And of COURSE Obama knew exactly who and what he was hiring. Obama the Commie’s Green Jobs czar must go? What on earth for? Anybody who really thinks Obamandias, King of Kings, would hire anything else is fooling themselves. As Bill says, the time for shock and surprise over such things is long past, if it ever really existed in the first place:

Look. Obama has palled around with socialists and commies since his early youth. Everything about him indicates he believes socialism, at least, is his preferred ideology. Even his party has become, essentially, a Euro-style Socialist Democrat party.

The time for surprise at what he is should be ending, and the time of action to do something about it should be swinging into high gear.

Exactly. We know what Obama is and always has been; we’ve seen him lie through his teeth about his true political predilections and get caught at it again and again and again, throwing mentors, allies, friends, and fellow travelers under the bus when, and only when, it becomes politically necessary to do so. I see no compelling reason to allow him to continue the charade this time by ditching his fellow radical Jones, mumbling some disingenuous folderol about this not being “the Van Jones I thought I knew,” and then our side getting the vapors and fainting dead away all over again when his next extremist appointment goes sour.

Let Obama be Obama, I say. It’s a lot easier fighting back when America’s enemies are right out in the open, rather than skulking through the halls of power under a cloak of false moderation. Let Americans get a good, hard look at the kind of people they allowed to squat in the White House and shit all over our founding principles. Let them learn what voting for Democrat Socialist scoundrels gets them. Let them see clearly, once and for all, what the Left is really all about: destruction, envy, hatred, corruption, and tyranny.

Nobody has any excuse to continue being fooled by this hard-Left mountebank — nobody. It was plain what he was from early on, to anyone who bothered to look beyond the liberal-media snowjob. To think for a moment that his appointees are somehow going to depart from hard-Left orthodoxy when Obama himself doesn’t is to engage in the same sort of magical thinking we routinely mock liberals for.

And did I say “hard Left orthodoxy?” You bet I did, and Jones could be a poster child for every rampant Left sophistry and liberal pet cause you could name. Anti-American? Check. “Bush knew…?” Check. Anti-war, except those waged against the US, which are spun as legitimate, courageous “uprisings” against “imperialism” and “oppression?” Check. Anti-oil, anti-coal, anti-any kind of progress, green-weenie extremie? Check. Anti-capitalist “oppression?” Check. “Free Mumia?” Check. Anti-Israel? Check.

The guy’s little more than a walking, talking, blibbering angry-Left cliché, leaving no liberal-shibboleth stone unturned, as even his recording-star career shows:

Bombing babies in the night. Two wrongs don’t make a right…The US needs to exit its colonies in Iraq, in the region and finally in Israel.

Van Jones: At this point. The end of the occupation. The right of return of the Palestinian people. These are critical dividing lines in human rights. We have to be here. No American would put up with an Israeli-style occupation of their hometown for 53 days let alone 54 years. US tax dollars are funding violence against people of color inside the US borders and outside the US borders.

Instead of wondering whether or not the Obama junta properly vetted the guy, we ought to be wondering what kind of people these eternally shocked milquetoast pseudo-conservatives thought an ideologue like Obama was ever going to have working for him in the first place. And we ought to wonder where such purblind Pollyannas get the gall to think that anybody ought to be paying the least attention to any passel of stupes and dupes gullible enough to grant the benefit of the doubt to a proven flimflam artist like Obama.

Oh, and one more thing: any Left nitwit seeking to retaliate by mentioning Birthers (a conspiracy theory brought into being in the first place by Democrat Socialists, by the way) ought to be very forcefully reminded of how the Right deals with its fringe nutcases — by exposing and debunking them ourselves — and how the Left deals with theirs: by appointing them to positions of power in the federal government.

Update! Another thing by which no sensible person should be the least bit surprised. Disgusted, sure. Pissed right the hell off, absolutely. But surprised — sadly, dismally, emphatically, no.
