Looks like, despite everything, maybe I\u2019m not quite as cynical as I really ought to be yet.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2024-election\/2024\/10\/22\/democrats-target-mcdonalds-for-price-gouging-after-trump-served-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrats Target McDonald\u2019s for Price Gouging After Trump Served Customers<\/a><br \/>Senate Democrats attacked McDonald\u2019s on Tuesday for price gouging while it continues to \u201cgrow\u201d profits and serve the needs of customers.<\/p>\n<p>The letter, written by Sens. Ron Wyden (D-OR), Bob Casey (D-PA), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), underscores the success of former President Donald Trump\u2019s campaign stop on Sunday when he worked a McDonald\u2019s drive-thru window in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>Images and video of the former president helping customers to McDonald\u2019s finest foods nearly broke the internet. Many of Trump\u2019s critics heralded the gesture as great retail politics and a stroke of political genius.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Democrats, however, appeared very upset by Trump\u2019s success.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter addressed to McDonald\u2019s Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski, the senators sought information about the fast-food restaurant\u2019s \u201cincreases in fast food prices over the last several years and seeking information regarding McDonald\u2019s pricing decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter made no mention of the policies implemented by the Biden-Harris administration that fueled inflation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>No, of course not. Why would they have, frankly?
