IBD reports on the growing “Tea Party USA” movement; Michele has more as well. Myself, I just wanted to add another “bravo” to the chorus — and to point out what we’re up against:
Liberal supporters of the stimulus don’t see the demonstrations having much impact.
“These protests are probably ideological rather than practical,” said Robert Borosage, co-director of the Campaign for America’s Future. “As the crisis gets worse and people look for jobs and the (stimulus) money starts moving out…people will be grateful.”
And there you have it: liberalism in a nutshell. Obviously, those pitiful few of you dumb peasants out there protesting don’t even know enough to show proper gratitude when your masters toss you a few meager shekels of your own damned money back, after they’re done deciding which of their big-government pet projects the overwhelming bulk of it will be wasted on.
Remember when liberal Democrats used to deny that they were the “tax and spend” party? Remember when they used to pretend to care about such things as deficits and fiscal responsibility?
How long will the rest of America be content to sit back and be lectured by these supercilious tyrants as they steal half their hard-earned and squander it on useless nonsense, while rolling individual liberty back and julienning the Constitution?
They simply must be stopped. If the socialists want to live in their idea of a statist utopia, there are any number of places they can go to do so. Freedom-loving individualists who have no wish to subjugate their dreams to an amorphous and government-run collective, on the other hand, only have this one. Let them depart from us in peace, and may posterity forget they were ever our countrymen, to truncate a most apt phrase.

Exactly.
