Let’s let the post office run health care!

August 12th, 2009

Obama steps in his own mess again:

I think private insurers should be able to compete. They do it all the time. I mean, if you think about, if you think about it, um, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. Right? The, uh, no they are. I mean, it’s the post office that’s always having problems.

EXACTLY, dumbass. Thanks for making our point so effectively. Now go ahead and try to lie your way out of that one with another of your backpedaling “clarifications.” Sheppard says:

Let’s make one thing perfectly clear: Barack Obama without his teleprompter is like a trapeze artist without a net.

Yep. The supposedly most intelligent person ever to be in the White House really said these words as a reason why Americans should trust government to provide healthcare.

AP piles on:

Well, now I’m sold. If only he’d sweetened the pot and promised us it’d be like the DMV, I’d be ready to don an SEIU shirt and beat some protesters myself.

Heh. Too rich: on the extremely rare occasions that they stop trying to trick and/or bully us into accepting the socialist bit, slip up, and are up-front about it, they trip over their own feet. Lying isn’t working anymore, and they simply can’t be honest. Oh, what a tangled web they’ve weaved. Uhh, woven. Uhh…oh, you know what I mean.

I’ll just put this post in the Obama Lies category; no need whatsoever to start up an “Obama tells the truth” one, I don’t think, since I really don’t see it happening more than once or twice during the remainder of this one-term wonder’s bust-out run.

(Sorry for the length of this comment.. I got fired up and the fingers wouldn't stop.)

Man, this is why I love this blog. None of this namby pamby nice nice crap. I'm so frigging sick of this 'we gotta be nice' business. I was NEVER convinced these assholes were anything more than thugs and look how right we've been? The post office? Are you kidding me???? This has got to be the ONLY time a lib has pointed to the post office as a "success." Good GOD this man is NUTS! I can hear it now: "Someone drag out the Big Book of Excuses, the boss has fucked up AGAIN! Where the hell is the 'prompter ..."

I'm just glad some of our fellow Americans are finally pulling their heads out of their asses and taking at look at what's really going on. And isn't it funny hearing these little bitches squeal and whine when they're given a taste of their own medicine.

This president and his half-assed congress (I do not use caps at the beginning of those words because I do not feel either party deserving of respect.) used the biggest con in history to get elected and now they're being exposed as the scum they are. If it wasn't so tragic for our country and our children, I'd be laughing my ass off. But seeing the American people being beaten and threatened by thugs called into the fray by a sitting president isn't something that makes me want to laugh. It makes me want to cry.

I never thought I'd see the day a president of this country would call on its citizens to rat each other out and/or tell those who don't agree with him to shut up. And I certainly never imagined a day when a president would call on thugs to pick fights and use physical force to quiet dissent.

I spent the last eight years gritting my teeth and biting my tongue when confronted by rude libs who insisted on shoving their opinions in my face. I've been told (despite the fact that my husband retired after 20 years in the military) that I was an idiot to support the war and could not possibly know what it was like to worry about a loved one in harm's way. I had Bush memorabilia stolen from my desk and was actually harassed in my place of work because liberals felt they had a right to confront me because I had the balls to express a view they didn't like. During this whole time, while it pissed me off, I kept my mouth shut and thanked them for their opinions because that is what free speech is supposed to be about. I have my say, they have their say.

But it turns out that these same people do not believe this. They believe the ONLY opinion that matters is one that agrees with them. And it seems their "leaders" feel the same way. Am I surprised? Not really.

After all, this presidency has been nothing but a pack of lies. It comes as no surprise that a group of people who had no respect for the office of president while Bush was in the White House has no respect for the office now that they're in it. Rather, they see it as a position that allows them to flout more than 200 years of history and force their beliefs down the throats of misguided Americans who are too stupid to know what's good for them.

This gang took over the White House with no respect for the history of this country. Just look at the man who is leading them. He has no idea how to behave, down to not having a clue about military protocol, he can't figure out when to salute, when to shake hands, when to put his hand over his heart, nothing. He insults our staunchest allies, snubs their monarch, then turns around and bows to the king of a country who has done much to facilitate the killing of Americans in the past.

His minions sneer at White House tradition, refusing to wear proper attire while at work, putting their feet up on desks and generally behaving like a bunch of unruly teenagers let loose in mommy and daddy's mansion for the weekend.

And now this president and his congress are thwarted in their efforts to shove health care reform down our throats and they begin to throw temper tantrums and hissy fits worthy of any preschooler.

Excuse me, Mr. president, this is America calling. The people of Germany may have bowed to the will of the Third Reich. The people of Russia may have fallen for the "good for all" ideas of the Bolsheviks, Stalin and the Soviet state. But do not forget. This is America. And no matter how many asshole thugs you send against its people, they will fight back. They will express opinions and disagree vehmently. It's the American way.

This is not Iran, Mr. president. Nor is it Venezuela or any other backassward socialist outpost. This is America. And as your secretary of state said in 2003 "I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration."

And that right is for EVERYONE, not just ObamaZombies and lefty apologists.

Barack Obama without his teleprompter is like a quadraplegic trapeze artist without a net.

There. It wasn't your remark, but I fixed it.

Eh, I disagree, he's more like a trapeze artist with sharp knives attached to his toes performing his act above an open septic tank.
