U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan tried to make contact with people linked to al Qaeda.
It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.
This is just about the worst result possible, isn’t it?
Not only did the the Warrantless Harding Administration eavesdrop on poor Mr. Hasan because of his peaceful religion, and violate his Sacred Constitutional Right to Commit Treason–but then they didn’t do anything about it! They left him in place!
I guess they were still too busy trying to figure out how to arrange for Karl Rove’s frog-march to arrest Maj. bin Laden, Jr. here.
BREAKING UPDATE: Fox says Hasan is talking. That’s bad news for Eric Holder, who will be forced to recuse himself from representing Mr. Hasan like his law firm represents 18 other detainees.
