More “Diversity”, Less Treason
The Telegraph: “Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut.”
Also, the press has been full of PTSD stories this weekend. The media is basically inventing a new disorder to explain Hasan’s act—pre-traumatic stress disorder.
Because Hasan had never been in combat, you see.
There was a girl in a parking lot who saw a black man walking toward her late at night. Her car was the only one around. Yet she did not run to its safety. She didn’t want to be “racist”. Sure–she got raped, but, hey, at least she wasn’t a bigot! The Army also ignored the reasonable danger signs and got raped. But at least they’re “diverse”.
It’s time to roll out Ace’s old joke:
Two social workers are walking down the street. They hear moans and groans coming from the alley, so they decide to investigate. They find a man badly beaten and bleeding, clearly a victim of violent crime. One social worker turns to the other and says “This is terrible–whoever did this really needs our help!”
That’s not just a joke about the liberal world view of social workers; it’s exactly what we’re doing at Ft. Hood.
“OMG! OMG! It’s horrible!”
“What’s horrible?”
“Another Muslim wack-job just shot some people…”
“Another shooting? That’s terrible!”
“No-not the shooting–I’m scared there might be a hate crime committed in retaliation!”
We’re brushing right past the bleeding bodies of real victims to worry about the danger…to diversity! We lose sleep at night over hypothetically-possible reprisals by “right-wingers” or “white guys” or “Christianists”, forgetting the actual victims while we bemoan the potential fate of non-existent future victims.
It’s sick and it’s got to stop.
That’s the Monkey Meat Media; forget the Hate Crime that’s bleeding all over your shoes and worry instead about the Mosque-Burnings that Never Seem to Materialize. Then it blows over until next time, and it’s Lather, Rinse and Repeat.
I’m sick of it. I’m not pretending any more. I expect these games from the Media, but not from the commanding general. Regardless, I’m not playing that game ever again.
Our Army reflects our nation’s diversity. Good. But an Army also needs Unity. Unity of command, unity in loyalty and unity of purpose. Hasan violated those precepts (and several specific criminal laws as well), yet he skated by on his ethnicity. The Army totally blew it.
If this be diversity, then make the most of it.

We're going to tolerate ourselves into another several thousand body bags if we're not careful. There's only so much "tolerance' one can commit until it becomes ridiculous. And I think we're at that point right now.
For anyone to claim it's unknown if religion was behind the attack is just nuts. This was a jihadi attack. It was a terrorist action committed by a man who signaled his intentions quite clearly before hand.
Diversity might sound good on paper, but when diversity becomes more important than security, things get dangerous and deadly real quick.
I hope we can wake folks up soon, otherwise we've got some very bad days ahead.
