Hero on the lam

Anopther day, another Righteous Shoot wherein a 2A guy takes down a prospective mass-murdering psycho before he starts the killing-spree proper. Y’know, exactly the kind of thing gun-grabbing Leftards swear never, ever happens. Ever.

Waffle House Customer Shoots, Kills Man Who Allegedly Threatened to Shoot Patrons
AL.com reported the incident occurred about 1:30 a.m.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money indicated that deputies were called about the man who was allegedly threatening patrons, but one of the restaurant’s customers got into “an altercation” with the suspect and shot him before deputies reached the scene.

WVTM noted that the Waffle House customer who shot the suspect fled the scene after the shooting.

I’ve said this before and my free advice went unheeded, unfortunately. But I’ll say it again: this guy better run and keep right on running, because if he gets a sudden attack of the guilts and turns himself in to the po-po they’re gonna charge with him umpty-leven counts of murder, whereupon they’ll confiscate his guns, his car, his house, his kids, and his bank account entire. Then they’ll lock him up for five-ten years to await his “speedy” trial, at which he’ll be pronounced guilty, remanded to custody, then suffer an “accidental” death by Epsteining.

Count on it, bub; like the rest of us, you don’t live in America That Was anymore. This is Amerika v2.0, and particularly if you happen to be a white guy, the system is NOT your friend. Hell, it doesn’t even pretend to impartiality anymore.

Noteworthy anniversary

My, how far we’ve come in 250 years. In precisely the wrong direction, alas.

They came like torches in the night, swarming over the sides of the three ships anchored in Griffin Harbor: the Dartmouth, Eleanor, and Beaver. Their faces were painted black, red, and copper from lamp soot and paint, bodies wrapped in blankets or wearing “old frocks, red woollen caps, gowns, and all manner of like devices.”

Axes pecked away at locks. Three hundred and forty wooden crates were cracked, scalped, and gutted, their 92,000 pounds of black powdered innards thrown into the water, turning it dark. After three hours, it was over. The only piece of personal property destroyed during the exercise was a padlock belonging to one of the captains, and this was replaced the next day.

The Boston Tea Party — which occurred 250 years ago this Dec. 16 — may not have been the spark that ignited the American Revolution, but it set the pieces up for the great conflict. Because of the tea’s destruction, Parliament retaliated throughout 1774 with the Coercive Acts.

Ironically, the British forged the very spirit that would ultimately defeat them in 1781.

Although only a prelude to the Revolution, the Boston Tea Party still has pertinent lessons for us today, especially in our specific moment. Like today, Americans 250 years ago faced an openly hostile government, much stronger than they were, and it was determined to prove its dominion over the colonies regardless of cost. The specifics have changed, but the familiar beats can be distinctly heard.

Follows, four lessons from the past that contemporary Americans must heed, of which I consider Numero Uno to be the most apposite.

The first lesson is to fight intelligently. When we think of the revolution, we think of the Spirit of ’76, the Minutemen at Lexington, Washington crossing the Delaware. We think of marches and speeches and flags defiantly waving. But 12 whole years of organization, planning, and activities came before the first actual line of resistance formed on Lexington Green.

Viewed in the rearview with the usual 20/20 hindsight, history has a way of compressing itself so that years of effort, dedication, and sacrifice look to contemporary eyes as if they occurred one after another, over mere days or, at most, weeks. But y’all know what I always say: a process, not an event. Civil War v1.0 didn’t just suddenly explode into being in 1860; the sparks which lit off that deadly conflagration go back to 1852, at the very least.

T’was ever thus, with every shooting war you care to cite: the origins of WW2 go back to the early 1930s—most modern historians argue its roots can be traced all the way back to 1918’s Treaty of Versailles, actually. Likewise, the Vietnam War did NOT kick off in Pleiku Province in 1965; its bitter seed was planted one heck of a lot further back as well. The 9/11/01 attacks? The crowning achievement of a conflict whose first shot was fired in 1993, themselves just two latter-day atrocities in a 1500-year-old struggle.

A process. NOT an event. It can be frustrating to look around at the massive buckets of shite being dumped over Real American heads by a rogue, clearly Constitutionally-illegitimate government and perceive little to no action being undertaken by true patriots in resistance. When viewed through the long, long lens of history, though, a decent argument can be made that the time is not yet ripe.

Best think again

During Sporty Time, one can reasonably expect that the cops and/or soldiery will join up with the side of Righteousness and refuse to shoot their fellow Americans at the behest of an illegitimate, tyrannical government, right?

Right?!?

