“No, I want to change party affiliation.”

“Oh,” she said. “Had enough of the president, have we?”

“Up to here. I quit.”

So...a fair-weather democrat has decided to become a fair-weather republican? Mmmm...okay, I guess, but it was spineless, fair-weather "republicans" who gave us McCain, was it not?

Or could it just be that this guy is a contrarian who likes to side with the out-of-power party so he can take potshots at those in power without having to actually defend anyone.

I guess it's a good sign that people are getting fed up with Teh Messiah Obama but really, things have got to get a lot worse (Jimmy Carter style) before we see any kind of major shift in power.

They do not necessarilly need to get worse for Republicans to gain seats in 2010... Obama just needs to continue to be Obama...Everytime he comes up with an idea to "Fix Something," he loses at least 5pts in his approval ratings.

After reporting that 58% approval was Obama's lowest approval rating, the day after that Gallup shows a 57% approval. Not sure what the error percentage is but if we assume no higher than 3...

Then Obama is only liked by 4% more people than those who dislike him or are undecided/indiffernt. Shifting 4% is really all it takes to gain those seats!

*OOPS* Clarification. I mean "CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS."

I can assure you that the Republicans running for 2010 will be under pressure to do something to prove their Conservative credentials...such as signing a "Tax Cut" pledge or a "Smaller Government" Pledge which includes areas they would cut or reduce.

Republican voters are going to put TONS of pressure to ensure our candidates adhere to conservative principles and Free Market Strategies for getting our Country Back on the Economic Growth and Military Strength Path.
