The monkey speaks his mind

May 27th, 2004

The Big Woodenheaded Sub-Genius has really outdone himself this time:

George W. Bush promised us a foreign policy with humility. Instead, he has brought us humiliation in the eyes of the world.

Yeah. I’m sure the sensible among us are incredibly worried about how foolish we look right now in comparison to, say, Spain.

He promised to “restore honor and integrity to the White House.” Instead, he has brought deep dishonor to our country and built a durable reputation as the most dishonest President since Richard Nixon.

Well, with one notable exception, of course.

Honor? He decided not to honor the Geneva Convention. Just as he would not honor the United Nations, international treaties, the opinions of our allies, the role of Congress and the courts, or what Jefferson described as “a decent respect for the opinion of mankind.” He did not honor the advice, experience and judgment of our military leaders in designing his invasion of Iraq. And now he will not honor our fallen dead by attending any funerals or even by permitting photos of their flag-draped coffins.

Yeah, right. “Would not honor the UN” — by wasting more than a year trying to persuade them that all those resolutions they passed demanding Iraqi compliance with the cease-fire conditions ought to be enforced. “Would not honor” the opinions of our “allies” — that is, those ersatz “allies” whose opposition to the liberation of Iraq was based purely on their own self-serving greed and corruption, and not one thing else. “Would not honor” the role of Congress and the courts — by going to them and getting their overwhelming approval for taking action against Iraq with or without the gutless criminals at the UN before a shot was fired. Maybe if you shout louder some of your delusional fantasies will finally come true, Al.

How did we get from September 12th , 2001, when a leading French newspaper ran a giant headline with the words “We Are All Americans Now” and when we had the good will and empathy of all the world — to the horror that we all felt in witnessing the pictures of torture in Abu Ghraib.

Here’s how: the French (and the rest of Eurabia) like us a lot better when we’re lying on the ground bleeding than they do when we’re on our feet fighting back. They suffer horribly from the comparison with their own perpetually-supine posture, see. Fuck them, and fuck you too.

To begin with, from its earliest days in power, this administration sought to radically destroy the foreign policy consensus that had guided America since the end of World War II. The long successful strategy of containment was abandoned in favor of the new strategy of “preemption.”

A “successful strategy” that brought us terrorist attack after terrorist attack, unanswered by you and your feckless bun-boy, Clinton. This time I can’t even muster a half-hearted “nice try” to your complete twaddle; you’re slipping, Goron.

And what they meant by preemption was not the inherent right of any nation to act preemptively against an imminent threat to its national security, but rather an exotic new approach that asserted a unique and unilateral U.S. right to ignore international law wherever it wished to do so and take military action against any nation, even in circumstances where there was no imminent threat. All that is required, in the view of Bush’s team is the mere assertion of a possible, future threat – and the assertion need be made by only one person, the President.

Y’know, it just occurred to me that this sorehead loser is not even worth another moment of my time. You lost, Al; get over it. You and the rest of your feeble-minded supporters. Or, put another way, isn’t it high time you and the rest of your camp-followers Move On?

Can there possibly be even one sane person left in this country who doesn’t feel a quick, sharp shiver of relief at the happy realization that this twisted, witless goon isn’t our current President?

Update! The RNC’s response:

Washington, DC — RNC Communications Director Jim Dyke issued the following statement today in response to a speech by former Vice President Al Gore attacking President Bush.

“Al Gore served as Vice President of this country for eight years. During that time, Osama Bin Laden declared war on the United States five times and terrorists killed US citizens on at least four different occasions including the first bombing of the World Trade Center, the attacks on Khobar Towers, our embassies in East Africa, and the USS Cole.”

“Al Gore’s attacks on the President today demonstrate that he either does not understand the threat of global terror, or he has amnesia.”

Oh, hell, yeah. And Michele’s ain’t too shabby either.

"Fuck them, and fuck you too."

My sentiments, exactly. Sometimes, Mike, that's all that need be said, especially in Goron's case.

"Fuck them, and fuck you too". Ditto from here!

And another thing. It's appropriate that Goron wants to cozy up to the UN and the Euro-wimps. He, and his moonbat preachings, are just as irrelevant as they are.

Hey, no need to slander Sub-genii by lumping them in with Gore.