Yeah, about all that.

As if. The civilians who were threatened with force, or subjected to force, by American troops would like to have a word:

  • 1791: The Whiskey Rebellion
  • 1863: The New York City Draft Riots
  • 1877: Great Railroad Strike in 1877
  • 1932: The Bonus Army
  • 1957: Desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas
  • 1962: Desegregation of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi
  • 1963: Desegregation of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
  • 1965 March from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama
  • 1967 Detroit Riots
  • 1967: Newark Riots
  • 1968 King assassination riots in Chicago, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
  • 1970 New York City Postal Strike in 1970
  • 1980 Cuban Refugee Crisis
  • 1989 Hurricane Hugo
  • 1992: Los Angeles Riots
  • 1993: Branch Davidians in Waco

As long a list as that is, DM still left off a few, to include Kent State in 1970 (“four dead in Ohio,” as sung/groaned by execrable über-shitlib Neal Dung) and the 5-0 bombing and burning of the MOVE HQ in Philly in 1985 which destroyed a city block entire, among others.

Update! DM commenter Big Ruckus D nails down the grim, gruesome reality.

And note that presently there’s all this talk of the invaders being tapped as new troops in exchange for citizenship. I maintain they don’t even need to recruit those, as there are plenty of bonafide Americans already serving who will obey an order to fire on other American civilians, and I suspect there are many who will do so with a certain amount of relish. The idea that wouldn’t happen is a pipe dream, and flies in the face of observable human nature. The only rights anyone truly has are the ones they are willing to kill a motherfucker who is infringing on them over. Everything else is mere words on paper and mental masturbation to guard against acknowledging unpleasant realities.

Pretty much, yeah. Tonight’s Eyrie outing, to be posted in a short (so it is written, so it shall be done), touches on this, if somewhat obliquely.

The MemememeMEEEE Generation

Anything about this stand glaringly out to anybody?

38-year-old woman decides she wants a baby, claims she’s been ‘betrayed by feminism’
A woman said she felt “betrayed by feminism” after deciding she wanted to settle down, have a family and a husband as she approached 39th birthday. At one point during the interview with Fox News Digital, she broke down crying describing how she feared she would end up alone and childless.

Melissa Persling recently wrote an essay for Business Insider titled, “I’m 38 and single, and I recently realized I want a child. I’m terrified I’ve missed my opportunity.” She said after it went viral in November, hate began to pour in from men telling her that she’s lived a selfish life. Persling has a much different account of her story.

When Persling was 22, she married a traditional man and moved to a rural community in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she grew up.

“He wanted a simple life with children and home-cooked meals,” she said. However, Persling – despite coming from a religious Christian background – made it clear to her husband-to-be that she did not want children.

“At that time I felt very strongly I did not want children, that I wasn’t going to be like the traditional housewife. I knew I did want to pursue a career,” she told Fox News Digital in an interview. “And I felt very strongly that that would never change. And I guess I was wrong.”

Persling said both her and her ex thought that love could conquer everything, but after 10 years, it was clear their differences in life goals were irreconcilable. Persling said she became resentful when he would ask for dinner or for his laundry to be done.

“I did little to hide my disdain for our small-town life. He was a good and hardworking man, but I don’t think I made him feel that way,” she said.

The bleary, teary tale of choice and consequence goes on from there. The point about being “betrayed by feminism” is fair enough, I suppose; as Sarah Hoyt quips, that’s what feminism was intended to do.  In the end, though, if you count up the number of times this pluperfect narcissist says “I feel,” “I think,” “I believe,” “I want,” “I need,” etc, you’ll probably end up thankful she doesn’t have kids. Because really, what kind of upbringing is that child going to have, and what will this woman’s influence over him/her/it end up creating?

What if they gave a war and nobody showed up?

If you lie to them repeatedly, they won’t come.

The foreign policy elite has sacrificed so many lives for so little justification. More than 7,000 service members and nearly 8,000 contractors died in combat after 9/11. An incredible 30,000 have committed suicide over the same period. Officially, some 52,000 were wounded in combat, many grievously. However, Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs reports that the real number “is exponentially larger,” given other injuries in theater and conditions diagnosed after returning home. Finally, hundreds of thousands of foreign civilians died in the misguided conflicts, innocent casualties of U.S. hubris and folly.

It is one thing to risk your life and health for America. But to instead die in such foolish wars? And to have your sacrifice so shamefully wasted? Patriots should preserve their lives for something better.

