How many strikes do we have to give ’em before they’re out?

Glenn keeps saying how “sad” and horrible it is that the public no longer much trusts the goobermint’s health “experts,” but I don’t see it that way myself. I mean, come on: when your trust has been misplaced, your faith in over-powerful and unaccountable authorities betrayed, only a damned fool would continue to trust them.

We listened as bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci dictated economic, social, political and health policy from the widely watched White House stage, successfully shutting down businesses, sending people in fear to their homes, upsetting entire national industries and shuttering the doors on schools — all while claiming a complete hands-off approach to economic policy, political policy, education policy. All while claiming he spoke only to the “science” — all while waving his wand over the ever-changing “science.” All while pressing, pressing, pressing for patience until the development of a global vaccine. All while expecting his rapt, fearful audience to turn blind eyes to his own conflicts of interest with the development of a global vaccine — namely, that he sits on the board of the Bill Gates’ Decade of Vaccines campaign, aimed at developing and selling cure-all shots for what ails humans around the world.

And for the most part, the media did turn blind eyes.

Turn blind eyes, hell. They were cheering him on. And as long as what he says works to Trump’s and America’s disadvantage, they will go right on doing it.

The science was that the science was ever-changing, so to keep up, the rules, the regulations, the mandates, the orders, had to — simply had to! — change as well.

That’s not science. That’s flipping a flipping coin, again and again and again.

Well, in America, it’s time for the citizens to take back their rights from the charlatans. Scientists, on the coronavirus, have spent all the capital they have. They deserve to be drummed out and sent home. It’s time for the individuals to chart their own courses on personal health care.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me as many times as Fauci has since the AIDS scare back in the 80s—which he was wrong about too, along with every other damned thing he’s pronounced upon since, yet inexplicably still holds his powerful position rather than mopping a Wal-Mart restroom in Keokuk—well, I don’t even begin to know who gets shamed over that.

For something like a virus, one strike and you should be out. We don’t have room for massive error* like we’ve seen this time. Fauci should be emptying bedpans and cleaning toilets in a nursing home.

*I doubt it was error. I believe it was all gamed out to do as much destruction to the re-election chances of President Trump as possible.

HazHap

Completely agree, Barry. Fear-monger Fauci is a deep stater, part of the permanent bureaucracy that regards elected politicians as temporary annoyances who should not be allowed to disrupt their lucrative sinecures. Trump threatens their cozy empire-building, so the deep state has been trying everything they can think of to destroy him.

Fauci is also an excellent example of how our so-called ‘elites’ are never held accountable for being wrong. He has a decades-long track record of predicting huge numbers of people would die from one disease after another, none of which actually happened. And the lack of mass death was not due to his ‘heroic’ efforts, either.

kennycan

Fauci and Birx should be hanged with Cuomo and Whitmer and Others as Murderers.
Why stop there? Much of our Deep State should be hanged.
Almost everyone at a senior position in Government Bureaucracy for any more than two decades should be forced to get a private sector job or be hanged.

I simply cannot believe you guys haven’t been watching Tucker Carlson’s show.  He’s had this asshole’s number for months and has not been shy about it either.

It’s the only show on Fox that’s worth watching anymore.

Actually, sooner or later, I expect him to be taken off the air, but for now, he’s kicking the shit outta that blowhard Hannity (who for the life of me) was on top of the cable ratings like forever.

kennycan

We were ahead of even Tucker. Although I thank him too.

Barry

Way ahead. Anyone remember that initially Tucker was on board with the chinaVirus is going to kill us all scare? To his credit, he figured it out pretty quickly, but not as soon as Mike, Kenny, Haz, I, and others did.

kennycan

I can understand somewhat that a talking head had to be somewhat circumspect about things, BUT, I still feel that conservatives should always profess SOME skepticism about things of that nature even if on TV.

Fuel Filter

Yes, I know you were, as was CA @WRSA and many others. I was writing about people who reach a mass audience, which he certainly does.

Barry

Anyone over the age of 40 should know – anytime someone predicts massive death and destruction, whatever the cause, it’s a lie.

It’s been a lie my entire 67 years. And the predictions have been numerous.

HazHap

The Mencken quote about menacing the public with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary, comes to mind. People like Fauci or the global warmistas seek power for themselves by scaring the public. Of course they try to claim they are doing it “for our own good” but that is just another lie.

kennycan

Thinking back to Katrina, we all thought Nagin’s response (and the Governor’s too) was incompetence.

Given what we’ve seen this year, I strongly suspect things like the school buses sitting unused in their parking lots, to get flooded and useless, and the poor preparations and sending thousands to the Football Stadium so that a humanitarian disaster would occur there were all of a piece deliberately done to try to pin a Disaster on W Bush.

HazHap

The DNC media certainly has been trying hard to push the “X is Trump’s Katrina” meme, haven’t they? They have tried with a few different values of X, and I suspect they will continue trying. It worked well against Bush, and the left is not very inventive. Most of their playbook is decades old.

kennycan

It wouldn’t have worked on W if he had just pointed it out.
Trump Fights therefore Trump Wins.

W stands for Wimp…

kennycan

Then HW must have stood for Head Wimp.
