Mo’ bettah hilarity

The great Godfrey Elfwick is back, and in the very nick of time too.

Refusing to wax a woman’s balls is transphobia at its most blatant… and yet here we are, in 2019, still disrespecting trans women’s rights by denying them a smooth nutsack.

I’m referring of course to the recent publicity surrounding Jessica Yaniv, a stunning and brave trans woman who has filed complaints against more than a dozen female waxers with the Human Rights Council in British Columbia. And what is the justification these women have attempted to make in order to disguise their obvious bigotry? Well, among other flimsy excuses, ‘religious grounds’ (the majority of these women are immigrants) and the bizarre claim from one of them that her husband feared for her safety due to the fact that she works from home and has small children to take care of. What on earth does a woman have to fear from a 200+ lbs trans woman who is simply asking to come round to her home and have the hairs removed from her testicle satchel?

As a trans woman myself, I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been misgendered in Dorothy Perkins because of my beard, and so I have skin in the game here, so to speak. I understand all too well the shame that a denial of service can bring. For the past two years I’ve been trying to get my doctor to give me a Pap smear which he has point blank refused purely based on his misguided logic of me ‘not having a cervix’. As a medical man, I would expect him to understand that biological sex has nothing to do with gender and if I feel that I have a cervix, that should be more than enough for him to throw his anatomy charts into a bin and never refer to them again. These days, doctors know nothing compared to people like myself who have spent six months doing Gender Studies before being forced to quit due to the stress of being made to write essays twice a month.

Okay, that oughta be plenty enough to convince y’all you need to read the rest of it, which is not nearly as long as I’d like it to be. Don’t be such a stranger, Godfrey, the world needs you now more than ever before.

(Via MisHum)

How you slide down a slippery slope update! Gradually at first, then all at once.

One of the first articles I ever wrote about the transgender movement was in 2014, when I argued that the Chicago Tribune was wrong to retract Kevin Williamson article in which he stated that trans women are in fact men. This particular trans-identifying man was actor Laverne Cox, and pulling the plug on Williamson’s sensible column was an early salvo in a fight that has gone on now for five years.

At that time, most of the blowback I received from the left had to do with minding my own business. What did it matter to me, this early line of argument went, if men become women or women become men? Why couldn’t I just live and let live? It was such a tiny group of people, after all. Why was this such a big deal?

In response, I began to argue that if society allowed this monumental change to the very nature of sex and gender, then there would be policy implications. I talked about women’s sports, set-aside programs for women-owned businesses, and women’s-only spaces. Shortly thereafter, the bathroom wars began.

But hey, the past is the past. What seemed obvious and troubling to conservatives seemed impossible and nonsensical to progressives. What else is new? But here we are. Right now, the leftists who promised that it would never come to this, that it would never come to men forcing their penis and testicles into the faces of unwilling women, need to address the fact that, to their shock, this is exactly what happened.

I’m all for letting bygones be bygones. But can we now please finally all realize that there are real policy and personal implications to this rash decision to suddenly change the definition of men and women? Can the left stop pretending that none of this matters? Can we protect women who don’t want to wax the testicles of men, or women, or whatever the left wants to call them?

No, you BIGOTED HHH888RRR BIGOT, we most certainly can NOT. We must now move on to the next step: forcing MEN to wax the testicles of men. After that, we’ll move on to forcing cisgender het binary HHH8888RRRR men to date gay men, transgender mish-mashes, and eventually, say, squirrels.

Yeah, you readers probably think I’m being facetious here. You just wait.

A tale of two immigrants

One admirable, worthy, and welcome, and one…NOT.

Perhaps—I do not know—this is what happened to Ms. Omar in the four years she spent in a refugee camp in Kenya as a child. Or perhaps she became acquainted with Islamist anti-Semitism in Minnesota, where her family settled when she was 12. In any case, her preoccupation with the Jews and Israel would otherwise be hard to explain.

Spreading anti-Semitism through all these channels is no trivial matter—and this brings us to the question of resources. “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” Ms. Omar tweeted in February, implying that American politicians support Israel only because of Jewish financial contributions. The irony is that the resources available to propagate Islamist ideologies, with their attendant anti-Semitism, vastly exceed what pro-Israel groups spend in the U.S. Since the early 1970s the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has spent vast sums to spread Wahhabi Islam abroad. Much of this funding is opaque, but estimates of the cumulative sum run as high as $100 billion.

Thousands of schools in Pakistan, funded with Saudi money, “teach a version of Islam that leads [to] anti-Western militancy,” according to Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy—and, one might add, to an anti-Semitic militancy.

The allegation that Jewish or Zionist money controls Congress is nonsensical. The Center for Responsive Politics estimates that the Israeli government has spent $34 million on lobbying in Washington since 2017. The Saudis and Qataris spent a combined $51 million during the same period. If we include foreign nongovernmental organizations, the pro-Israel lobbying figure rises to $63 million—less than the $68 billion spent lobbying for Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In 2018 domestic American pro-Israeli lobbying—including but not limited to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or Aipac—totaled $5.1 million. No comparable figures are available for domestic pro-Islamist lobbying efforts. But as journalist Armin Rosen observes, Aipac’s 2018 total, at $3.5 million, was less than either the American Association of Airport Executives or the Association of American Railroads spent on lobbying. Aipac’s influence has more to do with the power of its arguments than the size of its wallet.

Now consider the demographics. Jews were a minority in Europe in the 1930s, but a substantial one, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. Today Jews are at a much greater disadvantage. For each Jew world-wide, there are 100 Muslims. In many European countries—including France, Germany, the Netherlands and the U.K.—the Muslim population far exceeds the Jewish population, and the gap is widening. American Jews still outnumber Muslims but won’t by 2050.

The problem of Muslim anti-Semitism is much bigger than Ilhan Omar. Condemning her, expelling her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, or defeating her in 2020 won’t make the problem go away.

Islamists have understood well how to couple Muslim anti-Semitism with the American left’s vague notion of “social justice.” They have succeeded in couching their agenda in the progressive framework of the oppressed versus the oppressor. Identity politics and victimhood culture also provide Islamists with the vocabulary to deflect their critics with accusations of “Islamophobia,” “white privilege” and “insensitivity.” A perfect illustration was the way Ms. Omar and her allies were able to turn a House resolution condemning her anti-Semitism into a garbled “intersectional” rant in which Muslims emerged as the most vulnerable minority in the league table of victimhood.

As for me, I eventually unlearned my hatred of Jews, Zionists and Israel. As an asylum seeker turned student turned politician in Holland, I was exposed to a complex set of circumstances that led me to question my own prejudices. Perhaps I didn’t stay in the Islamist fold long enough for the indoctrination to stick. Perhaps my falling out with my parents and extended family after I left home led me to a wider reappraisal of my youthful beliefs. Perhaps it was my loss of religious faith.

In any event, I am living proof that one can be born a Somali, raised as an anti-Semite, indoctrinated as an anti-Zionist—and still overcome all this to appreciate the unique culture of Judaism and the extraordinary achievement of the state of Israel. If I can make that leap, so perhaps can Ms. Omar.

Not at all likely, I’d say. It’s readily apparent that Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Ilhan Omar-Elmi are completely opposite sides of the Somali/Muslim coin; Omar-Elmi’s lack of character, integrity, and perspective—along with her visceral, abiding rage and arrogance—render the odds of her ever developing maturity and humility enough to rethink her prejudices very long ones indeed. Increasing those odds astronomically is Omar-Elmi’s total immersion in Leftist politics and ideology, based as they are on nurturing notions of grievance, injustice, and entitlement among its hate-filled adherents. Add it all up and what you have is a snarling, rabid hyena that ain’t EVER gonna change its spots.

Diversity comes to Disneyland

Never a Marlin Perkins with a trank gun around when you really need one.

Parkgoers enjoyed a heartwarming spectacle at Disneyland’s Anaheim location last weekend. It all started in extremely implausible circumstances, when a young black man felt that he and his daughter had been “disrespected,” something he warned a certain supernaturally fat black woman not to do. Ah, in vain. For she proceeded to spit in the poor man’s face, whereupon he cursed at her and punched her several times. Then another black man—presumably her baby’s daddy—got involved, gallantly slugging the other fellow.

What followed seemed like it was taken from the pages of National Geographic, the disrespected man doing a kind of elaborate fighting dance while taunting his opponent with sublime pride—“What’s up?!” and “What’s happenin’, bro?!”—before he and the bro traded haymakers.

Basking in their privilege, the white onlookers recalled black comedy skits from the ’80s in which blacks mock the extravagant manner in which they fight, in order to intimidate honkies. Several whites captured the melee on their iPhones, and some of the footage will be used in the upcoming documentary on the American melting pot, What Happens in the Wild.

“Hold my daughter,” the rotund black woman ordered a convenient stranger nearby, who hoped she would not be obliged later to adopt the excited little demon who managed to throw some animal crackers in the direction of the scuffle.

The fight now became rather complicated, for the black woman was joined by another sister, so that there were four persons swinging wildly at one another, all while trying not to slip on the gathering puddles of cocoa butter and the fat black woman’s sweat below them. There was even more profanity, even more evidence for white liberals that diversity is our strength.

