Democrats: the party terrorists can live with

November 2nd, 2006

The headline says it all, really — “Mideast terror leaders to U.S.: Vote Democrat”:

“Of course Americans should vote Democrat,” Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity, told WND.

“This is why American Muslims will support the Democrats, because there is an atmosphere in America that encourages those who want to withdraw from Iraq. It is time that the American people support those who want to take them out of this Iraqi mud,” said Jaara, speaking to WND from exile in Ireland, where he was sent as part of an internationally brokered deal that ended the church siege.

Muhammad Saadi, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad in the northern West Bank town of Jenin, said the Democrats’ talk of withdrawal from Iraq makes him feel “proud.”

“As Arabs and Muslims we feel proud of this talk,” he told WND. “Very proud from the great successes of the Iraqi resistance. This success that brought the big superpower of the world to discuss a possible withdrawal.”

Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas’ military wing in the Gaza Strip, said the policy of withdrawal “proves the strategy of the resistance is the right strategy against the occupation.”

Abu Ayman, an Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin, said he is “emboldened” by those in America who compare the war in Iraq to Vietnam.

“[The mujahedeen fighters] brought the Americans to speak for the first time seriously and sincerely that Iraq is becoming a new Vietnam and that they should fix a schedule for their withdrawal from Iraq,” boasted Abu Ayman.

Pleased with yourselves, you smarmy, defeatist, anti-American sons of bitches?

(Hat tip to Chuck)

Update! Via Mary K: “When you go to the polls next week, vote to fight the War on Terror or vote to fight Republicans. Pick your battle.” I could wish the Bushies were a lot less tentative about prosecuting the war myself, but their way still beats the Dem approach of surrendering, apologizing, and installing a forty foot tall monument to Osama on the White House lawn.

And here it is. All the bad mouthing, double dealing, undermining, lying, treasonous pigeons have come home to roost at the DNC. I certainly hope they are all proud of themselves. If this doesn't get the "base" off its ass to vote next week, they ain't worth shit.

Yeah I would say that Kerry's idiocies are going to do a nice job at rousting the Republican non-Democrat base. Its most amusing several Dems have cancelled their visits from Kerry.

Ok, so let me get this right, terrorists always lie except when they want us to vote democratic, then they are telling the truth.

Of course it could be terrorists know they are so hated in America they know then whatever they say the US will do the opposite. So they tell us to vote democratic, knowing we'll vote GOP to teach them a lesson. But if they know we know they know then they would tell us to vote GOP if they wanted us to vote democratic. But it they know we know they know we know they know we know...

Goodness I'm glad I've got you guys to tell me what to think.

They've always lied tactically, never strategically. They've made little attempt to hide their ultimate goals.

And yes, I think they would say something like that. They think everyone is scared of them and will do anything to appease them. They just make the mistake of not really understanding Americans. But that's okay; most people don't understand Americans, these clowns are no exception.

Dervin, you're working awfully hard to avoid the conclusion that's sittting so obviously in front of you, staring you in the face. I understand; it isn't a pleasant one, and unfortunately many others share your cognitive dissonance and your difficulty reconciling it.

I suggest you think it over some more, and try to leave your hatred for Bush out of the equation. That might help give you the strength to face up to the truth at last.

Dervin. Check out the archives from 1992 after Clinton won. Saddam Hussein had rallies in the streets of Baghdad. If you think enemies of the US today would not have the same reaction, you need to reconsider. Why wouldn't terrorists want the US to leave Iraq? It would significantly increase their chances of winning there and embolden them to hit other places to see if they could roll us back further. Say, Europe again, or here in the US, or Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia.
