Can we call it treason now?

January 20th, 2006

On your knees, punk-ass bitch:

In an audio tape broadcast on Aljazeera, Osama bin Laden has warned that al-Qaida is preparing an attack very soon, but also offers Americans a long-term truce.

The voice, attributed to Bin Laden and apparently addressing Americans, said: “The new operations of al-Qaida has not happened not because we could not penetrate the security measures. It is being prepared and you’ll see it in your homeland very soon.”

But the voice on the tape, which appeared to be aimed at the American public, also offered a truce: “We do not mind establishing a long-term truce between us and you.”

The tape, broadcast by Aljazeera on Thursday evening but dated to December last year, comes after a year of silence from the al-Qaida leader.

“This message is about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and how to end those wars,” it began.

“It was not my intention to talk to you about this, because those wars are definitely going our way.

“But what triggered my desire to talk to you is the continuous deliberate misinformation given by your President [George] Bush, when it comes to polls made in your home country which reveal that the majority of your people are willing to withdraw US forces from Iraq.

“We know that the majority of your people want this war to end and opinion polls show the Americans do not want to fight the Muslims on Muslim land, nor do they want Muslims to fight them on their [US] land.

Proud of yourselves, Congressional Democrats? That’s Osama bin Laden speaking directly to you as if you were his allies and, indeed, his only hope. Which, of course, is exactly what you are, either wittingly or unwittingly. Every “bring the troops home now” deceit out of your mealy mouths gives this monster comfort and hope for the future. And the same goes for all the deranged BDS-speak we see repeated in the MSM and on our very streets. You petulant brats may think your ill-considered words have no real effect on the conduct of the war, but they do, insomuch as they give heart to Osama and his killers and thereby prolong it by encouraging them to deceive themselves into thinking that we won’t stay the course. I assure you we will, and there will be more of you Dems dumped out of work and into the bread lines this fall to prove it. Meanwhile, our soldiers will go right on sending Osama’s minions to Hell in cheap pine boxes, no matter how hard you all pout about it. I repeat: proud of yourselves?

“The new operations of al-Qaida has not happened not because we could not penetrate the security measures. It is being prepared and you’ll see it in your homeland very soon”

“But Bush does not want this and claims that it is better to fight his enemies on their land rather than on American land.

“Bush tried to ignore the polls that demanded that he end the war in Iraq.

“We are getting increasingly stronger while your situation is getting from bad to worse,” he told the US, referring to poor US troop morale and the huge economic losses inflicted by the war.

Yeah, right. Go tell it to these assholes, dirtbag.

Oops. You can’t. They’re dead. Along with literally thousands of your other comrades.

As usual, Cheney has it right:

WASHINGTON – Rejecting a suggestion by Osama bin Laden of a negotiated truce in the war on terror, Vice President Dick Cheney said there was only one way to deal with terrorists. “I think you have to destroy them,” Cheney said.

And so we have been, at least since we got Clinton the hell out of office, and so we shall continue to do. Nice, isn’t it, how this AP twerp frames Osama’s “offer” as if it were in any way legitimate or genuine; guess he isn’t particularly well-versed in the way the Palestinian branch of Terror Inc. has used all those hudna cease-fires to manipulate the gullible antisemitic libs. Now just wait for the usual suspects to piss and moan about how the warmongering Shrubco “junta” has rejected all offers of peace because they want to…oh, God only knows what half-baked conspiracy theory the shitwits will come up with next.

I repeat once more: proud of yourselves? Yes, there is such a thing as legitimate dissent from the conduct of the war. And we’ve seen scarcely any of it; the vapid whining, leaking of classified material, baseless accusations which inspire serious calls for impeachment of the President, claims that the President is “evil” that are uttered with a near-religious fervor, or attempts to undermine troop morale by protesting at military hospitals puked up by the Treasonous Left do not in any way qualify.

Now go on, whine some more about how we’re losing, why don’tcha. Because the truth is, you are. And Osama at least seems to know it.