“I’m ready to go to jail tonight!” declared the disrespected man thoughtfully, who perhaps had been there before. “I don’t give a fuck ’bout no video! You put yo’ hands on muh bitch, nigga!” he added in the elegant African-American vernacular. For her part, the bitch was charmed by this chivalry, and made a mental note to reference it during her next spoken-word performance.

The violence went on for several minutes, until some white people, meddlesome as ever, infringed on the black efforts to administer justice among themselves, a high school football coach and some others breaking up the rumble in Disneyland. During the course of this, the disrespected man was choked out and briefly lost consciousness. But happily, upon coming to, his virtuous character remained intact, as he repeatedly demanded to know who had choked him out—was it not a cop?—and was eager to settle the score.

Having refrained from arresting the oppressed blacks, the police are now conducting an investigation. The mother of some of the four brawlers, herself considerably fat, is disabled, and gets around via a taxpayer-funded motorized wheelchair. She was knocked to the ground toward the end of the fight, but it is not known whether anybody will be charged with a hate crime.

I read about this incident in the immediate wake of its occurrence and decided to pass it on by without a mention here, because who gives a shit. DeGroot’s recounting, though, is so sidesplittingly funny I just couldn’t shine it on. He uses this shitshow as a waystation on his way to making a larger, even funnier point, and the whole thing is a scream.

Boiling it down, bringing it home

For some reason, don’t know why, Breitbart decided to split these tasty quotes addressing the Cod Squad dustup from Stephen Miller’s Fox News Sunday appearance into separate posts: here, here, and here. I’m gonna take the liberty of combining them all here for y’all.

Miller said, “Let me just cut to the heart of the issue. These four congresswomen detest America as it exists, as it is currently constructed. They want to tear down the structure of our country. They want us to be a socialist, open borders country. If you, as Donald Trump says, want to destroy America with open borders, you cannot see you love your country. If you attack border agents the way Ocasio-Cortez has it means you have a deep-seated hatred of the nation as it exists. That’s why you want to erase its borders, fundamentally transform the country and in the process it doesn’t matter if American citizens lose their jobs, lose their homes, lose their livelihoods, lose their health coverage and lose their very lives.”

He added, “There’s a gigantic, enormous distinction between Donald Trump saying I’m going to get on the world stage and put America first in every single thing we do versus a view that says America should never come first and American citizens should never come first, which is their view, and that’s what we are going to take to the ballot box.”

Wallace: Why is what those congresswomen have said in general any worse than what you just heard Donald Trump say — President Obama is ignorant, this country is ‘killers,’ on and on?

Miller: It’s a great question. So I want to drill down on it because it’s really the heart of the debate that we are having in this country right now. Anybody who is running for office —  right, left, or center, — always point out where they think America can do better, where America needs to go but there’s a fundamental distinction between people who think that we need to lean into and strengthen America’s core values — whether it be our constitutional values, the rule of law, the principles of western civilization — or people who think that we basically need to turn America into Venezuela.

Miller said, “I think the term racist, has become a label that is too often deployed by left Democrats in this country simply to try to silence and punish and suppress people they disagree with, speech that they don’t want to hear. The reality is that this president has been a president for all Americans, whether you look at historically low black unemployment rates, historically low Spanish unemployment rates. Or what he’s doing on immigration truths protect safety, security, rising wages for all American citizens.”

He continued, “I fundamentally disagree with the view that if you criticize someone and they happen to be a different color skin that that makes it a racial criticism.”

Nothing but the truth, flatly and simply stated, without a trace of rancor, hyperbole, or misdirection. Only rarely do you get such plainspoken candor from a political operative—on any TeeWee news show, about any topic, from either Uniparty wing. Bravo, sir, and nice job.

A tale of two countries

Tell me again all about who’s the party of the rich and who’s the party of the working stiff, whydon’tcha.

Providing free health care for illegal aliens at taxpayer expense may not be very popular nationwide, but is commonplace in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Boston. Gun control is a loser nationwide, but a sure thing in the big blue cities. Even proposals to take away private health plans, allow rapists and terrorists to vote from prison, and open the border pick up more support there.

The 2020 Democrats aren’t speaking to Americans as a whole.

That’s because they hate them, and no longer care if Real Americans know it.

Instead they’re addressing wealthy donors from 6 major cities, and some of their satellite areas, whose money they need to be able to buy teams, ads and consultants to help them win in places like New Hampshire and Iowa.

New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles show up in the top 5 donor cities for most of the top 2020 candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg. Boston shows up in the top 10, not only for Bernie and Warren, but for Kamala and Buttigieg. Seattle appears in the top 10 for Bernie, Warren, and Buttigieg. Washington D.C. features in the top 10 for Bernie, Booker, Warren, Kamala, and Buttigieg. And the rest of America doesn’t really matter.

Not if you’re a Democrat.

Beyond the regional geography, there is a political and industrial geography shaping the 2020 field with New York City and Berkeley employees funding the candidacy of a Vermont socialist and the employees of public and private universities (but either way heavily subsidized by taxpayers) across the country funding the rise of a Massachusetts socialist with an academic background.

By contrast, Trump is the only 2020 candidate whose top 5 donor groups don’t contain a single big data firm, but do contain employees of the United States Army and the Department of Defense. He’s also the only candidate whose top donor groups contain multiple branches of the military, the Army, Navy, and Air Force (Space Force still pending), but not a single college or FAANG tech monstrosity.

In contrast to the 2020 Dems, there isn’t a single law firm, but there are several manufacturing firms. Meanwhile not a single of the top 2020 Dems appears to have a manufacturing donor base.

The sharp contrast between Googlers and steelworkers, between professors and soldiers, draws a truer picture of the clash of cultures between the Democrats and Republicans, lefties and righties in America.

The 2020 election will come down to the question of whether six influential blue cities will be able to buy the election and dictate their politics to the country, whether the big tech firms and professors will be able to drown out the sailors and steelworkers, or whether the rest of the nation will be heard.

Which is all you really need to know to explain both why they want open borders and to do away with the Electoral College. Trump having done such a bang-up job of exposing their flimsy pretense to patriotism, moderation, and sanity as a complete sham, they’ve decided to abandon Joe Sixpack and import an impoverished, illiterate, America-hating, Third World dependent class which is much more likely to return them to power instead. Poor ol’ Joe’s stubborn insistence on bitterly clinging to his guns, his religion, his freedom of speech, and his flag-waving IslamohomotransFeminaziphobia was taxing their patience with him anyway.

Wrong, righted

What the heck, why not.

HOUSTON, TX—As a tribute to the 50th anniversary of its fake moon landing, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has announced a reboot of the staged event that fooled billions worldwide, only this time featuring an all-female crew.

NASA officials confirm they will release a shot-for-shot remake of the meticulously concocted phony moon landing, originally filmed at an undisclosed soundstage 50 years ago this week. The rejuvenated hoax will follow in the footsteps of other recent all-female reboots like Ghostbusters and Ocean’s 8.

So, an unwatchable flop, then.

Rumors claim the part of Neil Armstrong will be played by Scarlett Johansson, with Melissa McCarthy acting in the role of Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin. The Michael Collins character will be portrayed by Dame Judi Dench.

According to sources, the only change in the script is a more inclusive update to Armstrong’s famous words when setting foot on the moon, which will be replaced with the line “That’s one small step for a woman, one giant leap for womankind, mankind, transgenderkind, genderfluidkind, and otherkin.”

Hey, you forgot to include the Muzzrats, RACIST!™

“No One Really Wants to ‘Send Her Back’”

Like hell I don’t.

All good populist demagoguery needs a villain. President Trump hardly has the market cornered on this. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton studied Alinskyite community organizing. The organizer, a self-styled renegade against The Establishment, is instructed to avoid abstractions when picking an opposition target. You’ve got to make it personal, to polarize the adversary in stark terms. Trump’s persona is to hit back harder than he is hit. No surprise, then, that he is a practitioner of this demagogic art, since he is also the Left’s No. 1 target.

Most Republican villains the Left selects (the Bushes, Mitt Romney…) respond by trying to prove they’re not really villains. This is a futile strategy. The demagogues making the accusation already know it’s not true. They do it because it always works. Or at least it used to. It’s different with the president, who is from the Leo Durocher School: “I come to play. I come to beat you. I come to kill you!” Trump vexes the Left because he revels in the mud wrestle. Sure, he craves admiration, but he wants to win more, and he doesn’t in the slightest mind winning ugly. In that the Left must see a lot of itself, but that doesn’t mean it has figured out an effective response.

Overall, this Andrew McCarthy column is good, as is usual, and I don’t disagree with most of it. But I can’t say the same about the headline, nor the point he makes towards the end about not taking the “send her home” chants too seriously. I consider packing her off to her true home to be no more than she deserves; let her revile America from there, if the daily struggle for survival in that hellish shithole will allow her the spare time for it. I assure one and all that I am just fine with sending her back. Although if a DA can be found in Minnesota or DC willing to prosecute her ass for her serial criminal offenses, I’m good with packing her off to a Stateside hoosegow for a long stretch, too.

Literally Hitler crashes the party

You gotta love the guy.

