Line drawn

Whittle spells it out:

The United States of America — five percent of the world’s population — leads the world economically, militarily, scientifically, and culturally — and by a spectacular margin. Any one of these achievements, taken alone, would be cause for enormous pride. To dominate as we do in all four arenas has no historical precedent. That we have achieved so much in so many areas is due — due entirely — to the structure of our society as outlined in the Constitution of the United States.

The entire purpose of the Constitution was to limit government. That limitation of powers is what has unlocked in America the vast human potential available in any population.

Barack Obama sees that limiting of government not as a lynchpin but rather as a fatal flaw…

There is no room for wiggle or misunderstanding here. This is not edited copy. There is nothing out of context; for the entire thing is context — the context of what Barack Obama believes. You and I do not have to guess at what he believes or try to interpret what he believes. He says what he believes.

We have, in our storied history, elected Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives and moderates. We have fought, and will continue to fight, pitched battles about how best to govern this nation. But we have never, ever in our 232-year history, elected a president who so completely and openly opposed the idea of limited government, the absolute cornerstone of (what) makes the United States of America unique and exceptional.

If this does not frighten you — regardless of your political affiliation — then you deserve what this man will deliver with both houses of Congress, a filibuster-proof Senate, and, to quote Senator Obama again, “a righteous wind at our backs.”

That a man so clear in his understanding of the Constitution, and so opposed to the basic tenets it provides against tyranny and the abuse of power, can run for president of the United States is shameful enough.

We’re just getting started.

That’s for sure. It bears repeating: for Obama and his cultists, the Constitution is worthy only of disdain and dismantling. It is not, for them, the shining beacon that guarantees our liberty; it is an obstacle that must be worked around or ignored. It simply and unequivocally means that they are, at their core, just what we’ve always maintained, to the horror of the mushy “moderates” and in defiance of their spurious calls for “civility” and “bipartisanship:” they are fundamentally, demonstrably, and undeniably anti-American — by definition, in word, in creed, and in prospective deed. The fainthearted will rationalize, dissemble, and shy from acknowledging it; the rest of us must prove that we’re made of sterner stuff. If we allow the governance of this great nation to fall into their clutches, the consequences will be dire indeed.

The Constitution is the bulwark of our freedom; it is anathema to despots, tyrants, and totalitarians — and, now, Democrats, who would set themselves up as all of the above, in direct opposition to the Constitution they wish to see done away with.

It’s been a long, dark road to this sorry pass; it’ll be an equally long, dark road back. But we must not shirk from our sacred duty to tread it.

Update! Spin, spin away, you miserable worms. Try as you might, you can’t hide the truth now. And you damned sure can’t obfuscate it with a bunch of legalistic bloviating and elitist horseshit. We know what you are. We know what Obama is.

Next up: the media lynching of the brave soul who brought this damning video to light. Bill was right to express concern for the guy; he ought to be seriously considering going into hiding right about now. All who reveal the unlovely truth about the One will be severely punished for their heresy, as everyone knows by now.

I did something today I once swore I would never do. I used a credit card to buy something that I couldn't pay off at the end of the current billing cycle. It will probably take me two billing cycles to pay it off.

My purchase? A case (1,000 rnds) of .45 ACP ammunition.

I thought about buying half a case now and another half-case next month but decided there was too much risk of the second order being back-ordered if I waited too long.

Anybody else looking at buld ammo purchases I can't recommend highly enough. I've been buying ammo from them for a couple of years now and I've never had a problem with them.

But we have never, ever in our 232-year history, elected a president who so completely and openly opposed the idea of limited government,

Even if McCain wins the election by a clear margin, the entire Obama movement is going to insist that He by installed as President. No other outcome is acceptable.

If the One is ever sworn in as POTUS, do you ever forsee him leaving office? I doubt that He will ever need to stand for re-election. Who would dare challenge His Eminence?

Even if I'm wrong, suppose that McCain were to be inaugurated without incident. What are the chances that he could govern at all? The virulent opposition to George Bush will seem like a cool summer breeze compared to the implacably destructive hurricane of hatred that McCain will face.

Now imagine Obama being elected without incident. He will face the same implacable opposition from our side because we know that he wants to destroy everything that we hold dear.

Obama's candidacy has already sent us down the road to perdition.

Had the media vetted him properly, he never would have been taken seriously. Instead, they deified him. Now we're all going to pay.

I'd say you've summed up the current position quite well, D: bent over, waiting. There are an awful lot of big bills coming due, very soon.

Well, the scary thing about Obama is not who he is and what he stands for - that brand of wealth-redistributing lefty has been around for at least a hundred years.

The scary thing is that he could not have gotten as far as he has if he did not have tens of thousands, if not millions, of followers who think the way he does, i.e. that the Fed Gov exists for the purpose of providing money, goods and jobs to people who "deserve" them.

One can hope that after "The One" is crowned and beatified and assumes his Holy throne, that his attempts to impose his redistribution plan on an ignorant public (who voted for "change" not realizing that not all change is for the good) will push back the same way they did at Clinton's attempt to nationalize health care in 1993. The best we can hope for is a kind of Jimmy-Carterish presidency fraught with bumbling attempts to hamstring this industry or that, political gridlock on most issues, coupled with a hollowing of the military and a general "malaise" (Carter's only real legacy, other than knucking under to radical Islam) that will Sweep him out of office in 2012.

Because the alternative would be that enough people in this country no longer believe in our founding document and in that case, we would get exactly the government we deserve.

Buy your ammo now, before the illuminati left gets at that old Constitution of ours. Apparently nothing is sacred in this country anymore.
