Whatever it takes to avoid the lesson
Captain Ed declares:
The partisan sniping has ceased to be germane. We’ve already had the election, and the Democrats are in charge — and they will be for two years no matter what. Obviously, we will watch closely to ensure that they do not surrender to terrorism, but I’m not going to take Abu Hamza’s word that they will before their majority session even starts.
Fair enough; howzabout we take the Dems’ own words instead? They’ve said over and over again, full speed ahead and damn the self-contradiction, that A) the WoT is a sham; B) the threat from the Islamists has been inflated for political purposes; C) the proper way to handle this non-existent threat is through police action, and not dealing with the sponsor states without which etc. etc.
And: partisan sniping? Is that what we’re calling taking notice of the Dems’ true agenda now? Is this another attempt to “work with” people who have, through their own ironclad obstructionism, all but guaranteed our defeat in this war? We’re supposed to ignore the last six years and start over from scratch, just for the sake of “getting along”?
Man, but Pollyanna sure is a deeeeeep sleeper.