Trump crashes MAGA-themed wedding, prompting ‘USA’ chants
President Trump made a guest appearance at a wedding at his Bedminster, NJ, golf resort on Saturday that left the bride and groom chanting “USA! USA!”

The president, who’s spending the weekend at the resort, walked into the wedding reception for Nicole Marie and PJ Mongelli, according to video of the event.

As the crowed roared and turned their phone’s cameras on the president, he motioned for the couple to come to him.

Trump, wearing a dark suit without a tie, put his arms around the two as they took part in the “USA” chants, thrusting their arms in the air.

What a rude, offensive, obnoxious boor this slob is, eh? HE MUST BE IMPEACHED IMMEDIATELY.

Via Insty, who, referring to Rancid Rashida’s 2016 psychotic break, asks: “WHO’S HAVING MORE FUN?” Ahh, but never forget Mike’s Iron Law: when Democrat-Socialists are unhappy, it means good things are happening for Real Americans.

NUTS!

Referring to the bughouse variety, not General McAuliffe’s famous quip.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) has been in the news a lot recently. She is one of the most vocal progressive new Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives and an outspoken enemy of the great state of Israel. She’s also a member of the so-called “Squad”: the four Democratic congresswomen — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley — who have made a name for themselves insulting President Trump, Israel, and the American people.

Although her earlier remarks about the holocaust made it clear that she is a radical leftwing activist, Tlaib always hid that aggressive activism behind a veneer of respectability. Now, footage has emerged of her being forcibly removed from a 2016 Donald Trump event in Detroit because she completely lost it. No, that is not an exaggeration.

Overnight, this video has gone viral on Twitter. The reason, of course, is that it proves once and for all that Tlaib truly is nothing more or less than a radical left-wing activist, fueled by hatred and anger for those who dare disagree with her.

Was there ever the slightest doubt? More importantly, is anyone still kidding themselves that there’s a meaningful distinction to be made betwixt this particular gibbering headcase and any other Democrat-Socialist?

Tyranny comes in all sizes, shapes, and colors

And it does NOT emanate exclusively from FederalGovCo, either.

1. Happy hours are illegal
Happy hour specials can only be offered for ‘food.’ Yeah, mind blown? Me too.

2. You can get a DWI on a horse
Good, because my favorite bar has seriously scarce horse parking. Other ways to get a DWI-tractor, bicycle, electronic scooter.

There are more of these at the link, yet more on the books, and they’re rarely if ever enforced. And yeah, they’re all pretty silly at one level. But frivolous and amusing though we might find them, they also have to raise a more serious question in the mind of anyone possessed of an ounce of self-honesty, namely: in a country forever congratulating itself on how “free” it supposedly is, how the hell does legislation this intrusive and meddlesome ever get passed into law in the first place?

Now, it is definitely true that North Carolina is a very liberal state, and always has been. NC has elected but one (1) Republican governor in the last, oh, I dunno, six hundred years or so, and that was the execrable Pat McCrory—who, despite the phony blandishments he pukes up on his local radio show, is about as faux-conservative as faux-conservative professional politicians get. And yeah, no state or even local government is anything like perfect. The states particularly, in their role as the Laboratories Of Democracy, are more or less allowed to flout the Constitution’s limitations (ahem) on the federal gummint, which they do to a fairly alarming degree. I get all that, I really, really do.

But still. Y’all know I become nettlesome every year, as the 4th of July approaches, at the sudden sprouting of all the huge tents in every shopping center parking lot offering fireworks for sale, exhorting all and sundry to “Celebrate freedom!” during the one fucking week every year that selling the damned things is legally allowed. And at that, the fireworks they sell aren’t anything to get excited about: sparklers, snap-n-pops, and wet-fart little ‘crackers, that’s it. No M80s, no cherry bombs. No bottle rockets, repeaters, arrowheads, Roman candles, and such-like. Too, too dangerous, you see. Plus, there’s always the awful risk of some unreconstructed, RACIST!™ old-timer laying the Roman candle on its side in the gutter and referring to it by its primordial-joke name—”nigger chaser”—thereby corrupting the youth, spooking the horses, and causing the wimmen to faint dead away from the rude shock of it.

“Legally allowed” to celebrate Independence Day with otherwise-illegal fireworks? Bosh, I say. The mere utterance of the phrase “legally allowed” ought to automatically stoke the ire of every red-blooded American still extant—however many of those there might be left—just as a matter of principle; its very existence should be considered an affront, its now-omnipresent application a call to arms, the moral equivalent of a war-tocsin being struck. No happy hour? No rollerblading in the sun? No riding a bicycle one-handed? Horseback DUIs, all the other tyrannical tommyrot from the article, and so very much more, not just here in the Tarheel State but everywhere across the fruited plain? In (what was once) America?

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, people?

Bad news for Democrats=good news for Americans

No exception to the rule.

Under President Trump, America has maintained the lowest unemployment rate in nearly 50 years, there are more jobs opportunities than there are people to fill them, wages are steadily rising, and American optimism has returned. Not to mention, he is bringing jobs back to America, ensuring free and fair trade by holding countries like China accountable for predatory practices, and renewing American strength with tough negotiating tactics and the promise to put America first.

According to Democrats, America is worse off than it has ever been. While President Trump does right by the American people in his pursuit of economic prosperity, immigration reform, affordable education  and so on, Democrats continue to run further left maintaining a “world is burning” ideology. Their proposed solution? Socialism.

Pro-growth, pro-jobs, and pro-American policies don’t work for Democrats. Instead, they aim to manipulate voters under the guise of progress with proposals like “Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and free higher education without ever addressing the real cost beyond dollars and cents.

No one is going to argue that people should have access to education and health care, but when all of these institutions become government run, do you trust your government to make decisions for you?

Capitalism and the free-market system have allowed for a better life for all Americans with wage increases, better job opportunities, and record low unemployment, yet the embrace of socialism by leftist politicians and many in the media only continues to amplify.

Raising the eternal question: are they stupid, or just evil? The healing power of “and”: embrace it we must!

Accepting and implementing socialist proposals like these would welcome the heavy hand of government into every American’s life and into every American’s wallet. The reality of the proposal is that America’s energy industry would be destroyed, our economy would be depleted, and jobs would be lost.

Features. Not bugs. The nut of it:

Socialism is not a representation of progress; rather it is creeping government takeover. Socialism is not about equal opportunity and lifting Americans out of poverty, it is about the liberal elites in Washington having the power to oversee everything from our methods of transportation and energy to our education and access to health care.

By George, I think she’s got it! S’truth: Democrat-Socialists are interested in nothing but power—absolute, unchallenged, and limitless power.

As confirmed Cloward-Piven devotees, Demonrats have no choice but to root for failure, decline, and malaise. This will lead to the swamping and eventual breakdown of the US system of Constitutionally limited government, damaged and distorted as it already is, and its replacement with a socialist/Marxist one. And that, in turn, guarantees for them the ultimate goal: unrestrained, ever-increasing power, over every last American’s every least action, decision, or thought.

Some of us seem shocked or bewildered by the Democrat-Socialists’ undisguised dismay over American success and prosperity. We shouldn’t be. American catastrophe is an unavoidable prerequisite for their return to the power they so maniacally crave. The misery suffered by their constituents because of widespread unemployment, impoverishment, and despair concerns them not at all. All a skeptic has to do is pay close attention to their words and actions to remove all doubt and confirm the disgusting truth about them.

Believe it: this is what the Democrat-Socialist Party, so far removed from what it was as late as JFK’s day, has now become. This is who they are, this is what they do. Any statement they make professing to care about your, your family’s, or your community’s welfare is a self-serving lie, offered not to comfort or inform but to deceive. They hold you in contempt, on such occasions when they give you a moment’s thought at all. Their intentions towards you are not benign; at best, they wish to avoid or ignore you to whatever extent they may, insulating themselves from any contact with you except when it’s time to fly back to their “home” district and gain your support in their umpteenth re-election campaign via obsequious flattery, oleaginous charm, and false promises. After victory, they will scurry back to their natural habitat in the verminous DC swamp with utmost alacrity, relieved at not having suffered the intolerable indignity of a return to the ranks of their knavish countrymen. And the cycle begins again.

No, most professional politicians are NOT nice people, and modern Democrat-Socialists are currently the worst specimens of the misbegotten breed. They are neither kind nor good nor decent nor honorable. They are the most noisome phlegm-wads humanity can hawk up, bottom-feeding parasites crawling around underneath the filthiest, most fly-blown compost heap imaginable. Tapeworms would find comparison with them insulting. Contract murderers would disdain their society. Junkie street-whores would feel queasy at the unwelcome prospect of shaking their hand; their pimps would cross the street to elude them, not wishing to sully their reputations by even momentary association with them.

Whenever Democrat-Socialists are shrieking, weeping, or kvetching, the rest of us should be smiling. Their unhappiness is confirmation that somewhere, something has gone right.

Viva A/C!

Another anniversary we should celebrate, folks—of possibly a more momentous and society-altering stroke of pure brilliance than the moon shot wound up being.

In July of 1902, an engineer named Willis Carrier designed the world’s first modern air conditioning system. The design was to cut the humidity level at the Sackett & Wilhelms printing plant in Brooklyn, New York.