Update! LGF’s headline is priceless: “Dead Man Offers Phony Truce.”

Updated update! And so is Allah’s: “Osama To Useful Idiots: Bush Is Our Common Enemy.” Yeah — and they are ours. And he has more, on the predictable convergence of Osama’s message with the Left’s:

Quagmire: “[T]he [American] soldier is caught between two hard options. He either refuses to leave his military camp on patrols and is therefore dogged by ruthless punishments enacted by the Vietnam Butcher (U.S. army) or he gets destroyed by the mines…. The solution is in your hands if you care about them (the soldiers).”

Iraq worse off than before: “On another issue, jihad (holy war) is ongoing, thank God, despite all the oppressive measures adopted by the U.S Army and its agents (which is) to a point where there is no difference between this criminality and Saddam’s criminality, as it has reached the degree of raping women and taking them as hostages instead of their husbands.”

“Mission accomplished”: “[I]f you compare the small number of dead on the day that Bush announced the end of major operations in that fake, ridiculous show aboard the aircraft carrier with the tenfold number of dead and wounded who were killed in the smaller operations, you would know the truth of what I say.

Halliburton/mercenaries: “There is no shame in this solution, which prevents the wasting of billions of dollars that have gone to those with influence and merchants of war in America who have supported Bush’s election campaign with billions of dollars — which lets us understand the insistence by Bush and his gang to carry on with war.”

Why, it’s almost as if they’re on the same side or something. I repeat: proud of yourselves?

Update to the updated update! The ultimate US response to the whole filthy fricassee of religio-fascist killers and defeatist enablers alike.

Updates, forsooth! I can scarcely even believe that they’re this far gone myself, but the half-baked conspiracy theory I mentioned above seems to be…well, see for yourself. This latest Loon narrative is truly diseased. I mean it: these people need help.

Updatezapoppin’! Bill sums the fever-swamp propaganda circus up nicely.

    Nice chatter...for a dead-guy:

Translation of Funeral Article in Egyptian Paper:
    al-Wafd, Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Vol 15 No 4633
    News of Bin Laden's Death
    and Funeral 10 days ago

    Islamabad -
A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa'da organization, stating that binLaden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death. The official, who asked to remain anonymous, stated to The Observer of Pakistan that he had himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days ago. He mentioned that 30 of al-Qa'da fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taleban. In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air. The official stated that it is difficult to pinpoint the burial location of bin Laden because according to the Wahhabi tradition no mark is left by the grave. He stressed that it is unlikely that the American forces would ever uncover any traces of bin Laden.

But...but...but...but I thought Iraq was an indefensible distraction from the real WoT that had made it impossible to defeat our true enemies? I mean, wasn't it only recently that the Left was pointedly (and smugly) asking why we hadn't "gotten Osama" yet?

Hmm...it just gets more and more confusing keeping up with those ever-shifting goalposts.

Not this leftie...I've been convinced that Osama is dead for quite some time.

...y'know, all that "journalist quacking" that I'm privvy to.

Neil Boortz also notes the similarities between MSM/DNC talking points and OBL's statements.

To your eternal credit, Z. All ribbing aside, I've never been truly convinced that he's alive by the occasional release of these suspicious audiotapes either.

Uh, no, Mike. I'm unwilling to pretend that these assholes are unwittingly helping the terrorists; they've been told often enough, and seen their own words parroted back at them by the terrorists often enough for this truth to be as plain as the nose on their faces. That they continue this behavior is therefore treasonous - they are on the other side because they want to be. Their little display of "blame America" delight at the news we may have missed the target in the recent Pakistani bombing makes that quite clear. No need to listen to any more of their excuses, explainations, no benefit of the doubt or patriotic dissent lying bullshit. Fuck the whole bunch of 'em. In better days we would've hung the lot of these worthless shits, starting with the turncoats at the Old Gray Whore.

Similarities? Hell, OBL's speech looks like it was ghost-written by Howard Dean himself!