So far, the military has no answer to the dearth in recruits. The services are simply muddling along, considering small fixes to significant shortfalls. Adding recruiters and hiking pay are obvious steps. Reaching younger Americans and adjusting military routine to modern youth culture are others. Decreasing disqualifications and increasing physical fitness would increase the recruit pool. Retaining more existing personnel would reduce the need for new recruits. So would hiring laterally for specialty roles and introducing robots. Such efforts should help at the margin. Even so, however, they are unlikely to fill personnel gaps in the thousands.

The most important problem is that nothing has changed with U.S. foreign policy. Indeed, today’s potential wars are becoming more deadly. “We have strike groups, aircraft carriers with a Marine Expeditionary Unit outside Israel now,” observed Justin Henderson, a Marine Corps recruiter. He added, “We’re funding two wars, but we’re actually boots on the ground, drones above Gaza. So we’re already involved in there—and we’re not sure what’s happening in Taiwan. So this is a very tumultuous time for us, because we don’t know what’s going to happen.”

No, we don’t. Yet nothing good is likely to come from being involved in so many of the world’s incendiary confrontations and conflicts. Washington continues to ask young Americans to risk their lives here, there, and everywhere for no good reason.

Uncle Sam’s determination to be forever entangled in foreign wars is a very good reason not to join the armed services. The best way to solve the recruitment problem is to end frivolous interventions on behalf of peripheral interests. The armed services’ essential task is defending Americans—not sanctimonious Euroweenies, kleptocratic Saudi royals, well-heeled South Koreans, indifferent Taiwanese, and endless others.

If the infamous Blob, as the foreign policy establishment has been called, refuses to abandon its determination to dominate the globe, it almost certainly will have to impose conscription. However, a return to the hated practice would foster resistance, intensify partisan polarization, and spur social conflict. Moreover, coercing service would reduce the quality of the U.S. military, hiking indiscipline, reducing retention, and draining morale. Doing so might put more people in uniform, but far fewer would want to be there and prepared to give their all in combat, especially in the frivolous interventions of late.

The Washington War Party continues to spend wildly to dominate the globe, threat of national insolvency be damned. However, the challenge of finding young men and women willing to act as sentinels for a conflict-filled global empire is proving more daunting. If Americans increasingly refuse to serve, the Pentagon will have to do more than the policy equivalent of adjusting the deck chairs of the Titanic. Republicans and Democrats alike might have to again put America’s defense first.

Yet another lesson of history our damned-fool political “leaders” refuse to learn: as a nation staggers, weakens, and eventually collapses, its military does also. It’s a truism that has held up unfailingly throughout the history of human civilization; in fact, it’s how third-rate powers are made. For more information, please see Once-Great Britain, Moslem-conquered France and Germany, and the other sick men of (Western) Europe.

If you’re currently serving in the armed forces: get out, any way you can, by hook or by crook. If you’re thinking seriously of enlisting or signing on for another hitch: don’t, just…DON’T. Amerika v2.0 is in no way worth your blood, sweat, toil, and sacrifice, much less your very life. The civilian “leadership” despises its own soldiers; the majority of our pig-ignorant population loathes the soldiery in general as violent, thuggish knuckledraggers, the warrior spirit which animates and inspires any soldier worth his salt as the outdated creed of bloody-minded losers—the combination of which two represents a threat to all they consider good and decent.

The title of the article asks, “Why join the military?” The way things currently stand, I can’t think of one good reason any sane, sensible person would.

Know your rights

Alllll three of ‘em, as Joe Strummer once sang.

Not long ago, I heard about an incident I want to bring to your attention. A motorist, traveling outside his state of residence, was the victim of a minor traffic accident. However, during the investigation, an officer found two handguns in his car. The motorist was arrested for carrying without a permit, a felony in that particular state.

The problem was that the motorist had a concealed-carry permit alright—but only in his home state. This man was not a criminal. He had no prior-arrest record. He simply was in a state that refused to recognize another state’s license. What that oversight meant for this gentleman was a trip to jail, very expensive legal fees and possible time in prison—and loss of his Second Amendment rights.

We spend a lot of time talking about guns and gear and even some time talking about tactics. But, I’m not sure we spend enough time discussing the various laws concerning personal defense. It is possible to be otherwise justified in defending oneself, yet still be charged with a crime for some violation of legal procedure.

For example, some states have the so-called “Stand Your Ground” law. That is, if you have a legal right to be where you are, then there is no requirement to retreat before defending yourself. Other states require you to attempt to retreat, sometimes with an exception when you’re in your home, before responding to a violent attack. What do they consider a legitimate attempt to retreat?