“It was so hot that summer that the ink would not stick to the paper. It was too humid,” said Rackley. “So he developed a device that would pass air over coils that were cooled by a refrigerant, I guess it was called water then, that pulled the moisture out of the air and they were able to print.”

There was a happy side effect from that design. The temperature inside the factory became more pleasant and pretty soon, they were installed at other factories and businesses.

“When it first came out, movie theaters are where folks would show up,” said Rackley. “You would go to the movies not only to watch a movie but to stay cool. It was dark and cold. You could sit comfortably and get out of the heat.”

It would be years before homes had air conditioning but when it did, there was no going back!

Ahh, but that’s precisely what the Green-weenie Ecotards would force us to do, in the name of stopping Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly “the weather”). Then again, they feel that way about pretty much everything that represents true progress, and makes modern life less brutal and more bearable. As Glenn says, air conditioning is a triumph of Western civilization…which is all the more reason for Proggy to hate it.

Historical greatness

Gerard has several great posts commemorating the Apollo 11 moon landing (link to the main page, just scroll) over at his joint—along with one on an anniversary of a rather more sordid, horrific, and disgusting sort—with links to other essays and lots of inspiring photos. This one is my personal fave:

After the 1972 conclusion of the Apollo program, a group of about 30 NASA thoughtleaders sequestered themselves for a few days on Caltech’s sunny campus. They reviewed what they had accomplished and tried to grapple with exactly how they had pulled off the challenge of the century: landing humans on the lunar surface and returning them safely to Earth on an absurd deadline.

Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon, attended most of their sessions in relative silence. While known to be quiet, he was never what someone would call shrinking or invisible. His thoughtful presence carried significant weight in any meeting. Armstrong was not a typical test pilot turned astronaut. “I am, and ever will be,” he once said, “a white-socks, pocket-protector, nerdy engineer.”

After everyone else had finished speaking at the Caltech gathering, Armstrong calmly rose and went to a chalkboard. He drew four bell-type curves, spaced slightly apart, and labeled them: Leadership, Threat, Economy and Talent. And he said to the room, “My thought is, when you get all these lined up, you can’t stop something really big from happening.” Indeed, the early 1960s had it all: a bold (and in some ways, desperate) president; the threat of the Soviet Union; flush federal coffers; and an unprecedented number of college-educated youngsters. When the curves aligned, Armstrong suggested that an Apollo could rise. According to Gerry Griffin, engineer, flight director and eventual director of the Johnson Space Center, everyone in the room was nodding in agreement, as if to say “Of course, that’s it.”

The analysis of rarely aligned curves can help explain why we haven’t yet sent humans back into the cosmos. But four peaks fail to fully capture the miracle: 400,000 souls uniting in peacetime on a project so ambitious as to appear ludicrous. As humanity makes ample noise about restarting these journeys to other worlds, it’s worth looking under Apollo’s hood and asking the surviving engineers how they did it. Based on scores of recent interviews, their most frequent and fervent responses follow.

All of them fascinating, I assure you. Meanwhile, Steyn ponders our sad inability to repeat the feat, much less outdo it:

When After America came out, I was booked on “Fox & Friends” to talk it over with Brian Kilmeade. Sitting next to Brian on the couch waiting to get going, I watched Steve Doocy across the studio link to an item on the space shuttle Enterprise beginning its journey to whichever museum it’s wound up at. Steve called it “historic”, and, as I remarked to Brian, pity the nation whose greatness becomes “historic” – whose spacecraft exist only in museums. There’s a passage in After America on just that theme:

In 1961, before the eyes of the world, President Kennedy had set American ingenuity a very specific challenge—and put a clock on it:

‘This nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.’

That’s it. No wiggle room. A monkey on the moon wouldn’t count, nor an unmanned drone, nor a dune buggy that can’t take off again but transmits grainy footage back to Houston as it rusts up in the crater it came to rest in. The only way to win the bet is with a real-live actual American standing on the surface of the moon planting the Stars and Stripes. Even as it happened, the White House was so cautious that William Safire wrote President Nixon a speech to be delivered in the event of disaster:

‘Fate has ordained that the men who went to the moon to explore in peace will stay on the moon to rest in peace…’

Yet America did it.

It was not a sure thing. In 1961 the Soviets had it all over the Americans in the space race: They had already reached the moon, with the unmanned flight Luna 2, and they had put a man in space, Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin and the cosmonauts were inspirational figures well beyond the Warsaw Pact. By contrast, all the US unmanned missions had been failures, and their astronauts were earthbound – or sub-orbital at best. Kennedy was cautioned against his moon speech on the grounds that he was setting America up for very public humiliation.

But he chose to go ahead.

And now? From After America:

Four decades later, Bruce Charlton, professor of Theoretical Medicine at the University of Buckingham in England, wrote that “that landing of men on the moon and bringing them back alive was the supreme achieve- ment of human capability, the most difficult problem ever solved by humans.” That’s a good way to look at it: the political class presented the boffins with a highly difficult and specific problem, and they solved it—in eight years. Charlton continued:

‘Forty years ago, we could do it—repeatedly—but since then we have not been to the moon, and I suggest the real reason we have not been to the moon since 1972 is that we cannot any longer do it. Humans have lost the capability.

‘Of course, the standard line is that humans stopped going to the moon only because we no longer wanted to go to the moon, or could not afford to, or something…But I am suggesting that all this is BS…I suspect that human capability reached its peak or plateau around 1965-75—at the time of the Apollo moon landings—and has been declining ever since.’

Can that be true? Charlton is a controversialist gadfly in British academe, but, comparing 1950 to the early twenty-first century, our time traveler from 1890 might well agree with him. And, if you think about it, isn’t it kind of hard even to imagine America pulling off a moon mission now? The countdown, the takeoff, a camera transmitting real-time footage of a young American standing in a dusty crater beyond our planet blasting out from his iPod Lady Gaga and the Black-Eyed Peas or whatever the twenty- first-century version of Sinatra and the Basie band is…It half-lingers in collective consciousness as a memory of faded grandeur, the way a nineteenth-century date farmer in Nasiriyah might be dimly aware that the Great Ziggurat of Ur used to be around here someplace.

How long will it even half-linger? Great civilizations can survive a lot of things, but not impoverishment of spirit. That’s one reason I didn’t join in the media sniggers at Donald Trump’s new Space Force – because I’d like it to be true.

Agreed on that one. But I have an idea of at least one contributing factor in our descent into paralyzed decline:

Phil Plait has mixed feelings about the moon-landing hoax.

Plait — known as “The Bad Astronomer” to his many thousands of readers on Syfy — told Space.com he is frustrated that he and others like him still have to debunk the hoax theory from time to time, 50 years after the first moon landing. Then again, Plait became famous because he’s so good at debunking in the first place.

Back in February 2001, Fox Broadcasting ran a documentary titled “Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?” Plait coincidentally had a pile of research ready from a book he was working on, and a friend sent him an advance copy of the show so that he had time to write up a response.

I kind of wish it had never aired,” Plait said about the Fox documentary, “because it opened a huge Pandora’s box. On the other hand, it’s exposing a wound to sunlight. That thing was there anyway, festering. Let it get out to the public, and let it heal, and let it kill the infection. But yeah, it’s troubling. Just to know that if Fox hadn’t aired that, who knows what my career path would have been.”

Like the 9/11-hoax conspiracies, the old “fake moon landing” crap is so stupid it’s embarrassing to sensible people. I mean, come ON: a conspiracy involving not just a handful but tens, even hundreds of thousands of participants…not one of whom ever utters a single syllable exposing it for the rest of their lives? Occam’s Razor alone makes mincemeat of such arrant lunacy. Throw in the idea of the US government being competent enough to pull such a hoax off, then keep it concealed LITERALLY FORFUCKINGEVER, in spite of an Everest of evidence to the contrary in front of our faces every single day, and…well, buy into it if you want. I’ll just be over here quietly laughing at your dumb ass, that’s all.

Anyways, the article toodles along smoothly until this bit, which is what led me to make that “contributing factor” crack earlier:

Plait said there is a danger in talking about the moon-landing conspiracy and other clearly debunked conspiracies like it, such as vaccines causing autism or humans not being responsible for climate change.

Oh, jeez. So here we have an obviously smart fella, a scientist of some type, capable of debunking several other hoaxes and conspiracy theories…and yet he’s fallen for the most pernicious one of the modern era.

I just can’t even. If this guy is any indicator of how intelligence and competence have atrophied, soon enough we won’t even be able to tie our own shoes—much less rediscover the ability to design, build, and successfully launch rockets—and any exploration of space we do will be limited by the effort not to drool on ourselves when we look skyward at night.

Update! Aesop tells the NYT/SJW/PS crowd to suck a fat one.

It upsets them ’cause it’s true.

“Fit in or F*ck off. I’ll help you pack your bags”

Thomas Kendall gives Trump an assist with calling the Cod Squad on their bullshit.

