She was asking for it, right, libs?

September 29th, 2009

Looks like one of the very few rights liberals are willing to grant women is the right to be drugged and ravaged by correct-thinking men any time they feel like it:

“I know it wasn’t rape-rape. It was something else but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and and when they let him out he was like ‘You know what, this guy’s going to give me a hundred years in jail I’m not staying,’ so that’s why he left.”

He never actually went to jail, of course; that was kinda the whole point of Polanski going fugitive. And I’m not sure what the statute is in the land of the fruits and nuts, but I’m pretty sure there isn’t really a legal distinction made between “rape-rape” and plain old rape. But then, I’m not as willing to make excuses for monstrous filthbags as Hollywood liberals are for one of their own.

Absolutely disgusting. Like I said yesterday, is there no scumbag too vile for liberals to defend? Obviously not.

Errata! I was wrong: Polanski did go to jail..for all of 42 days.

Paragraph 16 of the declaration of Polanski’s lawyer says: “Judge Rittenband announced to counsel that he now intended to send Mr. Polanski to prison for the second time under the following conditions: (1) that he serve 48 additional days in prison…” The other conditions were that there would be no further hearing, and that Polanski “deport himself.” Polanski had been sent to prison for a “90-day diagnostic” and had served only 42 days; the 48 days was meant to complete the 90 days.

WELL. That changes everything. I guess we all ought to just accept the H-wood liberal idiots’ argument and admit that 42 days is plenty enough time to serve for raping a child. In all cases, not just when the crime is committed by one of their own.

John Nolte asks another pertinent question:

Yes, these are the values of those who control the most powerful propaganda device ever created. Which begs a question: If his unspeakable deed doesn’t meet the standard, what exactly would Roman Polanski have to do in order to become a pariah in this town…I mean, besides vote for Sarah Palin?

That one pretty much answers itself, I think.

Depravity, thy name is Liberal.

So it wasn't rape-rape because he only somewhat drugged her, right? I'm betting that the sales of rohypnol skyrocket as would be rapists everywhere try to find that magical dosage which will absolve them of the dreaded rape-rape conviction.

Good thing for Polanski that he isn't a conservative. That's the one sin that liberals can never excuse.

Stopped clock and all that, but at least this time, Amanda and I are on the same page. Now if you'll excuse me, I think that I just saw four guys on horseback ride by my window.

It is so comforting to know that Whoppi serves on some board of a group against violence against women. Oh, but this was a 13 year old victim, not a woman, so it is ok to rape a child. Children have no rights, you know. Polanski would have been made an honorary doctor had he killed her once he was done - performing a late term abortion, you know.

    Woah woah woah.

So, he went to court, was found guilty, served his time AND followed the Judge's instructions to go live in another country?

The original story was that he committed the crime then fled the country instead of facing the music.

Seems like a non-story to me now.

Ok ok. I read the Article you linked to. It looks like he cut a deal with the Judge in his chambers, but it was different than the ruling. Then he left the country?

...what exactly would Roman Polanski have to do in order to become a pariah in this town...

Well - if he said anything that was actually critical about The Beauteous Michelle or The Big Won Hisself, I 'spect they'd probably diss him at least a bit.

'Cause, of course, that would obviously be racist, y'know...
