, publication of personal information such as home addresses and pictures of residences, bogus allegations of criminal activity, whisper campaigns, frivolous legal actions, and frivolous State Bar complaints.

And finally, you will hear a comparison of one of those men’s voices to that of the man who made the call that sent police to my home. And you’ll read a declaration from a forensic audio expert comparing those two voices.

Read all of the incredible, sick-making story–which includes some perfectly typical and disgusting bile spewed by some of the violence-supporting left-wing animals who think things like this are just peachy–and gird your loins. Because it’s going to come down to shooting with these vermin eventually, if we’re to retain any rights at all. Patterico wouldn’t like me saying that, I’m sure; I don’t much like having to say it myself. But it’s a mere acknowledgment of current reality: we are in a cold war with neo-Marxists who are trying to steal our country, have already done enormous and probably permanent damage to it, and will stop at nothing–absolutely nothing–to see to it that our voices are silenced. That war must inevitably go hot, unless we’re willing to surrender to them.

Blogbursts are all well and good, and I’m pleased to participate in this one. But in the long run, it just isn’t going to be enough. These people are the face of fascist evil in modern America. And you know what they say about what’s necessary for evil to triumph. As Patterico concludes:

It is my hope that the support of the blogosphere will not melt away after today. Because the harassment will almost certainly live on.

It’s an important battle to take on. And I want to stress that this should not be a partisan issue. I believe Brett Kimberlin uses lefty politics as a tool — but he doesn’t believe any of it in his heart. He is looking for a buck. I have been heartened to see left-leaning people of all stripes stand up to this guy in the past, from Mark Singer, the author of Citizen K; to Ken Ashford, who refused to give up Aaron Walker’s identity; to the left-leaning lawyer who represented Aaron pro bono.

It is my hope that left-leaning blogs will recognize that this is not a partisan issue. It is a free speech issue.

Remember how I said one of my commenters was outed? And this crew started talking about his parents? And his divorce records? For being a commenter of mine?

What happened to me could literally happen to anyone. It could happen to you.

If you take nothing else from this post, remember that. It could happen to you.

It certainly could. And if the Left has their way, sooner or later, it will. Patterico may be right about Kimberlin’s personal motivation being less ideological and more financial greed, but I have to disagree with his statement that this is not a partisan issue. This sort of thing simply doesn’t happen on the Right; attempts to shut down free speech are entirely a Left phenomenon.

As Patterico says, there have been a handful of left-leaning types who have spoken out against these creeps, and good on ’em for doing so. But in the larger picture, this is a tactic owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Left. And as evidenced by the funding Kimberlin gets from supposedly “mainstream” Progressivist organizations, these people aren’t some obscure fringe group of extremists; the liberal edifice is shot through with this fascist rot, right to its foundations. As commenter Rob says:

But there’s NO WAY these thugs have protection, right? They’re just using the left, not being useful to the left, isn’t that the claim?

Until I see solid evidence that a lefty has faced equal harassment with as much studied disinterest from authorities, I will consider this an official Democrat tactic. There’s no other choice, given the funding and protection they’re getting.

Indeed. Even Colonel Haiku is driven by this up-close glimpse of purest evil to step out of character for a moment:

It is criminal that these cretins are allowed to roam free, to harass good, PRODUCTIVE people, and left to pollute the planet with their malevolent presence.

Yep. But that’s where we are. I’ll leave it to Ingemi to provide the final and perhaps most important thought:

The time has come to choose sides.

A person who supports this kind of action dishonors those who we are remembering this weekend who died to protect our rights.

Sure enough.

Update!Who he is,and where he’s been.” Mostly, the sewer.

  1. Frey’s delusional when he says it’s “not a partisan issue”. Kimberlin may be “using” lefties, but they’re gleefully “using” him, as well. And keep in mind it’s not just Kimberlin — he has a couple of hangers-on, as well, and they’re clearly motivated by the politics, not by the “thrill of the con” or whatever Frey thinks motivates Kimberlin.

And look at how they pick their targets. Yes, they pick targets to “protect” Kimberlin — but beyond that, it’s always about pushing or shielding the far-left. Fer crissake, they went after Patterico initially because of Rep. Weiner!

If it weren’t a partisan issue, you’d be able to point to an equivalent con-man/thug on the right. As far as I know, there isn’t one. There isn’t a right-wing “hacker” gang. There aren’t left-wingers being rousted from their beds by SWAT teams responding to fake calls. The Occutards are spending their time plotting bombs, not checking their mail for them.

  2. Patterico wouldn’t like me saying that, I’m sure; I don’t much like having to say it myself.

To paraphrase a comment I left at Jeff’s place: my family often treat me like I’m some sort of unhinged, paranoid lunatic when I make observations about the Left’s generations-long assault on the foundations of our republic. But even after their arguing with me, and their denials of my evidence, and their downplaying of the seriousness of it all, a significant number of them have purchased firearms and started assembling “natural disaster” readiness kits.

They may disagree with me around the dinner table, the bar, or the campfire, but unconsciously, I think they know what’s going on. Zombies may be “cool,” but nobody drops the better part of a grand putting together a bug-out kit just because it’s cool.

  3. Squid: I get that alot from my family in part because I’m on all the time but mainly because they all live in NoVa.

Spot on about this being a civil war part of what I’ve wrote at TCOTS

“We need to recognize the difference between threats to “civil discourse” and civil war, that distinction changes the rules.”
It’s no longer enough to be better than they are, we have to be better AT IT than they are.