While you may know the law in your home state, you are bound by the law, whatever it is, in the state that you are visiting. And, trust me, they are not going to be the least bit interested in how you do it back home.

That’s a fact, Jack. In Amerika v2.0, the State’s one and only interest is locking you up, first, last, and always. The Constitution itself clearly states that no State law may traduce the US Constitution—which certainly includes the 2A—rendering gun-grabber legislation in even the most Left-“liberal” of states null and void. “Shall not be abridged,” remember? Yet somehow, well, here we all are nevertheless.

What a travesty. As the bumper stickers have it: the Founders would have been shooting a loooonnnng time ago.

Sanctuary city county

About damned time.

Town Forms Militia to Resist Whitmer’s Gun Control Laws
The Second Amendment reads, “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the people’s right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” We who oppose gun control tend to recognize that nothing in the introductory clause negates that whole “shall not be infringed” bit.

A lot of other people focus on that first part, arguing that “well regulated” means the same thing today as it did back then. Some will even say that if you want a gun, you should join a militia.

Now, they mean the National Guard, but they failed to be specific and that’s on them.

In Michigan, though, gun control laws seem to be rolling steadily down the line. One town, however, is in that “shall not be infringed” camp and declared itself a Second Amendment sanctuary. They also formed their own “well regulated militia” to try and make it stick.

A township in Muskegon County has declared itself a Second Amendment sanctuary and created a maximally inclusive militia in hopes of protecting citizens’ constitutional rights from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s gun control laws.

…The resolution stated that “the Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of our nation; … the Second Amendment to the Constitution states, ‘A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed’; and … the United States Supreme Court has affirmed that the right of an individual to ‘keep and bear arms,’ as protected under the Second Amendment, is incorporated by the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment against the states.”

Noting that board members will remain steadfast in upholding the the U.S. and Michigan constitutions and oppose “any law that would unconstitutionally restrict the rights of the citizens of Holton Township to keep and bear arms,” the resolution called for the technical establishment of a militia.

Accordingly, all legal residents with primary residency within the township who are 18 or older, capable of passing a federal firearms background check, and desire to do so can become a member of the Holton Township Militia simply by indicating their intent “on open media or to friends and or family or by letter.”

Divemedic frets that this move may bring us one step closer to CW II, and he may well be right about that. As disturbing a prospect as that is, though, the fact remains that if 2A people had stepped up in defense of their Constitutionally-enumerated rights like this long ago, we wouldn’t be in this mess to start with. Ref: Mike’s Iron Law Nos. 1, 213, 873, and 1,246. The underlying principle applies in other contexts beyond the 2A—far too many of ‘em, actually.

Real Americans from 50-60-70 years ago might possibly be excused for being unaware of the implacable, insatiably-rapacious nature of the Goosesteppin’ Left, maybe, but not today. We’ve surely seen enough by now to understand that, with authoritarian Leftards like Fraulein Whitler, if you give ‘em an inch, they’ll take absolutely everything you have. Rights not defended are rights lost; as the Founders warned, they are never restored willingly—they must either be taken back, or surrendered forever.

I believe I’ve just come up with a new Iron Law: In the face of creeping tyranny, complacency is death. It’s sad, it’s scary, it’s unpleasant to contemplate, it’s tragic, even. What it also happens to be is the cold, hard truth.

Update! Mike’s Iron Laws have been duly revised.

MastectomyWoes

Any parent whose child is afflicted with the curse of gender dysmorphia and piously declares an intention to work with the doctors/surgeons to be “supportive” of the poor kid’s “choice” ought to be thrown into prison without the option, before the last syllable has left his/her mouth.

Dark Carlson

Tucker goes full-on Bleak Pill. Not “black,” bleak.

Tucker Carlson Makes Grave Prediction for 2024… And He’s Probably Right
The 2016 presidential election was particularly bad, as the Hillary campaign colluded with the Obama administration to frame Trump with colluding with Russia to steal the election. Four years later, Democrats exploited the COVID pandemic to unilaterally change election laws for nefarious purposes.

What’s in store for us in 2024? According to Tucker Carlson, it’s going to be worse. He predicted that the 2024 election will be “like nothing we’ve ever seen” during a speech at the RiskOn360 Global Success Conference in Las Vegas.

“I flew out here across the country this morning and spent five hours texting people…and I gotta tell you, every single person I texted, with the exception of my wife — who’s not on the internet at all — was angry and paranoid,” Carlson said. “Seriously, and these are not crazy people. These are normal good people with like kids and stuff. With a vested interest in Americans’ success. These are not the burn-it-down caucus. These are the, you know, these are the people you want voting.”

