  1. Lost the comments Mike…

But I do like the longer recent comment list. Good addition / improvement.

        1. Ha, good guess. I swear I clicked on my recent comments for the old one and it went here…
But it’s working now so perhaps I’m deranged 🙂

          So, never mind Mike.

  2. A note from a friend this morning – he is taking a break from the internets as the news is depressing.

A career Air Force pilot from Vietnam on.

I feel for us all, but especially those that put their lives on the line over and over for the rest of us to have our freedom, only to watch those very people willingly hand over their liberty to the fascists.

    1. The economic reports were hopeful.
      There’s that.
Riot Porn is now fading and a lot quicker than Virus Panic Porn did.
That’s because absent a Right Wing climb on for Riot Porn, it falls on mostly deaf ears.
I use my Ruku for Prime Video.
Prime Video has “watch this” lines with “shows you might like” in different categories.
The first category was alwaays what we were watching now or recently.
Then there might be Tv Shows Drama, then TV Shows – Comedy, then Prime Productions Series, then Movies etc as you scroll down the horizontal lists.
Yesterday they change the first strip of “you may like” to all African-American Content.
The pandering is sickening, but that is Really Jumping The Shark.

      1. Yep, still amazed at the economic news. Not sure who said it first, maybe Mnuchin, that the recovery will look a lot like what occurs after a natural disaster like a hurricane. It looks like it may at least have elements of that.

I agree the riot porn is fading. I just hate that the generation that signed up as fighters for liberty have to see 30-40% of the country hell bent on destroying every semblance of freedom.

        1. Agreed that the economics looks better than I’d expected or hoped for.

Gotta say: what scares the hell out of me is just what kind of an operational clusterfuck the whole Corona Virus saga was from the initial reports and reactions, to the current point…

That tells me that if and when we DO have an actually lethal pandemic break out and spread, we’re thoroughly fucked. It’ll be going through civilian populations like shit through a goose while all of the people and agencies that are supposed to be responding to it are standing around pulling their puds and dithering.

And while all of the citizens are going, “Yeah, riiiiiggghhhttt. Suuuurrreee there’s a dangerous pandemic. Pull the other one – it gives chocolate milk.”

Because we’ve seen this episode before, and it was all bogus.

          Until it suddenly ain’t.

          1. Great point.

What to watch for going forward is if younger people are getting sick and then dying. Also, keep an eye on whether it starts spreading out from the cities rapidly.

          2. Heh. COVID-19 as the Official Trailer for the Fall Blockbuster. Coming SOON to a first world nation near you!

Meanwhile, we’ve had Pandemic Season, followed by Riot Season, and now we need to go through Days of Rage Season. Decorations and ornaments now on sale.

Ritual Burning of the Republican National Convention coming up. (RNC, because they didn’t have a DNC Convention this year, so they can’t quite follow the 1969 script 1-for-1.)

          3. Since the widespread use of anti-biotics we’ve not had a real bad viral/biologic outbreak. Often, the virus weakens the system such that the bacteria take over, so anti-biotics are still an important tool.

A true killer like ebola kills too quickly and never makes it very far out of jungleland.

  3. Multiple nationally televised “funerals” (political rallies) in multiple states, lying in state, former presidents attending — I had not realized George Floyd was a crowned head of state.

And I see that all of the usual race hustlers and poverty pimps are present, doing their utmost to incite hatred and keep the permanent racial grift game going. Have Sharpton and Jackson and the rest ever actually improved a situation? Even once? For the broader community, I mean — obviously they have done very, very nicely for themselves out of it.

      1. Sharpton, Jackson, Clyburn, the late Cummings — these have been the ‘leadership’ of the black community for about half a century now. The exact same roster of grifters and race hustlers for longer than most of that black community have been alive. What do the before and after comparisons of the state of that community say about their “leadership?”

Every single one of the “It’s always and forever Selma in the 60s” old guard is going to have to be carried off by Father Time before there is even the slightest hope of positive change. Unfortunately they have left plenty of disciples and pretenders to keep flogging that long-dead horse.

  4. Heh. Found in the comments at Z’s Place:

“There are only 267 companies listed here. You could probably easily add a zero to this number.

Companies who have kissed the Ring of Sauron:

    https://medium.com/@communismkills/here-are-the-companies-that-support-antifa-black-lives-matter-and-want-you-dead-1d79b1845f59

    And meanwhile at the link:

    null

Oh look! Post go down the Memory Hole!

You must not dissent from the Received Truth of the Hive, Komrade!

    1. “This account is under investigation or was found in violation of the Medium Rules.”

      Of course.

      1. I really like the “or”. Leaves it nice and open for “guilty of thought crimes to be filled in later”.

          1. The online “platforms” need some destruction of their facilities.

        1. They all think they need to go woke.
How many Corporate Executives have you met lately?
Their world is CNN and possibly Fox

  5. So – when, in the course of history, has kissing black ass ever accomplished anything?

  6. Sitting here at the PC with the TV on in the background I heard something odd and turned to watch the TV for a minute – some coverage of the multi-state celebration of the death of the criminal drug abuser. I haven’t paid it any attention, but here the home invasion leader is, in a white horse drawn hearse being paraded through Houston. I laughed at that. Imagine, I tell a bunch of commie “progressive” democrats that we can get them to stage a multi day / multi state parade of a gangster, a drug addict, a felony home invasion specialist, celebrating his life…

    1. I think George Floyd wouldn’t believe this if you told him his fortune accurately a month ago.

George, you’re going to die while resisting arrest and high on meth and fentanyl and then you’ll get multi-City funerals fit for a Head of State and the floor of the NYSE will remain silent for 8+ minutes in your Memory.

GTF outta here, are you some kind of nut?

    2. The left really have no new ideas, and haven’t had any for decades. And they learn nothing, since they are convinced they already know everything. Turning funerals into political rallies, like the Wellstone debacle and various others over the past few election cycles and now Floyd, never turns out well for them. But they keep doing it.

The kinds of people they keep choosing to “honor” in this fashion have a lot to do with the backlash, obviously. Politcal opportunists and grifters, small-time criminals, etc. getting the gilded treatment while they spit upon and insult the memories of actual heroes tends not to go over well.

Comments policy

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.
