More Leftorrhoid support for the troops:

Four military recruiters hastily fled a job fair Tuesday morning at UC Santa Cruz after a raucous crowd of student protesters blocked an entrance to the building where the Army and National Guard had set up information tables.

Members of Students Against War, who organized the counter-recruiting protest, loudly chanted “Don’t come back. Don’t come back” as the recruiters left the hilltop campus, escorted by several university police officers.

“The situation had degraded to the point where there was a possibility of injury to either a student or law enforcement officer. We certainly didn’t want that to happen,” said Capt. Will Griffin, one of the Army recruiters.

In better, more civilized times, this sort of thing was known as “sedition,” a quaint, obsolete term that no longer has any meaning whatsoever — and won’t until every last one of these treasonous “student” thugs is rounded up and tried for it according to the pertinent laws against it.

Of course, It’s far more likely that I’d be arrested for a “hate crime” for being so insensitive as to suggest that these vile worms are in any way unpatriotic. They really hate when you do that, you know (first person to come along and suggest that this post in any way expresses opposition to LEGITIMATE dissent gets viciously, profanely mocked, by the way).

David Kliger, campus provost and executive vice chancellor, said the school was most concerned Tuesday about safety issues, but also wanted to preserve access to the recruiters for students who wanted to speak with them, while still allowing protesting students their right to free speech.

And there’s the rub: these left-wing fascists have no respect for or interest in free speech, except as and when they can use it as a weapon to undermine their enemies: the United States of America, its loyal citizens, and its/their interests. These anti-American, anti-US military rioters are criminals. They are thugs. They are traitors. If we who care most about them don’t respect our own institutions enough to defend them vigorously, why should useful-idiot swine like these do anything but hold them in contempt?

Kliger said officials had tried to engage the anti-war student group in discussions in the weeks leading up to the fair. But when talks broke down, officials began privately hoping for rain and brought in extra police.

Whatever happened to “no negotiations with terrorists,” anyway? And…hoping for rain? For God’s sake, man, grow a pair and start seeing to it that the laws are enforced on that Leftard cesspool you call a campus, before the ignorant savages overrun you completely.

The rain probably accounted for a decidedly smaller turnout — about 100 students compared with about 300 a year earlier.

Still, the Army’s Griffin said he sensed that some of the students were “looking for action” and decided to pack up their table before things got out of hand and someone got injured.

I know it would most likely never occur to Capt. Griffin to say so, but oh, how I would love to see these twerps get a little of that “action” they were looking for.

Students Against War members said they were pleased that their counter-recruiting effort forced the military personnel off campus, at least for the time being.

“We’re saying it’s not OK to recruit on high school campuses, it’s not OK to recruit on university campuses,” Marla Zubel, a UC Santa Cruz senior and member of Students Against War, said. “In order to stop the war, you have to make it more difficult to wage war.”

And in order to win the war, we need to destroy our enemies completely — all of them, which would certainly include this anti-American punk. Of course, it should go without saying that we need not bother with waging all-out war on simpletons such as this guy; a couple of prosecutions for sedition, leading to prison terms for those found guilty, would go a long way towards clearing the befuddling fog encumbering the minds of these spoiled, arrogant brats. Who knows, some of them may suddenly remember what they’re actually supposed to be at university for in the first place, you never know.

They aren't anti-war. That would imply pacifism. These demonstrators are anything but pacifistic.

    They are anti-U.S. Big difference.

Ok...so if we like, um, bomb um...terrorists and stuff...and um...like, wiretap them um...and um...like, we interrogate them...and um...like, keep them from bombing us...um...we can stop them from doing...um...stuff.

I have no problem with this at all - if they don't want recruiters, we shouldn't force them.

Of course, this means all their Federal funding gets pulled, right?

Joe, in my world that's EXACTLY the response they'd receive from the government...and since they hate the military and stuff...if ever an attack or "breakdown" should occur in their little piece of worker's paradise, they wouldn't have to worry about the evil military coming to their rescue either.

Oh, they don't really hate the military, guys, just so long as they (the military) are kept in their proper role: that of plucking flood victims (and Democrat politician' bribery stashes) from out of harm's way. That, and serving as New World Order/UN shock troops, and their afterlife role of being dragged by gibbering troglodytes behind enemy personnel carriers through the streets of Third World shitholes every time a Democrat President decides he lacks the stones to give them proper back-up. After having sent them there for no good reason, of course.

it's only when they start defending the US by toppling terrorist-sponsoring megalomaniacs that the dweebs have a problem with them.

    Isn't left-wing fascist a redundant term?
  7. April 12th, 2006 at 15:12 | #7
Pretty much, but since the Leftwingnuts are always accusing everyone else of being fascist, (disregarding all the examples of history, like Mussolini, Hitler, and Stalin, just to name three) the distinction must be made.

Good to know I'm not the only one who realizes that.

I respect the recruiters for bailing out before things got too hairy; I'm sure they've been trained in some kind of "withdrawal strategy" for encountering this kind of resistance on college campuses without stepping on any dirty hippies' necks.

But I must say that if I were on this campus and was trying to get into this building to see the recuiters and found my way blocked by these asswipes, I'm not sure I wouldn't break a few of them in half.

How many times am I going to have to say this?

    Privatize Education!

Then recruiters will only enter campuses by invite of the administration, which will be required to guarantee their safety.

    No, matterson,
Fascist and nazis are leftwing. They elevate the primacy of the state over the rights of the individual, just like socialists and communists.

One of the great victories of Cold War agitprop was to convince idiots in the Soviet Union's erstwhile allies that the Nazis and Fascists were rightwingers, just like the awful capitalists and religious conservatives. See how long that falsehood has stood?

Came over from the "Rott" for the first time......great blog, I'll be back.

Is 20 years too late to have an abortion? If not, some of these douchebags' mothers need to take a very close look at the stupid decision they made years ago getting knocked-up and failing to drown these pieces of shit in a bucket of water. They are now sending these morons off to be "educated". Poisoning their water is probably not feasible due to some EPA rule (damn the luck).

Lived in Santa Cruz from 1991 to 1995. UCSC was well known for its peculiar denizens! One friend who worked there said it was nothing for a student(gender optional) to arrive in class wearing flip-flops and a backpack! The professors didn't even blink. The mascot is a Banana slug, a 6-8 inch long bright YELLOW slug! The typical student was 26, female and a psychology major. They would protest the cutting down of the "Fairy Oak", faculty also! They are so far out of orbit that I think they circle Barnard's Star! So what happened doesn't suprise me in the slightest!!!

I love it when people label themselves anti-war(violence) and then protest using intimidation and a perceived threat of violence.

Lock them up and send their meal rations to Cambodia. Let them rot and starve at the same time.

Gee I thought liberals were in favor of allowing individuals to do whatever they want... I guess except if the individual wanted to meet with recruiters to fight to save the traitorous left.

"...he was damaging the army, upon the existence, and vigor of which, the life of the nation depends." -Abraham Lincoln, writing on the arrest of an anti-war Democrat arrested for inhibiting military recruitment for the Union cause.
