Take it to them
As Captain Ed says and you all no doubt know by now, Hamas finally got the war it wanted with Israel. Here’s hoping it’s the beginning of the end for the filthbags– a real end, a final breath for at least one group of terrorist scum. I had plenty more I wanted to say about this, but martinra’a friend Michael Gelfand beat me to the punch:
This is not going to be a pedantic piece of writing. As I’m sure everybody reading this knows, Israel has launched a new military operation against Hamas in Gaza. And to get right to the point, they have to crush the mother-f_ckers. This can’t be about securing another cease-fire or even about just getting Gilad Schalit (the Israeli soldier who was captured by Hamas in 2006) freed. This has to be about destroying Hamas.
One of the troubles I have with media coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict is that the media does a terrible job of informing people about what Hamas believes and stands for. If you ask most people what Hamas is, they’d probably say a “Radical Islamic” terrorist group, and, well, that’s about it. You probably won’t hear anything about Antisemitism or Nazism. The reality is, though, that “Radical Islam” doesn’t begin to explain it. These people are out and out Nazis. Hamas is an off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, which worked hand and hand with the Nazis during World War II and absorbed their ideas and beliefs. This is exquisitely documented by German historian Matthias Kuntzel in his book “Jihad and Jew Hatred: Islamism, Nazism, and the Roots of 9/11″ and in the essays that can be retrieved from his website.
Is there more? You betcha. Mere Rhetoric is all over it too; plenty of Omri’s usual piquant and incisive commentary, and none of the sort of depraved moral equivalence the MSM always resorts to anytime Israel bestirs itself in its own defense — well, except here, which doesn’t really count. I’ll have more on this when I get a chance, of course, but for now I’ll just leave it at this: Israel should not stop until Hamas is utterly destroyed, and the twisted opinions of unashamedly anti-Israel and anti-Semitic liberal media types be damned.
