On this Thanksgiving Day, let us give thanks that the two greatest all-purpose pretexts for government regulation of every single aspect of your life – “health care” and “the environment” – have now converged. Forget the global warming, global cooling, all the phoney-baloney tree-ring stuff – who can keep track of all that “settled science”? And fortunately we no longer need it, because we have a new rationale for the massive multitrillion-dollar Copenhagen shakendownen. Drumroll, please!

Steyn is more right than he knows…
One of the worst things about The Great Warmal Fraud is that these politicians we call “scientists” were quite willing (and still are!) to have us waste trillions on a vast Money-down-the-Rathole -scheme, just so they could maintain their funding and power, especially when there are so many very real needs.
There are pollution issues that really need addressing, and I don’t mean when the EPA fines Phoenix because there was a sandstorm out in the desert. How many towns could use a new water treatment plant or a modern landfill or a park? Every dollar already wasted by these creeps in a fantastical effort to control the earth’s thermostat is both one dollar wasted and one less dollar that could have gone to meet real needs.
But the same is true in Health Control Reform.
Politicians are quite willing to have us waste trillions there, too, just so they can maintain their funding and power. Every “reason” they give is patently bogus; there would still be millions uninsured. Costs would explode. Quality would suffer.
Health Reform is not about your health, but the health of the government. And Global Worming is not about the health of the planet, but again about the Health of The Planners.
The Environment is everywhere, except your body. So they have Enviro-Care to control the outer world and Health Care to control your innards.
The un-Constitutional mandate forcing you to purchase insurance would essentially be a tax on existing, on breathing air, if you will.
And Cap & Trade would be a tax on exhaling, now that they’ve declared your breath a CO2 Toxic Waste dump. And that was even before you had a cocktail.
In other words, they want to tax, regulate and control us when we’re breathing in …and tax, regulate and control us when we’re breathing out. Coming…and going.
That’s beyond “convergence”; it’s tyranny. And it must be defeated.
