WASHINGTON – House Democrats rejected a Republican bid Tuesday to reprimand Rep. John Murtha, a senior lawmaker accused of threatening legislative reprisals against a GOP member who had crossed him.
Before and after the largely party-line vote, which caused some Democrats discomfort, Republicans taunted Democratic leaders about their campaign promises to run a more ethical and open Congress.
Republicans — and me, too.
I’m hereby declaring it open season on any smarmy left-leaning dumbass who wanders in here trying to posture as if these swine had any morals or ethics at all. Do not under any circumstances feel obliged to show such twits the slightest courtesy. Blue language not only permitted, not only encouraged, but absolutely required. In fact, if I see anybody cutting the miserable worms any slack at all, I’ll ban him or her quicker’n Randy ever dreamed.
“…caused some Democrats discomfort.” Yeah, right. I just bet it did.
What a joke. What a disgrace. What a sad, pathetic mockery of its former self our once-great nation has become.
