Stanley Milgram’s experiment was conducted in 1963, before the internet, social media, and the complete takeover of the U.S. by the Deep State. His estimate that only 20% of the population have the critical thinking skills to defy authority may have been true in 1963, but I think it is far lower today. The powers that be (invisible government per Edward Bernays) utilize every tool at their disposal to make sure their authority is not defied. They have perfected Bernays’ propaganda techniques, integrating lies, misinformation and fear into their formula of control.
Witness everything that has happened in the last several years as proof they have been successful in suppressing any substantive defiance to their authority. The entire Covid scamdemic was a modern day Milgram Experiment and the vast majority of the world population were duped into believing the annual flu was such a horrific threat that they agreed to be locked down, lose their jobs, treat others like lepers, mask & distance, give their government unlimited authoritarian power, agree to censor and cancel critical thinking dissenters, and ultimately be injected with an untested, toxic, gene therapy that failed to combat covid, but certainly has caused millions of “sudden deaths”, turbo cancers, and myocarditis in young people.
Those who questioned the clearly stolen 2020 presidential election have been systematically destroyed by those in authority. Make a critical thinking case about rigged voting machines, fraudulent mail in ballots, or ballot stuffing, and you lose your livelihood, like being shocked in a Milgram Experiment. The authorities declared January 6, 2020 an armed insurrection, but no Trump supporters were armed or killed anyone. An armed black government thug killed an unarmed woman, but he was declared a hero by the authorities that engineered the fake insurrection.

We studied Milgram’s “experiment” in school back in the 70’s, but I had forgotten the mans name.
The virus scam fit the pattern to a “T”. The CIA has conducted experiment after experiment after experiment and honed to perfection the art of deception and willing compliance.
We paid for the research, we just didn’t know the target was us…
A few important notes about the Migram experiments.
First, he may have overstated the results just a teeny bit. People didn’t follow instructions to zap the guy just because a guy in a white coat told them to. Rather, the lab coat guys told them, increasingly forcefully, to zap, going up to full yelling. This is clearly shown in some of the videos of the experiments. I posit that many of the reluctant subjects gave in to the browbeating rather than to the asserted authority.
Second, the effect is much stronger in the general reporting and the popular imagination than even Milgram’s claims in his papers.
Third, both supporting and building on the first point, replication attempts have shown mixed results. This includes follow-on experiments by Milgram himself. Yes, there is a tendency to follow the instructions of those in authority or who have the appearance of being authorities, but the inclination is not nearly so strong as first claimed and sometimes isn’t present at all. Conceded, this may be in part because people had heard of the original experiment and were not the naive subjects Milgram first used. It may also be because of a general reduction of faith in experts from the mid-1960s (original experiment) and early 1970s (failed replications).

I’d guess well over half the people in this country wore a mask and 75% of those did so with glee, because they were told to do it by “authorities”.
You could be right about those numbers but it’s not what I saw. Most people wore the face diapers resignedly, in the sense that it wasn’t worth fighting. Very few were happy about it and only a few Karens seemed inclined to demand that others wear them. (There were a fair number of store managers who told me or others that we had to wear them, but that could easily be explained by the county and state health departments threatening to close them down if they didn’t bend the knee to every tyrannical demand.)
Noted that our locations are different and I seldom went out for much other than groceries.* Even then, I went toward the small towns, not toward the “big city” of Albany, and the entire Albany area is much smaller than Charlotte.
* As the joke goes, you know that you’re a shut-in when a lockdown is declared and your lifestyle doesn’t change.
As I say, it’s a “guess”. It is based upon the reading of what others experienced as much as my own. I typically went to the store and ignored their “policy/requirement” and know others that did the same. But I noticed one hell of a lot of people wearing their mask, while walking, while driving, plus reading on multiple websites the nanny mentality.
Could be wrong, but I think it’s safe to say that 1) many willingly went along with it, and 2) every bit of it had been gamed out by the three letter agency’s, namely the CIA and it’s psychological unit.
That could be enthusiastic embrace of the nanny health state directives, but it’s more easily explained by stupidity. Or, to be as kind as possible to those unfortunate souls, explained by vast, inexplicable ignorance of the basics of disease transfer and prevention.
I saw it written numerous times at normally non-political blogs – “Dr Fauci says…”
Stupid? Yea, “they” depend on it.
For the record, the 20% estimate with critical thinking skills is way too high. I’m not sure 20% even think at all.