“And I have to say after assessing their views for five hours, I think they were justified in both. They had every reason to be angry and all the evidence required to become paranoid,” Carlson continued. “I’m just telling you once again, what you already know, which is this is going to be — the next year is going to be, I think I’d bet my house on it, really like nothing we’ve ever seen in the country. And everyone can kind of feel that. You know, most of our perceptions come through intuition rather than reason.”

“But if you’re close to your dog, you know, the dog knows exactly what’s going on…they just watch and they feel. And people are very much the same. And if something bad is about to happen, everybody gets jumpy. And everybody’s really jumpy right now,” he added.

“Your gut is the one thing that doesn’t lie to you. Your gut only has your interest in mind. It is not trying to sell you a product, or convince you to vote for it,” Carlson pointed out. “If you feel like you’re being lied to, you’re 100 percent right — you are being lied to. And if you feel like something very intense in history is about to happen, don’t ignore it. Don’t panic. There’s not profit in that, you can’t control it — you’re not in charge of history.”

Carlson then referenced the 2024 election specifically.

“You’ve got two people people running for president — one of them is literally senile,” Carlson said before noting that he doesn’t actually believe Biden is in charge of anything, “yet he’s standing for reelection at the age of 80.”

So? Biden was senile in 2020 too, widely acknowledged as one of the most corrupt, grubby, dishonest ProPols ever to be puked forth from the maw of Amerika v2.0’s misbegotten political power-structure. Didn’t stop his oxygen-thief ass from being anointed as the figurehead for TPTB then, and it’s unlikely to turn out any differently next time around, provided he somehow manages to keep from assuming room temperature before then. With one clumsy foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, it’ll be a near-run thing for sure.

Carlson is dead right about Pedo Peter not being in charge of anything, up to and including his own morning bowel movement. Those who are running things are the shadowy Grey Men with names we’ll never know, faces we’ll never see, and who will never, ever come up for any kind of vote whatsoever.

There already IS a “Palestine”

Has been for many years now, and we need another one like I need another hole in my fucking head.

Geert Wilders Correctly Notes That Jordan Is ‘Palestine’
Hallelujah! There is a politician who actually knows history! Geert Wilders, who just won an election victory in the Netherlands, caused uproar after stating the simple historical fact that Jordan is the Arab nation that “Palestinians” keep claiming they don’t have.

On November 25, Wilders, whose party came out on top in this past week’s Dutch election, posted an article on Twitter/X Nov. 25 with the comment “Jordan is Palestine!” and the title “Arab states condemn Wilders for push to relocate Palestinians to Jordan.”

PJ Media’s Robert Spencer previously explained how “Palestine” was used as a regional term, never as the title of an ancient or medieval nation. Then in the 1920s, the League of Nations granted administrative powers to the British for a part of the collapsed Ottoman Empire, with instructions to create a “national home for the Jewish people.” Sadly, the British chose to favor Arabs over Jews.

Britain immediately turned over 77% of the Mandate to the Arabs to create Jordan but remained generally committed to establishing a Jewish national home in the remainder. This was known as the Mandate for Palestine. Sometimes Leftists point to it as the Palestinian state that supposedly predated Israel, but this claim relies on the ignorance of the fact that this British territory had been explicitly set aside for Jewish settlement; nine years before the founding of the modern state of Israel, a 1939 flag of “Palestine” sports a star of David.

When the State of Israel was founded in 1948, it immediately had to fight a war for its survival against the surrounding Arab nations that had vowed to destroy it. Then there was finally an occupation — in fact, two: Egypt occupied Gaza and Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria (which it renamed the West Bank)… [A] Palestinian state, if it is ever created, would be the first-ever such entity in the history of the world. There is actually no Israeli occupation at all.

The so-called “Palestinians” are actually a conglomeration of other Arab peoples, invented as a separate “people” in the 1960s. Ancient Israel was a Jewish nation over a thousand years before Islam was invented. Islamic scriptures endorse killing non-Muslims, and as heinous as the Oct. 7 attack was, it is sadly the latest egregious example of decades of Arab jihad on Israel.

Wilders later retweeted an alleged Hamas statement responding to him, mocking Hamas as clowns. “Hamas complaining about international law,” he tweeted. Employing its usual tactic of labeling its opponents with a name that accurately describes itself, the terrorist group Hamas — with its avowed goal being Jewish genocide — actually called Israelis and their allies Nazis. “We strongly condemn the statement of the Dutch extremist Wilders, who calls for the displacement of our people to Jordan, which calls for widespread international condemnation,” the statement began. These are terrorists, who mutilated and burned alive children, calling Wilders an extremist!