They need to taste their own swords. What’s this clown’s home address? Perhaps some concerned citizens need to direct a SWAT team to his residence? Perhaps Mr. kimberlain needs to be shown that any blade can cut both ways. He can be made to live in terror of his life and well-being just as easily as his targets.

    Food for thought.

  5. “That war must inevitably go hot, unless we’re willing to surrender to them.”

    welcome to the 3%.

has anyone else noticed that the side calling openly and loudly for a shooting civil war..is the side least equipped, experienced, trained, and led to be able to succeed at it?

yet the side best equipped (conservatives have most of the guns) , experienced (we have a fair share of the veterans too), trained (how many of those vets could still be trigger pullers, or teach people to be trigger pullers?), and led (back to the combat vets again)….are the ones MOST likely to be saying..don’t do this..done push us past that line..we don’t want this…

because most of us have been there..the “hot war” as opposed to the “cold war”..or we know people who have. we know it’s a messy dangerous bad thing that you don’t do unless you have no other option. there are no winners, just people who lose less than the other guy.

meanwhile the socialists are indoctrinated with stories of armed revolutions being “glorious” and other such crap…because not one of them has actually ever personally done it. they think once the shooting starts “the people” will rise up and join them. “the people” hate it when “occupy” make them late for work with their little marches..what do you think “the people” will do when these idiots turn their workplace into a burned out shell with a molatov cocktail in the name of socialism?

  6. You seldom, as a matter of tactics, want to give the lawsuit-happy convicted-multiple-bomber-harasser a legally sufficient set of circumstances supporting another, new, lawsuit against you.

So, we can’t be answering those questions here. Nor asking them.

    Really.

In the end actions tend to speak louder than words anyways, or so the saying goes. The man who coined the phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword” never found himself in the cross hair’s of a .270 WSM I’d venture.

Many people won’t let themselves be shoved around anymore.

  8. When is someone gonna get killed from this?

    Soon enough I’m sure.

Strange or at least disturbing that I know of no one else who knows about this. Even with the Blog work this past week.

Perhaps a review of the “lawfare” work done by Montana Militias will help people understand both the extent these tactics can be take, the defenses against same. And ultimately the proper retaliation when unleashed.

I’ll never vote republican, no matter how much violence you threaten to my family, stay the hell away.

  10. Pantrrakc:
“I’ll never vote republican, no matter how much violence you threaten to my family, stay the hell away.”

no one is asking you to. vote for whomever you like. we’re not the ones sending SWAT teams to peoples houses to try to get them killed. that’s not really our style.

it is, however, the style of people on the other side. remember, we’re the ones that keep NOT wanting a civil war. the other side seems to relish the thought of one.

chose your allies carefully. if you’d like to keep your family safe, the side that doesn’t want a shooting war is probably the one you’d like to be on.

  11. @allen wrote “remember, we’re the ones that keep NOT wanting a civil war. the other side seems to relish the thought of one.”

Really? Are you forgetting the 2009/2010 summer town hall meetings when republican/teaparty members were showing up with guns openly displayed?

Keep moving that goal post, kiddos.

  12. Oh of course they are. The Right-Wing has been engaged in terrorism for years now. They have been threatening it for years and it’s not just lonesome conseravtive domestic terrorist bloggers, although they have been actively talking about Violence and Overthrow of the Government, as well:

I hope they do feel threatened. Attempts at peaceable protests have been met at turns by feigned ignorance, then mockery, then attacks on the character and motives of those would not sit quietly by. Perhaps it will take a serious review of our capacity for violence to get them to realize we shall not surrender our individual liberties to their lust for power.

I have not yet been swayed to the point of view that an armed conflict is inevitable, TN_NamVolunteer. But we are close enough that one would be wise to prepare for a possible conflict…

Here are Republican Ford and Reagan cabinet members Ernest S. Christian and Gary Robbins in their article; Will Washington’s Failures Lead to Second American Revolution? Or more correctly they are asking Is having a Black man in the White house leading to Conservative Terrorism?

Conservative Domestic Terrorists plan to engage in an armed revolt once they lose at the ballot box again. Virginia GOP Ponch McPhee, Editor of the Greene County Virginia Newsletter, wrote the following,

The ultimate task for the people is to remain vigilant and aware  ~ that the government, their government is out of control, and this moment, this opportunity, must not be forsaken, must not escape us, for we shall not have any coarse but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November ~ This Republic cannot survive for 4 more years underneath this political socialist ideologue.

  13. Gary Hart “Really? Are you forgetting the 2009/2010 summer town hall meetings when republican/teaparty members were showing up with guns openly displayed?”

an irrational fear of firearms is called HOPLOPHOBIA.

    get yourself checked. really.

  14. Spot on assessment from Bob Owens who is a damn fine American. The divide between patriots and you Bolsheviks is too deep and wide to be bridged.

  15. “an irrational fear of firearms is called HOPLOPHOBIA.

    get yourself checked. really.”

And parading around a town hall with guns is a sign of a small, unused penis.

  16. ah yes, the penis reference. as though carrying a large gun is a replacement for a small penis.

I normally carry a .32 S&W short . some days I carry a .22 mini revolver. does that say I’m hung like john holmes?

someday, you’ll grow out of penis and poopy jokes. but then, maybe you won’t.

  17. I see we got some people drawing federal paychecks showing up and trying to provoke some “free speech” they can act on. I’ve dealt with these sorts before. Be forceful, but choose words carefully, or you’ll end up with a mountain of legal bills like I did. These clowns try to provoke – this is no different than a prostitution sting.

So, you provocateur wankers, which tentacle of the DHS is stamped on your pay stub?
