If you thought the millions of plastic pods artificially \u201cgrowing\u201d human babies in\u00a0The Matrix<\/em>\u00a0were creepy, wait until you see the animation of \u201cEctoLife<\/a>,\u201d set to be the world\u2019s first artificial womb facility. A recent video posted online by its inventor, Hashem Al-Ghaili, enthusiastically described a facility where tens of thousands of babies could be engineered and gestated in artificial \u201cwombs\u201d with constant monitoring to check for biological defects and growth. EctoLife claims it will engineer the most \u201cviable and genetically superior embryo\u201d as it is \u201creinventing evolution,\u201d producing up to \u201c30,000 lab-grown babies per year.\u201d<\/p>\n
As EctoLife asserted, \u201cOur goal is to provide you with an intelligent offspring that truly reflects your smart choices.\u201d Because eugenics led to such wonderful results in the 20th century!<\/p>\n
Remember how leftists have been telling us for years, and continue to tell us, that we\u2019re overpopulating the earth? EctoLife\u2019s ad explicitly said it is \u201cdesigned to help countries that are suffering from severe population decline\u201d\u2014something that most of the world\u00a0is suffering<\/a>\u00a0from, including America, by the way. Turns out that forgoing reproducing to pursue high-powered careers, luxury vacations, and an end to \u201cclimate change\u201d was not such a bright idea. The solution is not being to have babies the way God intended, of course, but to engineer and grow them in fake wombs. That way, \u201cartificial intelligence\u201d (AI) can monitor your baby for \u201cgenetic abnormalities\u201d (it\u2019s unclear what would happen to babies who turn out to be supposedly imperfect).<\/p>\n
The one really positive aspect is that the ad uses the word \u201cbaby\u201d to refer to unborn children throughout the entire ad, a tacit admission that pro-lifers are correct that the unborn truly are humans and not mere clumps of cells.<\/p>\n
There are many disturbing aspects to the ad, however. There\u2019s the fact that parents can supposedly \u201cengineer\u201d everything about their baby in the \u201celite package.\u201d CRISPR gene editing can \u201ccustomize\u201d and \u201cfix\u201d the baby, from his skin color to his IQ to his genetic disease susceptibilities, for a \u201cgenetically superior\u201d baby. There\u2019s the narrator excitedly explaining how birth will no longer involve a woman\u2019s body (just another way to sideline women while pretending to free them, I guess). Instead, it will involve a mere \u201cpush of a button.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ad expressed a seeming leftist bent by boasting that EctoLife will be powered by \u201csustainable\u201d wind and solar energy, so you don\u2019t have to worry about your \u201ccarbon footprint.\u201d I guess if climate alarmists can\u2019t convince humans to stop having children altogether to save the planet, they\u2019ll artificially grow babies in highly controllable artificial wombs instead.<\/p>\n
I found it particularly interesting that the ad claimed, \u201cWith EctoLife, miscarriage and low sperm count are a thing of the past.\u201d Some contraceptives\u00a0have\u00a0<\/a>long-term effects on fertility, and\u00a0studies<\/a>\u00a0indicate that COVID-19 vaccines could\u00a0reduce<\/a>\u00a0sperm count too. Did transhumanist leftists create the problem and then provide EctoLife as a \u201csolution\u201d?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