Since the Democratic party is suddenly the party of open borders, I feel like it’s maybe important to the discussion that three of their battiest socialist yahoos are, in fact, from immigrant families. For those who are behind on the issue, the Democrats want unchecked illegal immigration because… supposedly… it’s fair and just that we let literally anybody who shows up at the border become an American. All they need to do is come from, oh, what’s a good term for it…  a shithole. Their home country has to suck. That’s the only qualification. Which really means, given our neighbors, that if they have a pulse and can cross the border, then they’re just as American as the next person. Probably that border will be the Southern border that you might recall we’d asked for a wall across, mostly for this exact reason (Because somehow I doubt the impoverished masses of Canadians are straining to come down here? Not until they need timely medical treatment, anyway.). If you question the wisdom of letting all comers in, you’re wrong because… ah, I just got the argument back from the professional logicians… ahem…  “shut up racist”. I hope that clears things up.

Now hang on! Just look at all the societal benefits to be reaped from this policy. After all, the proof is in the pudding, right? Why, look at these three American success stories, every one of them from, I think we agreed, an immigrant family. And every one of them is a vitriolic, America-hating, openly socialist, race-baiting pain-in-the-ever-loving-ass. Just imagine how many more families just like theirs we could bring in with an open-borders policy that had an even lower bar for… say, where are you going? Come back, damn it! Diversity is our strength, I tell you!

So, genuine question… why shouldn’t we call them on their bullshit? Somalia and Puerto Rico are shitholes. So are the pieces of land around Israel still occupied by “Palestinians”. Two of those are occasionally explosive shitholes, arguably the worst kind. Their families came from places that are objectively worse, compared to the United States. But, uh, boy, you’d never know it listening to them. They sure have a lot of problems with us, considering. Why the Hell should we suffer in silence while these wanna-be commies back-seat drive our government?

We damned well shouldn’t; in fact, we damned well mustn’t. And since Trump is the guy we elected specifically to front for us on this sort of thing, that goes double for him whenever aspirational revolutionaries with more gall than grey matter start popping off about the finer points of Commie shitrapies and grumbling about how our country just generally gives them the pip.

By all means, languish not in this intolerable Hellhole, ladies. The rolling sands of Mogadishu await. Well, await one of you at any rate. But AOC and Tlaib can take the long way round, assuming they survive landing in Mogadishu. Call it girl’s night out (of the country). If you aren’t just here to try to crawl to the top, institute radical redistributionist schemes, and then mysteriously have a lot of the wealth redistributed to you in the process of it being passed around “fairly”, the places your families ran from are available. Send us a post-card. You may need to institute a functioning postal system first, but damn it, I believe in you. If those countries won’t do, there are also dozens of countries where people have already crawled to the top, instituted radical redistributionist schemes, and mysteriously had a lot of that wealth redistributed to themselves, and… I can’t help noticing… they are also mainly shitholes. There would be a lesson there for you three, but I’m not sure I can break it down into the requisite monosyllabic words. I’d have to maybe find a way to express half a syllable in AOC’s case, which explains a lot about her, really.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. What will we do without you? Well, don’t worry. Brace for life-changing news as I reveal this— we don’t need you three. And we don’t particularly need any more like you three. We can find probably about a billion people just as stupid and un-American right outside [or inside] the border. In fact that’s kind of the problem (Or…  as the traitorous elements of the Democratic party that see non-functioning borders as their own personal ticket to dissolve the people, elect another, and crawl to the top to yadda, yadda, yadda, would call it…  the opportunity). Frankly I’m not sure any nation needs vacuous anti-nationalist Marxism-gargling moppets clogging its political houses, but we especially don’t. Yes we know you hate the wallpaper and the stuffing is too dry for your tastes. Enough. Pick another country to annoy already, would you? I hear France is… used to be nice this time of year.

Not that the “squad” has nothing useful to tell us about immigration, mind you. Just one day reading the news tells you, the immigration system that let their families in? Too. Lax. By all means, let’s finally start talking about how to let in people who actually like America, not just people who want to loot America. We deserve patriots, not pirates.

DAMNED skippy, Thomas. Not only couldn’t I have said it better myself, I can’t think of anyone right offhand who could. Why, of course you’ll want to read it all; why do you ask?

Via Gerard, who has some other good stuff I’m gonna be putting up here in a trice.

Four-stage death roll

Paraphrasing Walter Cronkite: the thought of your kids on Communism oughta scaaaare yuh to death.

We Americans are currently in a civilizational state historians William Strauss and Neil Howe would call the “Third Turning”: an unraveling. The so-called Left is making it happen, too, with conservatives enabling it by conserving yesterday’s liberalism and being those nice guys who finish last.

In Marxist circles, this stage would be called “destabilization” — the second of a four-part process to subvert a society and seize control. The first, third, and fourth stages are, respectively, “demoralization,” “crisis,” and “normalization.”

The demoralization stage, which essentially is the undermining of a target nation’s morality (the process of radically changing the population’s “values”), was actually “over-fulfilled” in the mid-1980s already, as Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov put it at the time. This process continues and is manifested in the widespread antipathy for sexual propriety, faith, and all that is great and good — and in the lust for perversion, socialism, feminism, multiculturalism, “transgenderism,” and anti-Americanism in general. We see it in the tearing down of statues; removal of long present Christian symbols; leftist propaganda and decadence in schools and entertainment;, prioritizing of illegal aliens over citizens; revising of American history and impugning of whites; and in attacks on the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, and all things traditional.

This destabilization of the American mind and moral compass now has begotten, as it must, societal destabilization. This is reflected in, most obviously, the flooding of our nation with unassimilable foreigners via a purposely porous border. This serves the Cloward-Piven goal of overloading the system to cause breakdown, necessitating replacement of it with, the theory goes, a socialist one.

Of course, this human flood strains schools, hospitals, and services and resources in general. But it’s also used for propaganda purposes, with simple efforts to enforce immigration law — ones pursued by Barack Obama himself — used to demonize ICE agents and the current administration. Vile, divisive lies such as claiming that detention facilities are Nazi-like “concentration camps” lead to hatred, violence, protests, and terrorist attacks such as Saturday’s assault on a Tacoma, Washington ICE facility.

This is part of the greater destabilization represented by physical attacks on, threats against, and censorship of the Left’s political opposition, phenomena now being encouraged by media and facilitated by Big Tech as left-wing politicians and law enforcement turn a blind eye. Why not? This all serves to quash their political opposition.

Should this continue in both duration and increasing severity, we will eventually be brought to the “crisis” state, a relatively short stage in which there’s a revolutionary change of power.

All of this is already quite familiar to anybody with functioning synapses, which makes it sobering stuff indeed. Just don’t call ’em Marxists.

To be clear, I don’t say those fomenting this are “Marxists.” Doctrinaire Marxism is, well, so yesterday. Leftists epitomize the moral relativism imbuing our age and, as such, worship the Gods of the Shifting Goalposts. Oh, they’re not better than Marxists (they may be worse), but they have made a lateral move in lunacy. Today they’re sort of like the Marquis de Sade meets Stalin and the Stasi.

Well, I dunno about all that, now. There’s an ongoing debate in various places—mostly Right-leaning ones; the Left doesn’t care what you call ’em, so long as you submit to and obey them— about the usefulness, accuracy, and relevance of terms like “liberal,” “conservative,” “Right,” “Left,” et al for a few years now. It all seems like splitting the hairs a scoche too fine to me. Whatever your nomenclature of preference is, it’s plain enough where the battle lines are drawn; getting bogged down in semantics at this late date seems worse than a waste of time that could better be spent zeroing rifles and loading mags.

Mo’ bettah busted

Even her name is a lie.

Please read the verified evidence below — and read it alongside the three years of verified evidence published by Scott Johnson, Preya Samsundar, and myself (our work is linked here). The answers to those questions about 2009 appear to give probable cause to investigate Omar for eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud, and even bigamy.

To be clear: The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.

The preceding information was given to me by multiple sources within the Minneapolis Somali community. The verifiable evidence corroborating their information follows below:

In 1995, Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the “Omar” family.

That is not her family. The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.

Ilhan’s genetic family split up at this time. The above three received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom.

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar’s name, before applying for asylum, was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.

Enough already. She is a grifter, a fraud, an America-hating agitprop artist who conned her way here under false pretenses. She is as crooked as they come, from a family whose corruption is nothing short of staggering. As with every swindler and his marks, she harbors only contempt for the nation whose misguided largesse she takes for granted, whose generosity she abuses. She has no right to be here; Americans have no obligation to indulge her myriad pathologies, nor to endure her endless, outrageous vituperation. She has broken our laws, many times over. Her presence in Congress defiles our institutions—which, given their already-tarnished state, is saying something indeed.

She is a an ingrate, a liar, a reprobate. She contributes nothing of value to our government, our traditions, our politics, or our people; her arrogance, her grotesque sense of entitlement, render her incapable of anything other than taking without thankfulness, constantly demanding more, and considering these undeserved gifts not a blessing but her due. She is entirely despicable. Send. Her. Back.

Steinberg and his colleagues at Powerline have done a mighty work indeed with the investigation that culminates in the above-linked and -quoted piece exposing Ilhan Elmi for the vile, rancid pustule she really is, and my cap is most humbly doffed to them for their efforts.

Cry wolf

When excessive or reckless use robs an epithet of its meaning, it loses its impact too.