I’d say the main conclusions to take from Hamas’s statement are that anyone calling Wilders a “racist extremist” is agreeing with terrorist propaganda, and that if you are infuriating one of the most evil and perverted terrorist organizations in the world, as Wilders did, you are probably doing something right.

A-yup. Myself, I’d also add that if your dislike for ((((JooJooJooJOOOOOOZ!!!)))) leads you to agree with absolutely anything the jihadists are saying or doing, you very much need to rethink a few things—your reflexive prejudice has led you badly astray, as it tends to do.

Ask a silly question Part the Eighty Bajillion And Eleventh

Man, I really gotta start properly keeping up with the numbers on these “silly question” posts of mine, instead of just making ‘em up as I go along.

Spaniards Aren’t Afraid To Protest, So Why Are American Conservatives?

Hmmm, lemmesee now: because they’re aware that they have an overly powerful enemy in Amerika v2.0’s FBI/Stasi/Waffen SS, and will surely be summarily pronounced guilty—without benefit of legal representation, formal indictment, or trial by jury—of multiple counts of the Sacred Democracy™-annihilating Secret Felony of “unarmed parading with aggravated counter-revolutionary intent” and end up Goo(g)lagged as “violent insurrectionists” if they do?

Tens of thousands of protesters have flooded city streets across Spain since October in sustained demonstrations opposing a socialist takeover of the Spanish government. Protesters are showing their opposition toward an amnesty deal between Spain’s socialist President Pedro Sánchez and treasonous Catalan separatists, who violated the Spanish constitution in 2017 by attempting to secede from Spain. By striking a deal to free incarcerated and exiled Spanish criminals, Sánchez was able to secure a third term in power.

The protests are organized by Spain’s conservative People’s Party and Vox, its further right, populist party. In an interview between Vox President Santiago Abascal and Tucker Carlson last week, Abascal explained that the amnesty deal is a crime “against the constitution” and “national unity.”

But the massive demonstrations are not just in defense of the Spanish Constitution, Abascal explained; they’re about what an illegal third Sánchez term means for Spain, namely a failing Spanish economy, two-tier justice, mass illegal immigration from Muslim countries, speech policing, globalism, the demonization of Spanish history, and loss of Spanish identity.

The problems faced by Spaniards are strikingly similar to those facing Americans. The American left hates our heritage so much they torched American cities and destroyed historical statues and monuments for an entire summer. Our corrupt president, Joe Biden, was able to take power thanks to a rigged election, and his administration has weaponized the federal government against his most prominent political adversary, former President Donald Trump, and anyone in ideological opposition to the Democrats.

Using fear and intimidation, the left is scaring conservatives into giving up their freedom to assemble. One of the primary fear tactics is to severely punish those who, on Jan. 6, 2021, opted to protest Democrat’s election-rigging practices, such as mass mail-in balloting and Big Tech censorship. As newly-released Jan. 6 footage further reveals, many of the Jan. 6 protesters accused of rioting were peaceful.

Conservatives aren’t just afraid — they’re also hopeless. After witnessing the Marxist race riots of 2020 and the erasure of their civil liberties during Covid, many Americans no longer recognize their homeland.

Spain Understands The Stakes

Spain has first-hand experience with communism. When communists controlled Spain, both in the lead-up to and during the civil war in the 1930s, it resulted in the persecution of Spanish intellectuals, clerics, and Christian laypeople.

Spanish communists began their anti-Christian hate by banning all religious schools, removing crucifixes from classrooms, and deeming all religious marriages invalid in the eyes of the state. Eventually, they started burning Catholic Churches and mass executing Catholic religious and laypeople. Property rights were thrown out, and conservatives were unjustly convicted in kangaroo courts and executed.

In America, we are blessed not to know. However, that blessing is also a curse. We don’t appreciate how easily a free nation can fall into tyranny. Unable to oppose or even recognize tyranny, younger generations have lost touch with the American revolutionary spirit after sending generations of Americans to spend their formative years in reeducation camps run by cultural Marxists (aka public school and the university system).

Perhaps a way to regain America’s lost fortitude is by watching conservative freedom fighters in Spain. We may not have the national memory of communists burying priests alive or defiling and decapitating nuns, but we can look to Spain for motivation.

Indeed, the Spanish protests should inspire Americans, and Spanish history should be a warning. If we resign ourselves to failure or allow ourselves to be intimidated into silence, the consequences will be nothing short of complete national destruction.

