    Don't kid yourself. The Chicago Machine is stronger than ever.
    It stays strong by throwing away the rusty cogs and the weak links.
    Blagojevich was just such a cog--a tool to be used and thrown away. He didn't have the brains or the guts or the loyalty to be a real part of the Chicago Machine; all he had was the corruption and the arrogance. The Machine used him and tossed him away when he was no longer of value.
