Ripping the lid off the global warming scam

November 21st, 2009

Another Golden Idol of the religious Left exposed for the lie it always was; read all about it here, here, and here.

Anybody wanna bet they’ll squeal like stuck pigs over how this sort of thing is just wrong, wrong, wrong — but hacking Palin’s personal e-mail account was a service to humanity done by a courageous whistleblower?

Update! AoSHQ commenter Dave S winnows it down to the basics:

1) Climate scientists are more interested in manipulating data to make it substantiate a predetermined narrative (”It would be good to remove at least part of the 1940s blip…”) and

2) They are often merely tweaking the variables that are actually known and understood to make data fit what is supposed to “look right” given those knowledge constraints and their preconceptions/preferences. Prime example: “I’ve chosen 0.15 here deliberately. This still leaves an ocean blip, and i think one needs to have some form of ocean blip to explain the land blip (via either some common forcing, or ocean forcing land, or vice versa, or all of these). When you look at other blips, the land blips are 1.5 to 2 times (roughly) the ocean blips — higher sensitivity plus thermal inertia effects. My 0.15 adjustment leaves things consistent with this…. In other words, they are totally making shit up.

3) They work to suppress dissenting views and data, by actually hiding data (suggesting deletion of emails), manipulating the pier review process, and pressuring publishers (“Note that I am copying this view only to Mike Hulme and Phil Jones. Mike’s idea to get editorial board members to resign will probably not work”), a problem reinforced by the buddy-buddy fraternity that exist across organizations (“I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick…”).

Someone needs to explain the scientific method to these deceitful religious fanatics. Real scientists don’t massage the data to fit the hypothesis; that just ain’t science, not by a long yard.

“The science is settled?” Yeah, it pretty much is, actually. And the chips didn’t fall in AGW’s direction. Which is why the acolytes have had to do a lot of ducking and diving, shucking and jiving, to gin up some phony divinity for their false god.
