Teh Fred! garners sought-after plaudit

November 30th, 2007

Props to Rush for this kinda-sorta endorsement:

…the genuine moderate as opposed to conservative aspects of three of the top-tier, four of the top-tier candidates were on full-fledged display last night. There was one candidate who did not display any moderateness or liberalism or have any of his past forays into those areas displayed, and that candidate was Fred Thompson. …we have a campaign now where most of the candidates are not genuine conservatives. They may be saying they are, but in their past they have done some things that are not conservative in any way, shape, manner, or form — and I think a lot of those things are being overlooked even by friends of mine in the conservative media because the obsession is Hillary…

Yep. As I keep saying, you don’t elect conservatives by voting for liberals and convincing yourself they’ll govern as conservatives afterward because…well, because you hope they will, and they said they would just to get themselves elected. When libs employ a similar mental gyration to justify yet another round of their proven-failure policies, we call it “magical thinking.” It’s the same sort of thing here.

Rudy is a liberal; Huckabee ditto; Romney is a pandering, flip-flopping fraud; Paul is an isolationist whackadoo; and McCain, while he’s been good on the war, is responsible for the abominable McCain-Feingold offense against Constitutionally-protected free speech — an unforgivable sin for many. It must be said that the CFR atrocity was only recently disavowed by Fred as well, who originally supported it. Still and yet, he’s the only one of the bunch conservatives and conservatarians wouldn’t have to hold their nose and vote for this time around, and in this age of smarmy, finger-to-the-wind career politicos, that’s saying something.

Heck, I may even have to start listening to Limbaugh again after this. And that’s saying something too.

Actually, Rush isn't bad! And if we can get ANY of the big talk personalities going for FRED!, that is a very-good-thing. Rush is, what, THE biggest name in talk radio?

While ABC (Anybody But Clinton) may be a sound attitude, Why do the lesser evil thing? We need a real conservative. We need FRED!, not a RINO. He's the only option, really.

You won't have to "hold your nose" to vote for a good candidate, and you won't get a good candidate if you don't go to the primaries. Do not trust others to do the right thing, you must do it yourself!

And don't forget the other seats that will be up for election. Vote in the primaries to insure we get a good candidate(s) for the race(s), and vote in the general to get the seat(s).