After having been unequivocally and repeatedly schooled, in writing no less, by their own Founding Fathers in all anyone should ever need to know about the subject, if American conservatives don’t appreciate fully by now “how easily a free nation can fall into tyranny”—if they don’t understand the warning provided by not only contemporary Spanish history but more than a century’s historical experience with communism all over the planet—then American conservatives are just too fucking stupid to live, and richly deserve what they’re going to get.

Forget Spain; OUR OWN history, heritage, and powers of observation should provide more than sufficient inspiration to fight the menace of insidious Communism with every ounce of our strength, to our last dying breath. It’s a mark of the Left’s total success at penetrating, taking over, and perverting our education/indoctrination apparat entire that we should need to be reminded of that absolute imperative.

It’s incomprehensible to me that, to our eternal disgrace, we should remain lackadaisical about offering much in the way of meaningful resistance to the damnable Commies, much less openly denounce and defy them, much less take any action against them more effective than sotto voce grumbling amongst our fellows, then scurrying on out to VOAT HARDERER AT THEM!!!© just one more time.

Guess that would be downright uncouth of us, eh? Sometimes, despair can come to feel like the only sensible option in light of all this.

The one and only example Real American patriots need look to and follow is the one set by our illustrious, heroic forefathers. Every day, in every way, let them be our mentors, our inspiration, our spiritual guides. Without them, we are lost. We all know full well what those men would be doing in our situation right about now.

Then again, we also know they’d never have let things slide to such a dire extent that they’d find themselves in our situation in the first place. They’d consider such straits as these to be utterly intolerable, a lowly condition which no proud, self-respecting American man could ever even think of enduring without acting to avenge the insult and redeem his personal honor and dignity—promptly, vigorously, in a fashion brusque enough to preclude any possibility of misinterpretation or mistake.

Denominational cues ‘n’ clues

The handiest, most concise guide for the Christianity-curious you’ll ever find.

It can be so confusing, trying to figure out which of the 437 Christian denominations you want to join. In fact, scientists believe there are almost as many denominations as there are genders. That’s a lot of different ways to do church!

Luckily, we’re here to help you sort through them all. Here are the pros and cons of each of the major Christian denominations:

Baptist

Pro: Potlucks

Con: Diabetes

Presbyterian

Pro: Majestic old hymns that cause your soul to rejoice in God’s glory

Con: You are not allowed to move a single muscle while rejoicing in God’s glory

Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church

Pro: Positive, uplifting messages

Con: Hell

Eastern Orthodox

Pro: Full, robust beards

Con: The women have them too

Charismatic

Pro: Hit your step goal 20 minutes into service

Con: Non-zero chance of getting knocked over by the pastor and/or bitten by a snake

Anglican

Pro: Can have a beer & cigar with your priest

Con: Decent chance your priest is a drag queen

United Methodist Church

Pro: Cool logo on church building

Con: Rainbow flag on church building

Unitarian

Pro: You can do whatever you want and there’s no God or hell

Con: Oh no! They’re wrong and now you’re in hell

Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to confirm whether the outlet from whence this excerpt was gleaned is a satire site or not, so you’ll just have to judge for yourselves.

Excellent advice

Buy a gun.

Things are starting to look like they’re going to get dire, and you should probably get a firearm for self-defense.

The reason you should get one probably isn’t going to surprise a lot of my readers. In fact, this isn’t necessarily directed at you scrolling through this article (unless you don’t own a firearm, in which case, sell your cloak and buy one) but the people you might know who are either on the fence or don’t think something nasty isn’t coming their way.

Something is coming this country’s way, and if our recent history has taught us anything, it’s going to get bloody in the streets.

The thing coming is the 2024 election. While all elections have a “this is the most important election in our lifetime” feel hanging over it, this election is particularly tense. That tension is only going to grow from here, and you’re going to see it get worse by leaps and bounds after the Republicans nominate their candidate to run against President Joe Biden.

No matter who gets the nomination, you’re going to see the left flip out and begin ramping up riots, protests, and violence, likely because the media will stir the fears and anxieties of those who still believe them. If the pattern holds, then the media will focus on a cause of some sort that will foment hatred and division that puts Republicans at the center of the blame.

It’s not conservatives the nation needs to worry about getting violent. The violence will come from the left as sure as day turns to night, and you need to be ready when it does, especially if Trump gets close to or obtains the office of the Presidency. Should that happen, the reaction from the left will be fiery both figuratively and very literally.

