This I vow

January 19th, 2009

A reminder for you Obamadolts:

Mrs. Bush congratulates me on my recent graduation. Then the president asks in which direction my chair was facing. At the ceremony, Yale had given him an honorary degree, and during his speech, in a remarkable act of disrespect, a large portion of my graduating class had turned their seats 180 degrees, facing their backs to the president.

“I’m really sorry about that,” I say. “It was an embarrassment to our class and to the university.”

For a moment, the president—a Yale man from a family of Yale men—looks down at his plate, like a child who’s been scolded. “Yeah, that was a tough one.”

More:

As Bush, in blue academic robes, accepted his award and rose to speak, the graduates raised a sea of yellow protest signs with slogans such as “Conservation, not Consumption,” and “Execute Justice, not People.” Students booed, hissed and heckled the president, and some turned their backs on him, made gagging sounds or shouted “Go away!”

Students from the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies wore miniature power plants on their mortar boards, burning incense through tiny smokestacks. Scott Hedges, whose power-plant graduation cap even had a toy coal car, joked that “emissions requirements were waived” for his polluting cap under Bush’s new energy policy.

More than 170 Yale professors boycotted the ceremony because they said Bush was not worthy of his honorary degree. Students wore stickers declaring “Got Arsenic?” and “5-4,” a reference to the Supreme Court decision that essentially handed Bush the presidency. A banner flying from a dorm room window portrayed Bush as Mad magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman wearing a pin that said “Worry.”

As Wordsmith says, he had been in office all of five months, although the unhinged vilification started the moment Al Gore was forced to abandon his attempt, via a platoon of lawyers dispatched on election day, to steal the 2000 election.

You cocksuckers want to bleat some more about “unity” to me? Save your breath, lackwits, because it ain’t gonna happen. All the aforementioned wouldn’t matter much anyway; the day I start waving your precious new flag in mindless joy over the swearing-in of an avowed socialist as (p)Resident — after an election so rife with fraud and misconduct as to make even the crustiest old Chicago-machine hack’s heart swell with pride — is the day I…well, that day will never come, I assure you.

Throw in your sanctimonious “unity” moralizing; your arrogance and self-righteousness; your blank determination to make people like me conform to your decrepit and counterproductive vision of a bleak American future that leaves the original promise of American liberty and strength trampled in the dust, because you know better than our ignorant Founders ever could’ve; add it all up, and it means I’m not only going to tear into you and your Marxist Messiah as viciously as I can for the next four years…I’m going to enjoy it.

No honeymoon, no “give him a chance,” no respect — nothing. Not from here. That’s the CF pledge, starting right now. And I’ll also be spending some time hacking away at any so-called conservatives who advocate laying off him, too. Insignificant, and ultimately meaningless? Probably. But I have no intention of going gently into that good collectivist night.

Mockery, derision, harsh invective — all but a few of the arrows you expended over the last eight long years ought to be picked up and fired right back at you. And they will be. The only ones from the Lefty quiver we should leave lying are the ones that are simply too filthy — assassination fantasies and threats, rooting for our enemies in wartime, outright lying, treason and sedition — for any decent American to touch. No sense of decency, decorum, or patriotism ever stopped you, of course, or even gave you a moment’s pause for reflection. But we’re better than that.

“Unity,” my chapped ass. Go ye and fuck yourselves a-runnin’. You get what you give, douchenozzles. And I hereby promise to do whatever small bit I can to see to it.

Update! Yeah, yeah, I know. Shorter version: as you were, as one of our military readers just pointed out in an e-mail. What can I say but: heh.

I rarely post a comment to just say "Me, Too!" but I will do that this once. This is what I have said since 11/5/08. He gets the same respect the Left gave my POTUS, GWB. NONE!

I'm with you! I just moved your blog to the top of the list that I read every day.

Unity would mean that I would have to put myself on the same level as the Obamamanic scum. I just ain't going there!

I think I'm going to go buy a flag and fly it upside down--the universal sign for distress. Seems apropriate.

Do we really want to behave like the animals on the left? I think we are above that. Let's hold BO's feet to the fire on issues - we will have plenty of opportunity if he governs as he campaigned.

I'm with you, Mike! If we had to put up with 'Bushitler' they can damn well live with 'ObaMao' or any other appellation we come up with.
Maybe you can start a contest..?

Oh, and alosersayswhat? I won't leave it at that and be mean to a fellow traveler, but that's the kind of talk that has permeated Conservatism and the Republican party for the last eight years. What exactly has it done for us? Looks to me like the party with the biggest whiners and the least amount of scruples has been mopping the floor with us. Let's take a page.