Once upon a time in the world of cable news, a guest or host or anchor calling anyone a racist would have considerable impact.

From what we’ve seen this week, when it comes to that word, those days are long gone. A person simply can’t turn on the news or scroll Twitterfor even more than a minute before hearing the word “racist” or “racism.”

For example, CNN and MSNBC said the word “racist” more than 1,100 times from Sunday to Tuesday, according to a tally conducted by Grabien Media, an online media production and news prep service.

The count, which doesn’t include on-screen graphics commonly known as chyrons, came two days after President Trump in a Sunday tweet said four Democratic congresswomen should “go back” to their home countries.

The president, and his GOP allies on Capitol Hill, have underscored that his argument is simply an ideological one based on the four congresswomen, dubbed “the squad.” What he argues is their collective embrace of pro-socialism and therefore anti-American, anti-Israeli anti-Semitic polices.

Some critics in the media and on the Democratic side, along with a handful of Republicans, argue the opposite: The president’s comments about the squad are naked racism. He’s a fascist. He’s mentally unstable. He’s a 21st-century Hitler. In this insane climate, this kind of rhetoric is all perfectly acceptable — and has existed since Trump announced his candidacy.

Hm. This writer must be a younger fella, not around long enough to remember how, say, Reagan was savaged in the not-so-distant past. Perhaps the tone has become more shrill, the hysteria and desperation more attenuated, as the Left’s grip on power has loosened a bit, the relative moderates swamped by the lunatic fringe. But the dishonesty, lust for power, and visceral hatred are all old news. Which brings us to this:

U.S.—Many on the left are extremely concerned with the racist behavior of President Trump, especially with recent remarks telling non-white citizens to “go back” where they came from, and are trying to raise the alarm bells about how harmful that behavior is. The problem is, no one seems to be paying them any attention, despite the fact that they’re very experienced in warning people about racism, since they’ve done it about absolutely everything for decades straight.

“I don’t know what’s going on,” said left-wing activist Ryan Weber. “Every day for years and years we’ve been yelling about racist things, from words to symbols to holidays to breakfast cereals to every single Republican ever, and we just assumed everyone was carefully taking notes every time we spoke up, but it seems like no one was paying attention at all.”

Gee, imagine that. Might wanna ask the boy who cried wolf about it, Progtards.

Facts is facts

STOP CONFUSING ME WITH REALITY, DAMN YOU.

Segregating the sexes in sports is not unfair to women—if anything, it’s exceedingly kind.

But equality is a hill that many true believers are willing to die on, no matter how foolish it makes them look.

In a 2017 article for The Guardian, professional female golfer Anya Alvarez concedes the undeniable fact that men “are stronger than women” and that their average golf swing is about 18MPH faster than the female average. She says that despite these male advantages, “suggesting that makes females lesser athletes is ridiculous.” Then she compares the stats of select female pro golfers against that of select male pro golfers without stating where they stand in the rankings of their respective genders.

But in 2003 when Annika Sorenstam—widely acknowledged as one of the all-time great female golfers—competed in a gender-blind tournament against men, she ranked 96th out of 113 competitors.

An article in Duke Law examines track and field events for 2017 and cites how many times that year’s world-best performance for women was bested by boys under 18. There wasn’t a single event in which the best woman in the world wasn’t bested by at least 10 under-18 boys; in the 400-meter dash, 285 boys outperformed the world’s fastest woman.

When compared to adult males, it looked even worst for the gals: In 2017 alone, the best woman’s result in the 100-meter dash was beaten over 10,000 times by men; in the 800-meter race, men outperformed the best woman’s time in the world nearly 14,000 times.

When it comes to men’s and women’s power-lifting world records, the listing for actual world records doesn’t even specify men because it’s assumed that men hold every record; it simply says “World Records.” The male record for squats is 542 pounds heavier than the female record. The pattern persists throughout all categories: It’s 415 pounds heavier for deadlifts, 298 pounds for bench presses, and 810 pounds for one person’s totals in all categories combined. In three of the four women’s categories, the world champeen is an American named April Mathis.

April Mathis was born a man and still looks like one, complete with the pattern baldness. So the best “female” weightlifter of all time is actually a man.

If you’re truly concerned about being fair to women, you should forbid male-to-female trannies from competing against them in sports.

I might be concerned about being fair to women, but I am not in the least concerned about being fair to “feminist” Leftards. Since the current ludicrous chaos is but the inevitable end-stage of Proggy’s relentless and destructive campaign to undermine families, muddle traditional sex roles and relations between them, and distort the very idea of gender itself, I want it all crammed right down “feminist” throats, just as far as it will go. I want to see them forced to abide by the spurious assertions of total, no-difference equality between the sexes they’ve been promoting for decades.

Their own toxic ideology disallows any distinction between male, female, transgender, or Other; in fact, it precludes the existence of “womens’ sports” in the first place. Fine, then. If it’s true that a “transgender woman” athlete must be acknowledged as being nothing less than a real, true woman, then zhym must be allowed to participate in xhyr’s chosen sport as one.

The original leaders of the “feminist” movement, some of them anyway, allowed themselves to be seduced by cultural Marxism and abandoned what may once have been a reasonable quest for greater automony and freedom. The rank and file went along with it. So let them live under their own New Rules. If, as Goad says, “equality is a hill that many true believers are willing to die on,” then by God let them die on it.

To ask the question is to answer it

Is there really NO American success they won’t find a way—any way, any at all—to dismiss, denigrate, defile, or generally piss over? Not even one of the greatest achievements in all human history—one unsurpassed, unequalled, or even remotely approached after 50 fucking years? But we gotta remember, for shitlibs and Enemedia (BIRM), any opportunity to both bash the US and extol the USSR simultaneously is a two-fer, a win-win, and not something to be passed up.

The New York Times published an article detailing “How the Soviets Won the Space Race for Equality” Tuesday, highlighting how socialism allowed people of “the humblest origins” to become successful.

The article, published under the “Past Tense” section, compared the “segregated United States” to the Soviet Union during the space race. While America put the first man on the moon, the Soviets sent the first man into space in 1961, before the U.S., and then sent “the first woman, the first Asian man, and the first black man into orbit – all years before the Americans would follow suit,” the article read.

“Cosmonaut diversity was key for the Soviet message to the rest of the globe: Under socialism, a person of even the humblest origins could make it all the way up,” Sophie Pinkham wrote after explaining how some of the women rose from lower or middle-class beginnings.

The NYT peddled a “NASA is sexist” theme in another recent article.

“To Make It to the Moon, Women Have to Escape Earth’s Gender Bias” was published as an essay by American author Mary Robinette Kowal Wednesday. It discusses how NASA “was designed by men, for men” as the United States celebrated its 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Holly Maths Geek deftly dispenses with the NYPravda’s despicable propagandizing:

Then, too, there’s this conspicuous omission:

Astonishingly, amid this endless America-bashing and gender-griping, the essay didn’t pause to mention Margaret Hamilton, the remarkable computer scientist, systems engineer and Medal of Freedom recipient who played a leading role in developing software for the Apollo project.

Hamilton received no attention, but the Times essay did mention that, yes, the Soviet Union beat the United States when it came to sending women into space.

This was par for the course for the Times. It’s become increasingly important for the American left to portray failed socialist states like the Soviet Union as feminist paradises. In 2017, Kristen Ghodsee, a professor of Russian and East European studies at the University of Pennsylvania, penned a Times op-ed arguing that even sex was better in the Soviet Union.

Wrote Ghodsee: “Some might remember that Eastern bloc women enjoyed many rights and privileges unknown in liberal democracies at the time, including major state investments in their education and training, their full incorporation into the labor force, generous maternity leave allowances, and guaranteed free child care.”

Education was free, that’s true. And when your education was completed, the state would send you to where you were needed. You had no “rights and privileges” as it extended to your free will. My mother, raised in central Russia, became a teacher and was shipped to Turkmenistan, 30 hours away from her home.

It’s a tedious habit of modern-day liberals to examine and judge and lament all American history by today’s woke standards. Trashing the American space program, which succeeded in putting men on the moon, because it doesn’t appeal to present-day virtuousness is bad enough. Comparing it unfavorably to the Soviet Union’s is morally inexcusable.

Y’know, there are days when I just can’t wait till Real Americans start shooting the bastards.

Shitholes gotta shithole

Presented without further comment.

Hodan Nalayeh, a Somali-born Canadian journalist (who) traveled to Somalia last week to prove Somalia is “beautiful” and to challenge ‘stereotypes’ ended up being killed by Islamic terrorists.

Hodan Nalayeh returned to Somalia, the place of her birth, to document the beauty and to tell “uplifting” stories, according to WaPo.

One of Nalayeh’s Twitter followers praised her for “countering the doom narrative propagated by many about Somalia.”

On July 12, al-Shabaab terrorists stormed Asasey Hotel in Kismayo. 26 people were killed in the terrorist attack and Hodan Nalayeh, 43, and her husband were among the victims.

According to a Canadian news outlet, Nalayeh was pregnant when she was killed by al-Shabaab terrorists last week.

Jeez.

On the fighting side of me

I’m thinking there may be a typo in the title. But either way it’s accurate.