Violence will be cheered on by Democrat politicians, a fearmongering media, and leftist advocacy organizations of every variety. In their self-induced fear and panic, they will begin destroying and assaulting, attempting takeovers of city blocks, and punishing anyone they believe to be guilty of paving the way for Trump’s return.

You need to be able to defend yourself if you happen to find yourself in an area where the backlash happens.

Forewarned is forearmed; an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure; better to have and not need than to need and not have, all that jazz. I omitted several paragraphs of speculation on Trump’s chances in next fall’s “election” entertainment production, and what might transpire should he win—win again, that is, since he already did so in 2020, then was removed from office via the J6 coup d’état so as to allow the Shadow State to install its choice of marionette, allowing the (shit)show to go on.

My opinion on Trump’s Quixotic quest for the presidency remains unchanged—which, rather than prattle on at length yet again about it, can be sententiously summed up with a reworking of Gen William R Sherman’s famous riposte: If nominated, he will not be allowed to run; if elected, he will not be allowed to govern. In any event, getting another gun is never a bad thing. It’s an easy-peasy, no-brainer move no 2A person is likely to regret making, each and every time.

Walsh gratuitously insults cats

By using them as a metaphor for the Wokester Left.

If you’re unfamiliar with the single-celled parasite toxoplasma gondii, it probably means you’re a cat lover, and if you are a cat lover it likely means you have an infection called toxoplasmosis gondii and therefore have no idea you’re sick. All you know is, you can’t get enough of cats, which is exactly what the bacillus intends. And if you have the misfortune to be a small animal, such as a mouse, the disease causes you to lose your fear of the predators, turning you from prey into lunch in short order.

So it is with what Elon Musk has called the “woke mind virus” now found today on the international Left. Like toxoplasmosis, it seems to thrive chiefly among females, although both sexes are well represented. Its symptoms are an unaccountable compulsion to cozy up to your deadliest enemies, to soothe them and coddle them and caress them until one day they finally eat you. It’s suicidal, of course, but such is the power of the virus.

Ah, but kittens are cute, you say. What harm can there be in “rescuing” one of the little darlings? And then two, then three, then eight, then a house full of them? Once infected, you can’t stop. The bug has caused you to lose all fear for your own safety or well being, and dedicates you entirely to serving its cause, which is its survival, not yours.

A couple was found dead inside their Yorktown home this week with nearly 150 cats inside. The man and woman were discovered Monday after a request for a welfare check at the home on Cordial Road. Yorktown police found the couple dead but were not able to investigate further due to the number of cats inside the home. “I’m surprised people could live inside with the conditions present,” said Yorktown Police Department Chief Robert Noble.

Well, they did until they didn’t. And so it is with geo-politics and the noxious poison known as “wokism” or whatever the shape-shifting radical Left is calling its war on Western civilization today. The goal, like the parasite found in cat poop, is to get well-meaning, big-hearted, but soft-headed fellow travelers to lose their fear of consequences and only see the adorable objects of their pity. World peace! Who could be against that?

But dangerous predators, no matter how small or cute or cuddly, have teeth and a willingness to use them on whatever fool crosses their path. Just two decades after 9/11, Osama bin Laden is suddenly a pop star. Who had that on his bingo card?

Who indeed. Then again though, I named this here websty in the expectation that the sudden resurgence of national pride and “unity” in the immediate aftermath of 9/11—incited as it was not by deep-seated patriotic fervor but by shock and terror—would be gone like smoke in a strong wind in no time at all, wafted off into total dissipation on a gale-force blast of the Left’s enduring hatred for America, its founding ideals, its people, its prosperity, and ultimately, for themselves.

The way I saw it, this superficial “unity” couldn’t possibly last for more than a few days, perhaps a week or two at most, before the Left’s innate Blame-America reflex would pick back up where it had momentarily left off. Sadly, I was right; as I recall, it was no more than three (3) days before the first “The US had it coming!” and “No blood for oil!” posters started showing up in street-facing apartment windows…in NEW YORK FUCKING CITY, of all places.

To my mind, the proper response to such unthinking, obnoxious perfidy could only be, must only be, cold fury: at the gross stupidity of it; at the blind, pig-ignorant malice galvanizing it; at the somber hint it provided regarding the country’s future (if any); most of all, at the considerable peril in which it would put the rest of us.

The Left as toxoplasmosis? Full-blown cancer, more like.

Mike goes on to deftly flesh out his kitteh/Lefteh comparison, offering ample justification for what at first glance looks like a badly strained metaphor and making it work in the end. His closing riff, ominous though it is, is dead on target.

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.
