Joe Wilson was right

September 11th, 2009

And surely you knew that the Democrat Socialist PPDM (Politics of Personal Destruction Machine) would get cranking right away to try to ruin Wilson utterly, right? Unfortunately for them, this is the best they’ve managed to come up with, and it’s ludicrously pathetic:

Wilson took caffeine pills in 2007
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), who shouted “you lie!” at President Obama during his Wednesday night address to Congress, admitted to regularly consuming caffeine pills in 2007.

It is unclear if Wilson still takes NoDoz, a brand of pill that contains 200 milligrams of caffeine a pop. By comparison, a seven ounce cup of drip coffee contains 115 to 175 milligrams of caffeine.

SCANDALOUS! No mention whatever made of the Crackhead In Chief, of course. Because that’s diff’runt! Ace’s headline sums that up nicely:

Vetting: The Hill Notes Joe Wilson Used to Take Legal No-Doz Caffeine Pills; Forgets President Used to do “Grass” and “Blow”

Oh, they’re transparent, all right. You can see right through ‘em, even in the dim light of their low-watt commitment to “journalistic ethics,” an antiquated notion that gets more self-contradictory and laughable by the day. Meanwhile, this would seem to indicate that Joe knows what kind of mangle he’s going to be put through for speaking truth to power — or, as our scum-sucking douchenozzle of a pee-Resident might put it, calling him out:

Today I need your help more than ever before. I’ve been under attack by the liberal left for months because of my opposition to their policies, especially government-run healthcare. They’ve run commercials in my home district and flooded my office with phone calls and protestors. They’ve done everything they can to quiet my very vocal opposition to more government interference in our lives. Now, it’s gotten even worse.

But I will not stop fighting against their policies that will only lead to more government interference, more spending, and higher deficits.

I know that my voice is serving as the voice for Americans across the country who are tired of irresponsible government programs that have only worsened our situation. During the August recess, I listened to thousands of concerned taxpayers who are mad at the rate in which liberal Democrats are spending their hard-earned money. They were shocked distraught by our nation’s slide toward extreme liberal big government and the attempts by Democrats to nationalize the auto industry and the banking industry.

I am also frustrated by this, but watching my Democratic colleagues in Congress scoff at the protests of their constituents has made me even more infuriated. Unfortunately I let that emotion get the best of me and I reacted by speaking out during the President’s speech. I should not have disrespected the President by responding in that manner.

But I am not sorry for fighting back against the dangerous policies of liberal Democrats. America’s working families deserve to have their views represented in Washington, and I will do so with civility. But I will not back down.

The liberal smear machine, of which the establishment media is so integral a cog, fully intends to try to destroy Wilson exactly as they did with Palin, Joe the Plumber, and any and every other American who speaks up effectively against their agenda. If you can, toss this fine, upstanding American a few bucks.

Oh, and as for that apology? Screw that noise; he owes not one damned thing to anybody, far as I’m concerned. Bill says it best: “Something is wrong with the notion of ‘decorum’ in public discourse when it is used to prevent calling an obvious liar a liar.” Exactly so. There’s a difference between being civil to those who merit it and being a hapless patsy for those who don’t. None of us should ever, ever shrink from calling Obama and his buttlicks exactly what they are, and “polite” be damned. “Polite” is what got us here in the first place.

Joe Wilson was first, last, and forever…RIGHT. This is rapidly becoming not just a dispute but a war. We fight the collectivist cocksuckers, and fight hard…or we lose. I know which side I’d rather be on. The ditherers, fence-sitters, and weak-tea sob-sisters of civility will soon be forced to choose for themselves.

We can chose between calling a spade a spade, or war to the knife and knife to the hilt.

    Their choice, their move....