AMERICAN-HATING AMERICANS ARE THE ULTIMATE INGRATES AND HYPOCRITES
Once again, Trump stands up for Americans who love their country.

With his usual flair for hyperbole and indifference to factual details, Donald Trump last week tweet-blasted the so-called “Squad” of female freshman Congressmen “of color” for slandering America as racist, sexist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, and numerous other empty epithets. Though Trump was careless for suggesting, “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came”––since only one, Ilhan Omar, was born abroad––his sentiment is still valid, and has been shared for decades by millions of Americans angry over their homeland being demonized by immigrants and fellow citizens alike.

And there they go again: where, exactly, are you seeing Trump’s “usual…indifference to factual details” here? Because only Omar was born abroad, maybe? If so, I’d call that a quibble minor enough to be unworthy of mention; Tlaib is the daughter of immigrants from “Palestine.” AOC’s family is of Puerto Rican origin which, despite all that “51st state” bushwa, amounts to defining American downward as far as I’m concerned. Ayanna Pressley would seem to be the only one without some sort of immigrant or quasi-immigrant family history. And, given their wholly un- and anti-American ideology, agenda, and intentions, I wouldn’t call any of the four truly American. They simply aren’t, in any way that matters.

This sentiment was memorably captured by country singer Merle Haggard in his hit “Fightin’ Side of Me.” Released in December 1969, the song expressed the anger of the “Silent Majority” that had just put Richard Nixon in the White House. And the lyrics identified who Americans were angry at: the free, comfortable New Leftists, college students, bougie hippies, and liberal elite fellow-travelers who burned the American Flag, slandered our soldiers as baby-killers, and called their country “AmeriKKKa.” Haggard especially targeted the antiwar activists who insulted our troops even as they were fighting and dying, and who “love our milk and honey” but “preach about some other way of livin’.” Sound familiar?

As usual, the common sense of the masses is smarter than the received wisdom of the credentialed elite. Haggard’s line “they love our milk and honey” exposed the moral idiocy of American anti-Americanism: its hypocrisy and shameless ingratitude. So too some immigrants today, whether first or second generation, are despicable hypocrites and ingrates. Their lives in their countries of origins would have been “nasty, brutish, and short,” as Hobbes put it. But after being welcomed into our country, they now enjoy freedom, opportunity, wealth, leisure, nutrition, and health care unprecedented in human history.

The Hag’s song pretty much says everything that needs saying, but the Orwell quotes are also worthwhile:

George Orwell, a socialist and internationalist, still understood that in the face of an evil, expansionist ideology like Nazism, denigrating and undermining patriotism weakened the morale and solidarity a people need to answer that threat. In 1941 Orwell wrote:

England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality. In left wing circles it is always felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman and that it is a duty to snigger at every English institution.

In the Thirties, Orwell went on, “left-wingers were chipping away at English morale, trying to spread an outlook that was sometimes squashily pacifist, sometimes violently pro-Russian, but always anti-British.”

Yet another way we’ve managed to catch up with Once-Great Britain, and should never have tried. Thornton goes on to tell the touching story of Italian-immigrant grandpa:

And those ideals, as well as freedom and economic opportunity, were (and still are) what have brought millions of immigrants to our country. Once here, most were free to honor their home country and its cultures, but there was no question that if they wanted their children to have the opportunities and political freedom of America, they had to assimilate to those principles, and abandon or relegate to civil society those customs and mores that contradicted the American way. They were expected to learn English and American history, including learning about their new country’s heroes and political principles. That was the price for full enjoyment of American freedom and opportunity. If one did not want to pay that price, one could return home, and indeed many did; between 1901 and 1920, half of Italian immigrants from that period returned to Italy.

Not my grandfather, Antonio Gigantiello. He came to America in 1906, an “illiterate peasant,” according to Ellis Island records. In America he owned a little land and a grocery store in the rural San Joaquin Valley. When his two sons spoke Italian at grammar school, they were scolded and whacked with a ruler. He made his youngest, my mom, speak only English at home so he and my grandmother could learn it, though their English was broken and accented. When my grandmother offered meek praise for Italy, my West Texas father, who left home at 15 and came to California in a boxcar, would say, “If it’s so great, go back.” (Exactly what Californians told him when he praised Texas.) In the Fifties my grandparents took the train to New York and crossed the Atlantic to visit their relatives in Italy. My grandfather cut his stay in half because he was homesick for America. When he got off the train in Fresno, he kissed the ground and thanked God.

That’s how immigration worked back in the day, before a specious “multiculturalism” and “diversity” turned assimilation into a betrayal of a superior identity and culture that immigrants had abandoned.  Now expecting loyalty to America and gratitude for its freedom and opportunities is xenophobic, nativist, and racist. Now it’s all about what America can do for me and my political tribe, rather than what we can do for America. Now some immigrants wave the flag of the dysfunctional country they escaped, and burn the flag of the free, prosperous country they voted for with their feet.

These criticisms don’t mean that the immigrant, like every American, doesn’t have the right to criticize his adopted country. But criticism without context, without realistic expectations, without acknowledgement that America’s sins are outweighed by its achievements and good deeds, without recognizing that equality of opportunity does not guarantee equal success–– without that mature realism, criticism is nothing but anti-Americanism, a spiteful ingratitude that bespeaks a lack of character, and a childish anger that one’s utopian expectations of “social justice” have not been met.

The “childish anger” is, I think, the crucial part; in every way, the Left’s ideology and agenda is simply juvenile. But we mustn’t for a moment lose sight of the fact that it isn’t just America—its Founding principles, its history, its success, its power—they hate; it’s Americans, too.

Recently, I wrote an article expounding on the theory that Barack Obama didn’t hate America, he hated Americans. Current events involving prominent (heck, all) Democrats, however, have given me a reason to doubt my hypothesis. I now believe he hates both America and Americans; and at this point, looking at the slate of Democrats who seek the presidency, as well as the constant and visceral provocations of the four female morons of the idiocracy, he is not alone.

Welcome to the party, pal; I been saying it for years.

Listen to any 1 of the 1,024 (a shout-out to Indigenous-Warren) New Woke Party candidates running for president and you would think we were all living in a dystopian hell ruled by white supremacists and corporate criminals intent on raping and pillaging their way to eternal power and wealth — and that’s before they even start talking about Donald Trump, who in their telling is the worst human being to have ever been born of woman.

However, believe it or not, this really isn’t about Trump. The New Woke would hate any president who stands between them and power. Yet, we should be grateful we have a man like Trump who will fight for us as he does every day.  He may never be “politics as usual” but he will not mince words because he doesn’t care what they say. It’s been a long time since we’ve had someone like that on our side…too long.

The New Woke Party hates America and Americans. Should Trump lose his bid for reelection in 2020 to any one of these nuts, they will surely show us just how much.

Bet on it. In fact, if you take the advice of the Coup Cucks Clowns of the #NeverTrumpTard faux Right and vote Democrat-Socialist, you’ll be betting your life on it—quite damned literally.

Fed up

Apologies for the fair-use violation and all, but I’m afraid I’m gonna have to C&P all of this one.

Since Election Night, I’ve been called a racist, a moron, an idiot, a traitor to my gender, and un-American. I’ve been accused of supporting a rapist and a Russian agent. I’ve been questioned about what kind of mother I am to my daughters. Trust me, this is a short list and…

a vicious environment all Trump voters/supporters have endured for three years. Meanwhile, Dems like Omar demean our country and threaten to strip us of our vote—OUR RIGHTS—by impeaching a president they detest. How exactly should Trump voters respond? Gee, let’s compromise?

The Left started this race war. They degrade citizenship. They trash Americans. They shoot at GOP congressmen and target pro-life high schoolers and chase people out of public spaces. They make the dangerous Nazi comparisons. They jeopardize our security and tranquility

The Dems and media and NeverTrump LIED for more than two years that Trump had colluded with the Kremlin to steal the election. Innocent people were investigated by their own government and harassed by the media and mocked by the public. To date no one has been held accountable

And what, now we’re supposed to watch our manners? Just take the abuse with a smile? Listen to ungrateful, unaccomplished, spoiled lawmakers insult us and this country and the president and what, be kind? No thanks

No thanks my ass. More like: HELL no.

In fairness, though, this is at least partially our own fault, for having rolled over and let them slide for so long. They’ve become so accustomed to supine complacency from our side they’re stunned at the very different response they’re beginning to get now.

Tough. Hint to shitlibs: it’s gonna get worse. Much, much worse.

WAX THEM, I SAY!

Remember me speculating the other day about the Canadian “transgender” bikini wax contretemps, and whether Zhir or Xhym whatever was actually serious or just some bored dude having us all on and taking the piss, as they say in Old Blighty?

Well. About that.

Jessica Yaniv, a transgender Canadian woman, has filed over a dozen gender-identity discrimination complaints against women in the Vancouver area who have refused to perform Brazilian bikini wax procedures on her male genitalia.

Yaniv’s identity was revealed Wednesday after the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal overturned an order protecting Yaniv’s identity from being disclosed by the Canadian press. However, Yaniv’s identity has long been suspected by the public, according to John Carpay, President of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, which is representing five women Yaniv has filed complaints against.

