Treasonous fuckweasels, part the, oh hell, who can count that high?

January 17th, 2007

Via Insty, we see that people actually reporting from Iraq, like Bryan Preston and Michael Yon believe that this war is winnable. Contrast that with the uniformly negative coverage of the wholly owned subsidiaries of the Defeatocratic Party; CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and CBS, none of which have anyone actually on the ground in Iraq, to the best of my knowledge. In fact, as far as I know, these “people” are relying solely on foreign stringers and Al Jazeera talent for their coverage.

There’s an old military saying: The man on the ground knows best what’s going on, defer to his expertise unless you have very solid evidence he’s wrong. That said, when are the American news agencies going to put some actual, you know, Americans on the ground in Iraq to report on what’s happening there? How long are these treasonous fuckstains going to keep relying on the propaganda being fed them by people who are most certainly not friendly to America?

More importantly, when are we going to march on D.C. and demand that these treasonous fuckers be charged, tried, and if convicted, hung for this shit?

Actually, I think there are MSM reporters on the ground in Iraq. About four of them last I read, all cowering in the same hotel in Baghdad and filing their reports from the bar.

As Ace would say: layers, man.

And meanwhile, the Leftards are still happily slamming Malkin, twittering moronically about "chickenhawks" while not stampeding to sign up for Afghanistan (the Good War -- this week), and insisting that we all share a spot in the teabagging-AP queue with 'em.

    Nuance.

I'm glad to hear that our press has managed to take and hold the strategic height known as "Mahoganey Ridge", ensuring that the strategic resources* will not be plundered by the enemy.

Wolf Blitzer tells Lynne Cheney that CNN makes no apologies for showing video of terrorists shooting Americans. He denies it is propaganda, but that they simply report the news in a non-partisan way.

    Between him and Dan Rather...

I need a shot of Pepe Lopez... cheap white bar tequila...

It seems to me that there IS a government in Iraq- people are being paid, offices are sat in, business is being done. Listen to the MSM, and its like lord of the flies over there- but after a few years, normal means something. Maybe its ugly, but its not looking like a failed state by any means.

But I have to ask, how would Rager know anything about old military sayings? I did my time in Omaha and Barrow back in the 50's and 60's- froze my ass off.

Nine and a half years in the Air Force, asshole. Not to mention a lifetime of studying military history. I literally learned to read on the stuff. Now do you have anything worthwhile to add to this discussion, or are you going to keep carping like an old fishwife?

Alright then. I sorta suspected you were just needling me, but I wasn't always sure. Good to see you aren't just another jackass.

I froze my ass off at Altus, which for all it's southern latitude, gets awful damned cold in the winter. There's literally nothing to stop the wind in the winter. So damned flat, you can see Texas one way and Kansas the other. Chanute got pretty cold in the winter too, but that's to be expected, I suppose.
