No blow too low, no hole too dank, no cesspool too squalid

Top ten things Kerry and the Democrats would never, ever do merely to get elected:

  1. Promote defeatism in a crucial conflict, in direct contradiction of his own past statements, thereby helping to create the very American defeat he falsely claims to be so concerned about

  2. Mock and belittle important allies in a pathetic effort to suck up to allies-in-name-only, whose motivation and interests are in direct conflict with the US’s own
  3. Attempt to swing an election their way using fraud, deception, and a biased and compliant national media
  4. Attempt to undermine the incumbent in time of war by unconscionably spreading lies and innuendo about him and his intentions
  5. Ally themselves with people and groups who are clearly unpatriotic and anti-American

….okay, I’m sorry, gang, but after going through those five and mentally striking through them, there’s clearly no point in continuing. Obviously, there’s nothing whatsoever that Kerry and the Dems won’t do to get elected.

Well, we still have a month and a half to go, Mike. I'm sure they'll provide plenty of fresh candidates for the other five things by then.

I see they let his wife out of her cage. On the one hand, the things she says are so studpid, it's great to have her back. On the other, she is such a Frenchie, such an arrogant, internationalist (in the worst sense of the word) such a UN-loving, collectivist, when I see her on TV my stomach turns. President Bush MUST win this election for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest to me is to keep that hag out of the White House and out of Big Media's spotlight. Let's start a rumor: after Kerry loses the election, that witch is running off with Dan Rather.

Can you honestly say Republicans don't fit the same bill?

Or are you too partisan to be able to critically look at Republican's faults?

Nice job. I can't even watch the guy anymore. If I want to know what he's said, I just find a transcript.

Kerry should've showed up for the Goss vote and he should've showed up for Allawi's address. What the hell? He's still a member of the Congress, right? The guy is AWOL.

Kerry is quickly turning into Dukakis mark II. Of course, if you don't like Bush or Kerry, you always go for the greater of all evils.

Dukakis Mk2. Christ, that's like saying Yugo CV Mk2. Both equally hideous thoughts. I get the poiint, though, Andrew. Dukakis wasn't quite so strident in his anti-Americanism, and if I remember right, Dukakis honorably, if unremarkably served in the military.

IX, are you really that willfully blind? Really- if you want to support the left side of the ticket, it's OK, it is your right. But how can you not be angry at the choice the DNC made for you? I personally am very disappointed with the President on much of his national agenda, but on the international stage, Bush is the ONLY logical choice. Since national defence is the number one priority of the federal government, do you really think Kerry is the better man of the two? More to the point, do you have any concrete idea what a President Kerry will do? All I've heard is "I was in Viet Nam" and "I have a secret plan". Oh, well, that, and that he's such a great diplomat he feels he can insult and belittle true allies- you know, like Britain, Australia, Poland, Italy, and so on. Allies that have also lost troops helping us out. So grace us, IX- list a few of those faults that the Republicans have that you dislike so much. List them here so we can fisk the everloving fuck out of them.

"IX, are you really that willfully blind? Really- if you want to support the left side of the ticket, it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s OK,"

Why do you assume I support the left? All I'm saying is turn those critical eyes critically on your own party and it's failures as well.

From my standpoint both men are miserable failures as politicians or presidents. I believe they are owned lock stock and barel by the same corporate interest that have bought out our government. And it's reall starting to get to be high time to take our government back.

As laws like eminent domain are abused for profit, and Americans are jailed daily at the behest of MADD on trumped up data the AMA changed three times. As more and more Americans are jailed for minor drug charges and turned into enemies of the state I see our freedoms being held subject to a religious morality that has no place in government. Much as the designers and founders of the Constitution and Bill of Rights intended.

So to think I support the right misses the mark. I support Americans. I question politicians and politics. And I seriously question anyone who would back either as the end all to our problems when our real problems are buried daily in non issues such as gay marriage and abortion.

And I find it very humorous the right collects guns for the very same reason the left fears we may soon need them. Government intrusions of our liberty. Seems both sides have alot in commen but don't realize who the real enemy in the game is.

I'll give you a hint. They're not UNITERS, they are DIVIDERS.

IXL, you've been by here enough to know that we agree on most of the points you've raised, but we are not chosing a President on those points. Perhaps we should be, but the overwhelming trump card for many of us right now is the War on Terror. I will vote for Bush because he understands how serious this war is, and he intends to win it. Kerry does not understand this, and it's pretty clear that he will withdraw from engagement with the terrorists as soon as he can possibly manage it.

And that's exactly it, IXL. There's no point discussing policy beyond the survival of our nation, and our civilization. Now, if you doubt that is what is at stake here, say so. Or tell us why Kerry will do a better job than Bush, and how. Not ridiculous "I'll get our allies involved" rhetoric that everyone knows is bullshit, but real, concrete actions to win the war. Bush already has taken action - how would Kerry improve on it ?