Yaniv posted a tweet Thursday arguing the refusal of women to wax her genitalia is “about businesses and individuals using their religion and culture to refuse service to protected groups.”

Fuck you, freakazoid. It’s actually about you trying to strongarm everyone into not just tolerating but vociferously endorsing your mental illness, forcing Normals who weren’t bothering you in the least into compliance with your fascist PC ethos. Well, that, and you cashing in along the way, apparently.

Even if the women are successful in defending themselves against the allegations of discrimination in violation of section eight of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, the complaint could cost them $10,000, $20,000 or even $30,000 in legal fees, said Carpay. He also believes some women have already paid Yaniv thousands of dollars in settlement money to avoid going to court.

There’s a picture of the repellent blot singlehandedly wreaking all this havoc and destruction. It’s…exactly what you’d expect.

Waitwait, what? A lesbian? SRSLY?!?

So to sum up then, what we have here is: an intact male who nonetheless wishes to be regarded, treated, and legally identified as a “woman”; who calls him/her/itself “transgender” while lacking the wherewithal to go under the knife and “transition” into…whatever, thereby making Xhym not a “transgender” anything, but a FUCKING ORDINARY TRANSVESTITE; and who, all the beforesaid notwithstanding, is STILL sexually attracted to women?

Riiiight, got it. Thanks for clearing things up for us, pal. It all makes perfect sense now.

Hook, line, sinker

Crazy. Like a fox.

While some continue to be distracted by style and skip substance with Trump, and others, like certain peacetime conservatives at legacy publications, become apologists for the anti-Semitic Ilhan Omar, many others still seem to be missing the entire point. However inartful Trump’s comments might be, it really does turn the questions around on them.

Why are they here? Of all the 195 countries in the world, why did you, Ilhan Omar, come here? And why are you proposing ideas that are deeply un-American, from coercive socialism to the loss of national sovereignty through open borders? Why are you and you gal pals proposing ideas that generations of Americans since our founding have rejected? What ideas on any level are you proposing that have anything to do with our constitutional republic or its perpetuation?

The answer, of course, is that none of Omar’s or her three colleagues’ ideas have anything to do with our traditions regarding the role of government. In fact, those who consistently propose ideas that are un-American, as they do, are rightly called un-American.

Every time Trump goads Democrats or the liberal media—but I repeat myself—they take the bait. Every. Single. Time. You would think at some point, after two-and-a-half years of this, Democrats would realize they’ve let Trump become their Pied Piper; he calls the tune and they dance to it.

But they don’t. What he has done this time is to put the four freshmen communists (let’s drop the “socialist” moniker and call them what they are) front and center. To “own Trump,” and because of intersectionality and the far left beliefs that have captured many of the Democratic activists and small-dollar donors, Democrats mindlessly have come to the defense of these women.

But to own Trump, Democrats also have to own everything these women stand for, including their refusal to disavow Antifa and al-Qaeda. What are the repercussions of this? Well, it allows Trump to do exactly what he’s wanted to: make 2020 a referendum on the competing worldviews of coercive socialism versus a free market, capitalistic approach, but also to show how un-American the Left truly is.

Most of the time, Ocasio-Cortez and Omar are walking in-kind contributions to the Trump re-election effort. Trump’s goal has been to make all of this the framework of the narrative, and then to harden the narrative. He threw out the hook and bait, the Democrats bit, and now he’s setting the hook.

He’s succeeding thanks to the mindlessness of Trump Derangement Syndrome but also because of the shallow, short term thinking and behavior of the Democrats. The Democrats have chosen or, perhaps one could argue, were actually compelled by the grassroots, to embrace the communist vipers. Problem is these movements, as history shows us with the Jacobins of the French Revolution, become all consuming fires, many times annihilating those who started the conflagration. Just ask Robspierre.

Only one way left for them to tamp down the blaze. Guess what it is.

Many prominent liberals have ripped into Democratic candidates for sponsoring ideas too far from mainstream America. Their advice? Stop being so honest and start lying.

START lying? You implying they ever STOPPED? On the other hand, it’s kinda dispositive, I suppose, when a sudden burst of honesty is so radically out of character for you that it very nearly destroys your entire criminal syndicate masquerading as a political party. Tells the whole story all by itself, that does.

With great power comes great responsibility

Pay no attention to the corruption behind the Big Tech curtain.

How is it that Facebook, who refuses to dox any of the violent Antifa terrorists that use its platform, are happy to give up the personal details of the Facebook user who anonymously uploaded a slowed video of Nancy Pelosi, within minutes, to some rando journalist on the phone? (How do you even call Facebook?)

Well what if I told you a Policy Director at Facebook was Nancy Pelosi’s Chief of Staff before taking said job directing policy at Facebook? What if I told you the head of algorithm policy at Facebook worked for Hillary at The State Department? Or that the Head of Content Policy worked for the Hillary presidential campaign? What if I told you the person in charge of privacy policy at Facebook used to work for Al Franken, before he worked for Senator Bonoff, before he worked for Congressman Oberstar? Or that the Director in charge of “countering hate and extremism” at Facebook came from the Clinton Foundation? Did you know that the person at Facebook who currently “oversees programs on countering hate speech and promoting pluralism”, and “develops internal third party education and drives thought leadership on hate speech and content moderation” was one of Obama’s policy advisers at The White House?

Why does Facebook have someone whose job is to show others how to use their platform as a type of privatized government and “exert influence” over the public? And what exactly does it mean for Facebook to “exert influence” over the public?

How about YouTube? How does Laura Southern’s documentary about the border get removed from YouTube within 24 hours of posting without any reason or explanation? What if I told you a Policy Manager at YouTube, before becoming a Policy Manager at YouTube, was employed by Hillary for America and was a manager in Obama’s campaign before that? What if I told you YouTube’s Global Content Policy Lead previously worked at the DNC? Did you know the person responsible for “growing the next generation of stars” on YouTube worked in the Office of Digital Strategy at the White House under Obama? Or that the person in charge of developing the careers of YouTube creators was the Director of Video for Obama? Speaking of helping the careers of creators, did you know Vox, the company that got Steven Crowder demonetized, was one of the companies that YouTube doled out $20 million dollars to, for ‘educational videos’?

Ten people, directly connected to the progressive Democrat political machine who are now controlling our conversations online. Sounds like an important alarm, no?

What if I told you there were nearly a hundred more?

I’d be surprised there weren’t more than that to be found—and would assume that, in truth, there are. But it is chilling nonetheless. Silicon Greybeard demurs:

Does their monopoly status require they undergo more Federal regulation to ensure access? Is access a “civil right”? It really is the big argument of our day.

For those who are regular readers, or who are but haven’t picked this up from me: these are private companies invented and developed by individual citizens. They have every right to kick anyone and everyone off their platform. Further, the leftist leaning politics of Silicon Valley companies should be apparent to anyone – which means they’ll attract these Democrats. My solution is to not use Facebook or Twitter and just use YouTube and Google for the few ways I want. While I don’t particularly think YouTube access is a civil right, reframing that question by asking what if YouTube banned all blacks or all gays or all of any other group instead of conservatives seems to lead to a different conclusion.

I can’t agree. Due in part to the fortuitous timing of their appearance; their near-universal acceptance; and the near-impossibility of any real competition establishing itself at this late date, these are de facto monopolies. However, because of their politicized nature and ubiquitousness, they are far more insidious than the ones Teddy Roosevelt took the bust-up stick to way back when.

These companies wield grotesquely outsized influence and power; at this point, they’re more akin to public utilities than they are private companies. Having become formidable platforms for disseminating political opinion whose owners and employees have repeatedly demonstrated their willingness to use their muscle for censorship of viewpoints they don’t like, the Big Tech/social media megaliths habitually and intentionally run afoul of the First Amendment guarantee of free speech. Allowing them to continue on as they have been isn’t merely unfair; it’s downright dangerous. In sum:

Each day we wake up and see the latest way conservative voices are being censored, shadowbanned, silently deleted, hidden from view, buried in searches, algorithmed out of existence. Whether it’s the biased search results hiding /r/The_Donald on Google and Reddit (or their questionable subscriber numbers), whether it’s banning Twitter accounts that simply track violence against Trump supporters, creating policy to allow death threats against conservatives, censoring the Declaration of Independence for hate speech, blocking a conservative Marine for literally saying the sky is blue, labeling bible verses as porn, or simply banning the top conservative voices for no reason at all, Big Tech companies absolutely are controlling our speech.

These aren’t just Democratic voters, but former employees from the DNC, from the offices of Pelosi, Hillary, Obama, Feinstein, Giffords, Schumer, Reid, Planned Parenthood, even Rachel Maddow, who are migrating en masse to gate-keeping positions in social media companies. They didn’t all learn to code, they aren’t designing the like button or working on Messenger. They are taking up residency in the policy departments across the web; shaping the conversation, pushing agendas, picking who gets featured, deciding who gets blocked, judging who gets banned for life, dictating the parameters of the algorithms we’ll never be allowed to see, and making cases for censorship – that always seem to ratchet in one direction.

Lots, lots more at the topmost Spinquark link, and damned good on ’em for their fine investigative journalism.
